Callista backed off of him and smiled. "The one and only!" She couldn't stop smiling and offered him a hoof up. "Sorry I pounced on you. I'm kinda excited to see you."

Callista smiled. "Daddy was upset that a vampire attacked us. He's been out hunting every night since I got home. He's making me stay in the woods and with the wolves. He didn't ask who my friend was though. He assumed it was a girl. I think we're in the clear. How about you? How did your family take things?"

"I'm sorry. Did they throw you any hard questions? Did you tell them about me?" It slipped out before she had time to think about it. She hadn't told her father about him, why would he tell his family about her? She shook her head. "I'm sorry. I won't pry."

Valzar shook his head, "You're not prying and no, I didn't tell them about you. I said I was attacked by a vampire and had to rest out of sight until I could make it home..."

"Serena is ornry still. She's discovered how to make boys do her every whim just by moving the right way and using the right tone." She shook her head. "She took me out to meet the boys she torments. It was so weird though, I accidently bumped into one and it make me feel dirty, like bugs were crawling on me and I was going to be sick. That's never happened before. So many things are changing though, so this is probably only natural."

Valzar frowned, "That sounds very unpleasant..." Besides, something about the idea of Callista around other males didn't sit well with Valzar...he attributed it to protective instincts.

"She's been having some trouble with males and boyfriends," he said slowly. "I don't fully understand it but she was quite upset for a while."
