Hazumu-san So true! He's got the mad skillz! blaugh I'd have better if I was in better shape... and owned a gun (continues grumbling) The highest I've seen anybody score is: Survivor: 90% Asset: 88% Liability: 14% Dead Meat: 10% I think hes in the military, which means he could strongly agree to all the physical shape, weapon skills (maybe even the killing one), and leadership ability, raising his score to "godly" proportions. ...Unless he was lying... but for the sake of discussion, let's say he isn't. ... But I'm still less of a "Dead Meat" than he is.

heart ... Autumn leaves fall and are swept out of sight ...
And it's about time one of us sang on the net ...
Actually I've already lent my voice to a guy in the Soundtracks and Musicals forum who's learning to sing A Whole New World. Not the best of recording days but it's something.
By the way, it looks like people are forming clans for the battle system ((I've been trying to get into every forum in Gaia because I'm BORED) wink . Ha, we've got a head start.

Yeah, well... I've already heard you sing on your Myspace...
I'm not sure if I can sing that pokemon song, though... It might be pushing on the top of my range (and by that, I of course mean without switching to falsetto... which wouldn't fit for the song at all...)
Nah, I think I could do it. I might screw it up a couple of times or have it waiver and sound a little crappy cause it's near the top of my range (I can't sing it soft... sad )
(the numbers of this next bit might be screwed up, as it has been roughly 2 and a half years since I last practiced music, and about 6 years since the events themselves happened. However, the description of the voice parts I could sing are accurate.) I miss the days of middle school and freshman year, where I had (if memory serves) a 3 and a half octave range (in 6th grade, I could sing higher by like... 5 to 8 half-steps higher than the girl sopranos, but could also sing tenor 1 and a little tenor 2 stuff)... for no reason at all. after each summer after Freshman year, though, I kept steadily losing my range (I'm going to blame it on not singing in the summer and not practicing, not voice changing, because for a while, I was losing high notes without gaining low). After my voice stabilized, I got some stuff back, but I still have very few high notes. I miss my freakishly huge range... sad .
... Heh heh heh... My middle school choir teacher seriously used to call me a freak. That was the only time I ever considered being called a freak a compliment, and didn't immediately piss me off.
I'm a baritone now, though. I miss being a tenor... Baritones ad bases don't sing in a lot of bands nowadays, and the ones that do have this gravelly voice that I can't do, because my voice was trained not to be gravelly...

heart ... Autumn leaves fall and are swept out of sight ...
You really have been stalking looking over my pages. redface
They're draft recordings, all done a day or so after each song was written, which means not enough time to work out the kinks ...
Hmm, I used to consider "freak" an insult when I was a kid, but it doesn't strike me as one these days (("these days" having been occurring since the end of primary school)).
Baritones are lovely though and there are great pieces out there for them, but of course, mainly tenors get the parts *scowls*. It's still early days though; some day when you're older you might develop into a tenortone or a baritor ((not sure if I got the latter right)).

It's still early days though; some day when you're older you might develop into a tenortone or a baritor ((not sure if I got the latter right)). Well, to be honest, I wasn't scrutinizing any part of the song, mechanics or otherwise. I was listening to hear the quality of your voice, 'cause I was curious. Voices, accents, and languages have always kind of fascinated me, due to my nature of wanting to learn everything I don't know about, and different languages, accents, colloquialisms, and slang are very hard to know about.... so I'm obviously interested in them. I also like to try and mimic sounds I hear as closely as possible, like accents and voice stuff. Obviously I can't mimic a girl's voice (anymore... stare ) But I still like to listen, especially if I know the person who I'm listening to as a friend. Is it stalking when you just want to learn more about a person so you have more to talk about, or are just curious what they've been up to? I tend to do that with a lot of people, but very rarely. Mayber once every two weeks to a month I'll randomly get the urge to look up people. Like I said (at least I think I said) I started to regain some of my high chest notes already. I'm still missing a large amount of falsetto, but, eh. I still consider "freak" an insult. It's one of the words that is pretty much immediately going to irritate me, whether you say it about me, or any other human being.

I'm going to go to bed now. I have to get up early so I can take my car in to the shop for a safety inspection. My safety sticker expires after tomorrow, and little procrastinating me waited until the last day... how predictable.
See you guys later.

heart ... Autumn leaves fall and are swept out of sight ...
I'm just quick to defend, don't mind me; I keep forgetting I haven't explained why they're so shonky on the page so I just mention it at the drop of a hat.
Especially since contemporary is difficult for me to sing; I'm more comfortable with opera. XD
I don't suppose it is; I've just never known of anyone looking into my pages to know more about me. To keep in touch, maybe, but that's always been the extent of it.
Chacun à son goût; when people call me a freak they do so because they don't know me, so all I can do is laugh at their ignorance, and that's the way I see it when it happens to anyone; people who use those particular insults are only looking for an avenue to feel triumphant over "defeating" the one they oppose whilst trying to hide their own in-superiority.
