otawara I hate Protagonist shifts. That's what killed Scrubs. Or arguably, Lupus.  It's not as bad when it's done right, but when it's just a jump to another person's story in the first person's universe, it leaves you wanting more of the first person and I find I, as the reader, end up resenting the new person and not giving them a chance, just because they're not the protagonist I know and love.

I HATE protagonist shifts
The Silverwing series had a protagonist shift and it SUCKED
Shade was BOMB. Griffin is a p***y.
Well not really. I'm still working it out. She 'dies' a couple chapters in, but at the end, the her friends discover she got turned into a werewolf.
This is the one that has super humans, werewolves and vampires fighting. Plot is much more, explanatory.

So far I have a few roles missing-
Optional Boss
The Traveling Vendor
Annoying Sidequest Provider 1
Annoying Sidequest Provider 2
Tell me who you wanna be and their personality, damn it. D<
Add more things as to why they're where they are, their objective, etc.

The thing is, I kinda wanna write it in first person. It'll be a perspective change when she 'dies' though. Not totally a different person's story, since it still focuses on the same group of people. The book will start in first person, then finish in third.
