There is no pickle.
From the looks of this jar, there is no gusto either! ping-rose must have eaten it all...

Alas! I require a pickle.
Perhaps, if you were to venture to the farm located inconveniently at the end of a dungeon, you would be able to find a pickle suitable for a guardian owl. I request that you go find such a pickle!
In return, I shall grant you a power that would serve you very well in this dungeon, but to give it to you beforehand would ruin the challenge.

That's kind of an important step in eating zombie.
It also helps to get one that is only recently deceased, that the flies haven't come for yet....

Eww, that zombie is much too thin. It doesn't have enough flesh for use with alchemy and... such.
