On closer inspection it looks sort of like a cockatiel. This disappoints me. Thank you though. Also stole this off another page.
- When you start up the games, you will be presented with seven language options - English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Korean. These are the languages previous games in the series are released in. - There are three new Pokémon: The Water/Poison-type Skrelp, the Water-type Clauncher and the Fire/Flying type Talonflame. - The game features a new communication feature which takes place on the lower screen of the Nintendo 3DS - the PSS (Player Search System), which allows players to search for others locally or globally to battle and trade. It will recognise other players playing Pokémon X or Pokémon Y and if you interact with anyone, they will become an "Acquaintance". Afterwards, you will be able to register them as a friend (limited to 100). - A new type of battle has been announced, called a "Horde" - these can be as much as 5-on-1 battles! - Another new type of battle was introduced - "Sky Battles". Only Flying-type Pokémon (and a few exceptions, such as Pokémon with the ability Levitate) can enter these. More as it unfolds...
Found a blurry front shot of the lobster.
Interesting! I'd heard some of those, but not about the registering stuff, which looks interesting. I have a couple more revelant pictures!
Okay, the cut is a lie, but these pictures are a little too big, and I'm lazy. Another blue lobster picture! Confirming the name, even! More Sky Battle stuff, with better pictures of Talonflame (I like the wings!). And Horde Encounters! That's going to make EV training easier, and make random encounters a little terrifying. Imagine surfing, and a horde of Wailord surround... bouncing and smiling and staring. Also, the trainers seem to be named Xavier and Yvette, which are cute but not too surprising.

You have just described the stuff of Raven's nightmares. Also I actually like those names. Horde encounters seems like they'll be rare, or like "double grass" sort of a thing. Just a guess anyway. Oh and anyone else thinking 'Talonflame' will end up being Phoenix-ish at the final stage?

I live to give Raven nightmares! I agree about the rareness, as it would suck to be a beginner trainer, and then right off the bat have like five Fearow staring you down like "you came to the wrong neighborhood". And I'm all for a phoenix!mon that isn't a legendary.
And EVEN MORE THINGS!
Miscellienous, kind of unorganized info, some more relevant than others.
7:24: Online battles will basically be the same as before, but you can pick which music you want to use for them! 7:22: There will be many different transportation methods, but some are localized to part of the region. 7:21: The PSS & 3DS Friend List are fully integrated. 7:21: There will be a rival but the focus will be on connecting with others now instead of just the rival. 7:20: “You can expect to see a Team ‘Something’”. but nothing more on the villainous team. 7:18: Someone asked about Mewtwo formes and they replied with “no comment.” 7:16: The game music will apparently be less digitized now. Will have a different feeling.
Also, apparently someone saw a trainer riding a Rhyhorn, so we might be able to ride more than Gogoat. Radical. Please let me live out my childhood dream of riding a Rapidash, please!

Already have that last part confirmed actually. I am sad about the music in a way.
New images. Talonflame confirmed as the evolved form of Fletchling. It's not a cockatiel. Seems to be more of a Hawk/Falcon (called it...long story, different conversation). Lobster has a shrimp face.
Oh god, all three of them look super disgruntled. This makes me mortifyingly happy. grumpy seahorse come be my friend plz
And on above... the music thing is also a little saddening, but with the mild chnages in Fifth Gen's soundtrack, I can't say I'm too surprised. I have hope it'll be every bit as good as the prior stuff, but I will shed a little nostalgic tear Anyway, one last thing!
So that Pokemon-Amie thing I mentioned earlier? Get this; the higher the bond you build with your Pokemon in this minigame thing, the higher your Pokemon's critical chance/ability to dodge gets. This makes me so happy I kind of want to flit around the room in glee. POWER OF FRIENDSHIP YOU IN THE FACE!
Anyway, I guess this didn't need a cut, but I wanted to post this just 'cause. . DO YOU SEE HOW PUMPED THIS PIKACHU IS TO HI FIVE YOU THIS IS THE BEST INNOVATION EVER

I'll take the flaming hawk and disgruntled shrimp face. ( Clauncher is not amused. stare )
Also...this latest addition you have informed me of is simply magical. Magical I say. Cause FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC!
"A new lion cub-looking Pokemon that's Fire-type was shown in Pokemon-amie."
One word. YES.

I now want team of five grumpy, grumpy Pokemon... and Sylveon, just sort of smiling in a chill manner in the back. Also for your last comment...
"THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP LAUGHS AT EARTHQUAKES" *backflips out of the way*
"I'm sorry, what?!"
Man, I was looking forward to X and Y before, but now I'm really excited! I wasn't expecting all these additions to the way the game is played, and none of them seem obnoxiously intrusive.
Why do I get this image of you and Riku jumping around in a circle squealing?...and then everyone around us getting really creeped out when I join in?
Also that mental image of the five grumps and Sylveon is just marvellous.

Because it would be fitting, adorable, and a bit creepy... from all three of us, really.
ALSO, MORE THINGS! BECAUSE I HAVE AN ADDICTION.
This appears to be part of the PSS, the registration thing, but also shows off customization capacities! LOOK AT THAT HAIR. AND SKIN TONE.
Also, frolicking Sylveon.
Also, someone's mentioned something potentially hilarious with the Pokemon-Amie thing. You've got Mewtwo going “I AM NOBODY’S SLAVE, FILTHY HUMAN. YOU CANNOT KEEP ME CONFINED FORE- wait, is that a biscuit?” And then you befriend the genetic abomination.
Excellent. I would have settled for just one, but all three is better! Also we all have that addiction! This is secretly a support group disguised as a RP guild!
Anyway I actually already so that picture. Nothing I'm too jazzed about, but it does help give a better look at the extent of customization. Though that could make it a real b***h for the guys in charge of the Pokemon Special manga.
And that last bit is...just...marvellous.

"My name's Garden, and I like Pokemon..."
In a way, I'm still a little torn about the customization, because it is sometime nice to have a canon appearance. (Though seriously, can we get some confirmation on what's going on with Brendan/male RSE protagonist's hat thing? Please?) But I like it! However, your comment about PokeSpe makes me laugh heartily, much like I did when I wondered what the manga would do with the protagonists of Black and White 2.
Also, another thing! Not putting it behind a cut because we keep talking about hordes.
MILTANK, WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING THERE? And why are you so grumpy?
It is a hat. His hair is short and blackish-blue just like his father the gym leader. This has been confirmed via the manga. Now as for that last part.
