Charmander picked the Pokeball up, it wobbled in his hand.

"Charmander! That's Mitsu's pokeb-ugh, you over eager..." Mike grumbled to himself.

It seemed like forever and finally the red light ceased its glow. The Pokeball in Chrmander's hand stopped quivering at once. Realization washed over her after a few moments after her very first capture. "I caught a Ghastly!" she cheered nearly forgeting to not yell.

"You were awesome Pidgey, return."Ken said retuing his sleeping bird Pokemon. "Congrats Mitsu." Ken said. "Your very first capture."

Mitsu was beaming with joy. She latched herself onto Ken giving him a hug whispering, "Thanks." She turned to Mike and Willow giving them a brilliant smile.

Charmander whipped around and stuck up two fingers at Mitsu congradulating her on her capture. He skipped over and handed Mitsu her brand new Ghastley.

Mike walked over to Charmander and pet him on the head. "You are a crazy little guy aren't you." He said, unable to keep his smile back. Mike bent down and offered him a little treat as a reward for being so brave.

"Charmander Char!" chirped the estatic Pokemon as he jumped into Mike's arms. He climbed onto Mike's back and hitched yet another ride as Mike stood up.

"Shell..." Shiver had watched the whole time from the sidelines, shaking his "head" at Charmander's over eager attitude. He looked at Misdreavous, still feeling silly for sneezing those icicles at it.

Kasiya cuddled her two Pokemon, her eyes red and puffy from crying. She hadn't moved in a while, but she didn't really feel like going to see the others like this. She looked at the carving on the gravestone, and her eyes flooded again. Just when she thought she couldn't cry anymore....

While on the boat, Kevin and the Fisherman shared a light lunch and talked about water Pokemon for a bit. The Fisherman had begun talking about various fishing techniques that he had found most effective throughout his career when the small boat approached the beach on the edge of Fuchsia City.

As Kevin climbed out of the boat with his Squirtle, he turned to the Fisherman, "Thanks for the ride sir, but I've gotta get going."

"Aye, t'wasnt a problem lad. Iffin' ya need me, I'll be in my shack here in Fuchsia. Its the only house with a pond in the backyard." And with that the Fisherman left.

Kevin wandered around the city wondering what he should do in this new place. While passing the local gym, Kevin stopped to think, Hm, that kid back on Cinnabar said I need a Gym Badge to make Surf work, but I highly doubt that Squirtle and I can handle that right now... Maybe I should try to catch more Pokemon...

"Hey Squirtle!" Kevin called to his turtle-like companion, who was climbing on the Gym sign, "How would you like it if we went looking for a new friend?" Startled by his trainer's call, Squirtle fell off the sign and landed on its back. Flipping itself over, Squirtle flashed and approving thumbs up, accompanied by a "Squirt!"

"Ok, lets go to Lavender Town. I've always wanted to see the Pokemon Tower and I'd like to see if I can catch a ghost Pokemon." With that, Kevin and Squirtle headed to the train station and boarded the next train to Lavender Town.

Mike took a look at Charmander, pondering something.

Charmander mimiced his trainer, placing a clenched little fist under his chin and squinting his eyes.

Mike laughed at his silly Pokemon and clapped his hands. "Hey Charmander, what do you say...to me giving you a nickname?"

Charmander's eyes widened with excitement. He jumped off of the table and grabbed Mike's hand, wanting to go see the Name Rater he had seen when he got off the train.

"Kasiya?" Nina said softly, as she reached the highest floor of the tower. She saw her friend sitting in front of a grave, and faintly heard her crying.
