He noticed Andrea tense up. She had really good instincts, it usually takes people a while to learn to sense when someone's watching them let alone exactly who. He grinned slightly, he had picked a good group of people to train. He noticed a small movement out of the corner of his eye just quick enough to see Ryken slide his hand down his weapon's sheath. Obviously he wasn't the only person watching the group closely. He had to admit that even though he didn't know much about this person he seemed like someone who'd have no problem handling themselves in a fight.

Andrea's gaze drifted through the people nearby as she studied them all carefully, her slender fingers still lightly holding onto the hilt of her sword. A man she didn't know also had his hand on his sword: yet another experienced fighter..people who knew what they were doing, unlike most of the group. Her green eyes slowly scanned the crowd once more before they rested their smoldering gaze on Gregor. His gaze wasn't straight, more like..off to the side, toward's Ryken. And he was grinning a little. She wondered why as she studied the man from afar, her thoughts trying to piece together what kind of person he was.

 There are no such things as coincidence."I like?" Evacy asked, noticing that Andrea was not paying 100% attention at Evacy. "Yeah. It's shiny, and I bet, a lot more useful than what I have." Sighing, she slipped her hand into her sleeve, grabbing a couple of darts for comfort. Following Andrea's gaze, Evacy smirked. "Not checking someone out, are we?" she asked, trying to sound as innocent as possible. There is only hitsuzen

Andrea got a dull look on her face as she turned her head back to Evacy. "Ha ha very funny." she said sarcasitcally. She shook her head before she continued. "He's a fighter, haven't you noticed?" Andrea's green eyes turned their gaze to Evacy's face before they drifted down to her hand in her sleeve. "Hmm..if you'd like we could try to find you a different weapon to use..?" Andrea tilted her head slightly, causing some of her short, black hair to fall on her face which made her glowing green eyes stick out even more.

"I'd love to use something else, like a sword, but it's not like I'm going to have any experience with it..." Evacy sighed. "I'd look like an idiot." Andrea blinked, staring at Evacy for a few moments. "What the hell?" she asked, her cheeks turning a bit red: she was getting flustered. She hadn't been looking at him in that way! Andrea quickly shook her head again before she thought for a moment. "Hmm..well, if you're up to it, maybe I could give you extra lessons to see if you can handle using a sword properly." Andrea offered, trying to imagine Evacy using a sword: she nearly laughed at the thought.

He couldn't even think of what to say or how to react for a few moments as he watched what was happening, "SHUT YOUR TRAPS!" He hollered after a moment ,"You will stand to attention! You will not talk, you will not reach for your weapons like nothing more than scared babes! You will stand there until someone answer the thrice damned question I asked of you! Do you understand you, apes?!" He snarled and looked at Andrea ,"And what do you think you're doing offering lessons with a blade? What do you think your commanding officers are for? They are people who have wielded their blades against multitudes of enemies and killed them. You mind telling me how you can live up to that experience?" He spat at the ground then scanned the crowd as they said nothing.
"I guess I'mma have to tell you pigs the answer, a soldier does not know himself by his rank, his name, his birthplace, or anything such as that.
A soldier knows himself by what he does. Therefore, untill one of you can prove to me that you CAN do something, you don't even register to me or your corporals, not even Lord Tanner.
"But here is your first chance to prove yourself. Come at me, any number of you with whatever weapon you will, I will strike you down unarmed." And with that he tossed down his weaponry and waited.

Andrea clamped her mouth shut when Pix shouted, quickly turning her gaze back to him. She straightened up and pried her fingers off of the hilt of her sword, keeping her hands at her sides as Pix shouted at her. Andrea new better to open her mouth, especially since Pix was now her commanding officer..also Andrea really didn't feel like telling him anything about her as she remained silent and stiff as a board while she watched Pix toss his weapons down. Should she go at him? Her bright green eyes flicked back to Pix, smoldering as she stared at him. No, he was unarmed..and the likelyhood that he would simply crush her was very high.
She shifted, her hand hovering over the hilt of her sword. Should she, or should she not? On one hand she knew she couldn't get to him even with her sword, but still..better her get the crap kicked out of her instead of someone else, like Evacy. Andrea quickly glanced at Evacy and then she was gone, quickly running at Pix with her sword already drawn. When she got to him, she lifted her sword to strike then ducked down and slid around, nearly falling on her but when she did: she had forgotten about the pack. If she didn't do something quick Pix was sure to take advantage of her faultering and bring her down now so she quickly yet firmly brought her sword down in a diagonal cut that was meant to go across his back.

