For a moment, Slate froze. The dark-Benkei's words stung her, bringing memories of when she'd been a slave back to her mind. No, she thought to herself furiously, shaking them off as she glared back up at him, I will not think of those times, they are long past.
"So now you try and make me out to be someone I am not? You and Benkei are not the same, no matter what your pathetically chauvinistic mind may think. You may share a body, but there are two separate hearts."

He stepped closer, placing his hand between her breasts to touch her sternum, using his dark arts to reach out and attempt to awaken her dark side. Slate struck his hand away, snarling, "There is no more to my good side! I am a Vampire...there is nothing light left about me. I've walked in the shadows for over two hundred years. I have merely developed a sense of who I am, or who I was, and I refuse to be tempted." She looked directly into his eyes. "I can never forgive the darkness in you, Benkei. But I can forgive you."

(Dark Benkei IS perversion.)
"If you won't find your shadow, I shall send you to the realm where they're born!" He swung the massive club, hoping once more to crush her limbs.
"I'm... forgiven?" Benkei felt much better, and his concentration was broken by his new burst of joy. He'd snap out of it soon, but he would have hugged Slate crying tears of joy if his Dark half wasn't in control. Somthing tells me Slate could see that, somehow...

Slaye ducked to avoid the blow, but while the main force of it missed her, the less forceful-but-still-painful-nonetheless blow smashed across her shoulders, immediately shattering one of her arms and sending a wave of agony through her ribs, telling her that at least one or two of them had been damaged as well. She fell to the ground, a scream of pain escaping her throat as she tried to heal as quickly as her body would allow (which is not fast enough, judging by the viciousness of dark Benkei)

Seeing his chance, DarkBenkei swung for a leg. Benkei, having returned to semi-consciousness, managed to will it a few inches off course...
"What!? What is the meaning of this!?!"

Slate had prepared herself for even more pain when dark-Benkei had lunged again, but when he missed, she risked a glance up at him, seeing his look of angry confusion. What? She thought to herself. How did he miss?

He tired again, only to have Benkei barely skew the shot again. "Benkei, you meddlesome twit! Can't you see I'm doing you a favour?"
"Shut your face, you fat ********. I will not have you harming anybody I care about."

Slate could feel her arm slowly coming back into functional status, but the pain in her ribcage was still unnervingly strong. She carefully moved aside as the dark-Benkei struggled with his better half.

"Grr! Do not interfere, you fat oaf! I'm about to get you your woman on a silver platter!" He slammed the weapon down. Even though he missed, the weapon made an impact which would knock even the strongest mortals on their asses. Benkei's hate fuelled his Dark side, so both were equal in strength.
"No! his is not how it should be! A woman's love is a thing earned, not a thing taken! Begone!"
The golden glow on him was growing stronger, yet the evil aura was fluctuating wildly. Something would happen very soon...

Slaye winced as the shockwave from dark-Benkei's wild swing sent her sprawling again. The demon was screaming randomly, but the increasing desperation in his voice made her think that he was starting to weaken. She could only try and stave off the pain in her ribs while she hoped that Benkei could free himself of this thing's influence.

Then, with a flash of light, an amazing thing happened.
Where there was once on person, there was now two.
Dark Benkei and Benkei stood, staring at each other in awe. Benkei's arm was back to normal.
