You'll never expect what you can't see... Par'il sat back in his seat with an expression somewhere between shock and insult. (More shock than insult due to her sudden snap at him.) Despite truly disliking being blamed of wishing to steal her food, he never would admit it. Without saying anything, he slowly turned back to Siom, who was in conversation with Shin-lu.
Siom finally picked up his hammer - balancing it over his shoulder. The wood-chips and other large chunks of lumber began spinning rapidly in a whirlwind around their respective dummies. Siom grinned almost with malicious intent, "Well. Now you insult yourself as a warrior. The point of certain exercises are to show restraint, not to kill; they teach to slowly whittle your opponent to surrender." Siom now started towards the stairs leading from the arena's field to its stands. "Even if one wishes to kill, a target is only there to hone skills before it is worthy of going against an opponent. Plus, a dummy allows for you to not have to hold back while still keeping a clean conscience." He put his first foot on the stair, slowly making his way toward Shin-lu. By now, even Par'il was confused and intrigued with what Siom was saying. "Besides, anytime someone experiences a fighting style - a particular technique - they take away some knowledge of the attack. Upon further review, they can discover a flaw that could unravel the whole point of the attack - a flaw that even through much practice could still be there in the final form of the move even if it is less noticeable - a flaw that if it went unnoticed could determine victory or defeat." He was now standing just a few stairs below the row he was sitting in. "Your next statement may be something along the lines of 'Well you just saw the attack in action and might be able to find a way through it.' Just know, there is much difference between just witnessing an event and actually being apart of it." Siom stood there, waiting to see how Shin-lu would respond.
The dummies had pieced themselves together and were once again whole. They seemed to have started dragging themselves back off the field.
((Sorry Presea, Siom took control there... he wanted to be mean...))

"I sure am Graff! If it weren't for him teaching me, I probably would've been back home doing who knows what." Kayla replied with a smile.

"I doubt it... if your dad hadnt seen skill and will in you, he wouldnt have teached you... but he saw something in you... something that any warrior can see in his enemies, friends and rivals... that give you the right to take in his teachings... Im glad that you can still have the joy of having your dad close to you..."

"Me too Graff." Kayla replied. "By the way, who won the practice match?" she asked curiously.

"Shin Lu and Roy...?, oh yes, you left before the fight was over... well, the big guy won... seems like his fire breath took too much strenght from Shin Lu... but was a wonderful fight... they really showed how to fight... even for a practice match..."

Shin-lu laughed a bit. "Umm warrior?" She said, pointing to herself. "I wasn't in the warrior's guild, I was in the thief's guild. And where I come from, if you're not trying to kill, chances are your opponent is." She then listened to the rest of Siom's little speech. She then just shrugged. "Ok ok, I didn't mean to insult your warrior's vision." She sighed.

"So I guess the bet is off then?" Kayla asked curiously. *What bet?* Isaac sent in question to Kayla. *I'll explain later.* Kayla sent to her father in reply.

You'll never expect what you can't see... Siom was surprised. He didn't think she would back down from an argument that easily. True, they haven't even known each other for a week, and true that, within said time, he hadn't taken special time to speak with her individually, but he felt he knew her better than that. "It's alright - you didn't." His speech was for her knowledge; it had nothing to do with what guild she was in. And she was probably right about being in a 'kill or be killed' situation, but one would think she would still want to hone her skills.
Par'il continued only to stare. With the moment's pause, he decided to stand up. He bowed to the group, whether or not they were paying attention, and spoke softly, "Sorry, but I will be taking my leave." With that he turned and started towards the arena's exit.

((Better I ish. Thank you all for your concernand care.))
Adeva awaited her pursuer, trying to keep her breathing as quiet as possible. It was getting a little hard for her. She was getting scared. She wasn't sure if whomever was following her was good or bad, or if they knew how to fight. What if they did and defeated her? What would they do then? Her body continued to shake. She gripped her staff tighter and continued to wait. When she heard the steps were close enough, she spun her staff around and came around the tree, swinging right at Darks head, though she wasn't really looking.