Flexing both her hands, she refrained from joining Andrea, though she really wanted to. "I'd just get the crap beaten out of me." That much, she pretty much took for granted. There is only hitsuzen

Pix never even turning around, he was rather impressed with her feint but all it was all speed, she never even switched her sword position when she got around him, he simply took advantage of the opening she left as she lifted her arms, ready to strike, and kicked behind himself directly at her unprotected naval.

Gregor heard Pix's comment to Andrea about giving Evacy lessons. He would think about that later. He heard pix issue a challenge and he ignored it until he saw andrea charge him. He was beside them in a second. He didn't think anyone would have attacked Pix, espcecially from his group. They seemed like they were level-headed enough to ignore him. If he had known he would have stopped them before they were able to even try. He must have been losing his edge to have missed something like that. It was too late for him to do anything to stop her, but he would do anything else he could to help.

Andrea charged Pix. Catriona's only friend, Andrea, had charged a veteran mercenary. Even Catriona saw the rashness and stupidity of such a move but was surprised nonetheless when Pix landed her a kick that probably would have killed the poor, startled maid sitting a far ways from the group with her hands clasped over her face.
She watched, horrified, through her fingers - mouth gaping and eyes wide. She was dizzy. Her vision blurred for the most fleeting of moments and she closed her eyes against the sight before her and the sudden throbbing at the back of her head.

Kai wasn't going to try and attack Pix. That was suicide.
He watched as Andrea was kicked to the ground... That had just proven his fear.
Tanner watched from further back, no longer with his back turned to the others. He winced as he witnessed Pix's kick slam into Andrea's stomach.
That's a little... harsh, isn't it?
But he kept that thought to himself.
Kai furrowed his brow as he shouted at Pix. "Just what are you trying to prove? We already know you can kick our asses! Was that necessary?"
Kai shook in anger, but also felt like Andrea partly deserved it for her stupidity.

Andrea felt the solid kick to her stomach, gritting her teeth as she flew a short ways backwards before landing. Damn that had hurt..! But at least now she had a better picture of how strong Pix really was. A bit of a crooked grin pulled at the corners of her mouth as her breath started to come back to her. Andrea shifted and pushed herself back up, feeling dizzy but she managed to stand up straight. "Now now Kai, no need to shout.." Andrea's voice was a bit rougher from the kick as she lightly brushed at the footprint on her stomach. "I chose to attack on my own will, no need to get angry at Pix..." her eyes flickered to the nearby Gregor: oh, so he had wanted to help..?
Andrea sheathed her sword, looking around at the staring people, then she noticed something startling. Catriona was on the ground. Her eyes widened and her lips pressed together in a tight line. Andrea moved to get to her as quickly as possible but Pix's kick had been pretty hard: she was still dizzy. She wobbled and stumbled a bit but she still managed to get to the poor girl who had fainted. Andrea kneeled down beside her and gently lifted her head as she looked down at her. "Catriona?" she asked, hoping she would answer. "Catriona?" she asked again, her voice tighter with worry.

((Hate to nitpick, but I'mma have to point out that Andrea's move would have most likely sent her to the ground without Pix ever touching her, I don't care who you are, a maneuver like that with over 50 pounds of stuff on your back is going to unbalance you. ))
"You will address me as sir," Pix growled," And the point of this excercise is to see what your made of. Now are you going to tell me the only one man enough out of all of you is a girl?" He then turned his attention to the girl who had attacked him, "Your speed is commendable but you lack common sense, a slash gave me all the opening I needed and it was unlikely to injure me through my packs and armor, had you feinted a slash then gone to stab me I would have been forced to move out of the way and you would have gotten a chance at really hurting me."
