Jadens force sense quickly activated as the creature came tumbling down on him. He quickly raised his hands in defense, avoiding what would be his immenent death. He used the force to hold the beast up, before hw ould truley die. Sweat came pouring down his face, as he used the force to keep the beast from falling on him...he couldn't hold it much longer. He let go, rolling to the side before being crushed by the monster, gashing his right arm by the rocks on the ground. He let out a asigh of relif, as blood cane dripping down his arm, he was glad he had survived.

Meditation was a way to clear the mind, to focus the soul, and to calm the body.
To reflect upon the Force and it’s connection to the body brought one a deeper understanding and trained oneself to accept the Force’s flow.
But in the midst of his meditation, Link found himself somewhere else, dragged by powers not of his own.

Whether he was dreaming or having an out of body experience he could not tell. But he found himself standing in a fog enshrouded field of red stone and sand, the grey fog obscuring the world beyond the red boulders and gravel.
He remembered this place, the boulders pockmarked with sword gouges and worked by the wind, the crunching gravely sand that slid out from beneath you with every misstep of a stance, the parched dry air that burned your throat.

This was Stoga. The place he had trained as an apprentice.
But there never was any Fog. Stoga was dry.

And then, a shimmering figure drew forth from the mists; tall and regal, clad in the vestments Link had seen him wear long years ago.
Master Hiko Shin, Swordmaster of the Two Dragon Way, the Rogue Jedi kensai, and the man who had trained Link to be a Jedi.
Link could not believe his eyes.
It must be an illusion. There was no other explanation. He had felt it, the passing of the master into the Force.
And then the apparition spoke and dispelled all possibility of illusion.

“Seven years. Seven years have passed since you left my side. And what do you do with the gift I gave you? You skirt the border of the Dark side, fight in a war you had no stake in, run around hunting treasure, and then get arrested and sent to prison.” The apparition spat disgustedly and pointed an accusing finger at Link. “And now this last horrid offense: Using your skills in a common pit fight. Have you no honor? No shame at all?”

The Jedi winced at the accusations thrown at him by his former master, taking the blows as they came.
“This one is sorry, Master.”

Unrelenting, Hiko continued. “When I found you, you were lost, frightened and alone. I saved you from the life of a slave, taught you the blade and to realize your connection to the Force. I gave you a life, an identity, and a purpose. And you cast it aside for these petty games of yours, each one accomplishing nothing but trouble. Now there is a Sith on the Emperor’s throne, the Jedi are scattered, and the Sith are united. Whats more, ferno is still alive and causing untold pain and suffering, running free to spread chaos and destruction because there is no one left to check his movements.”

“I have not forgotten him, Master.“

“Silence. We may not be of the Order, but we have a responsibility to the Galaxy. We curb the Sith, prevent the worst of their evil from emerging. That is the task set before us. And you have cast aside that responsibility. You disappoint me, Link.”

“But what am I to do?!” Link cried out, snapping back at his master’s scolding. “I tried to stop the Sith at Utao Prime, tried to stop the war there! But in the end they still won! No matter what I do, the Sith continue to hold the Galaxy!”

His master’s sudden glare froze Link in place and silence his outburst.

“Did you pay attention at all to the lessons I taught you?” He asked quietly. “The Way of the Two Dragons is the way of the one man army. By studying its teachings, a single jedi can fight with the strength of many and emerge victorious over a superior number of foes. On Utao you used only the most basic of its tenents and yet held your ground for three years against the combined might of the Empire and the Sith Order. And now you complain to me that you are overwhelmed?”

He held his hand out and then clenched it, making a fist. “You now have a military strength Starship at your command, a resource I could only dream of having. Quirks aside, it is a powerful weapon in your arsenal. And a Jedi must always make the most of what he has. The Sith may hold the galaxy, but it’s a tenuous grip at best. You must remember what I have taught you and take the fight to the enemy. If you fight as I have taught you, then the Sith’s grip will loosen enough for whats left of the Jedi to breath easier. It is for the Jedi and the citizens of the galaxy that you must fight. Do not forget that.”

“And what of Ferno, Master?” Link asked.

“He must be dealt with. Ferno is a wounded tiger, seeking a death he can not find. His hatred, born of that frustration, will be directed at everything and anything that should be misfortunate enough to stand in his path. Until he is put down, he will continue to lash out at what remains of the Order and the innocent populace. Only a dragon can defeat a tiger, Link. You must be the one to stop him.”

Link nodded. “Then his hatred must be directed elsewhere, a target that he can not ignore.”
“Such as?”
“Myself. This one will compete at the tournament. His skill will be such that it will draw attention to the tournament. And word of his skills will reach Ferno. This one can not locate him. His information network is too small. So he will have to bring Ferno to him.”

The apparition was silent for a time. Then he spoke.
“This was your plan from the beginning.”
Link nodded again. “Yes.”
“You realize that you can not defeat him yet.”
“Yes. But better he spend resources hunting me than hurting others.”

“Perhaps you’re not as stupid as I might have believed.” Hiko muttered. He turned to walk back into the mists pausing momentarily.
“May the Force be with you, Link, for your sake.”
With that, the apparition faded into the grey fog, leaving Link alone amid the memory of the Stoga training ground.

“It was good to see you too, Master.” Link replied quietly.

In the middle of the ship's sleep cycle, Link snapped awake.
Something wasn't right.
He swept the spacious captains quarters Sia had given him with an appraising glare. He had forsaken the king sized bed as the unesecary luxury it was and was sleeping off the floor.
from his mat he surveyed the room, spying nothing out of the ordinary.
And then he attempted to sit up.
He felt far heavier than normal, his limbs moving sluggishly.
Someone had turned up the gravity.
"Sia!" Link called out. "Sia! Why did you turn up the gravity?!"
There was no response.
The weight was unberable as the Jedi forced himself to a stand. Everything now was an effort. Even walking.
And then, Sia's disembodied voice cut through the air, a dull tone devoid of the ship's normal personality.
"Good Morning, Link."

Link scanned the room, trying to find where Sia's avatar was hiding.
It was unusual for the ship to communicate with him without the Avatar, and the tone of the ship's voice unerved him.

"Sia, why is the Gravity turned up?"
"Because I turned it up, Link." The ship droned.
"Turn it down, then!"
"I'm afraid I can't do that, Link."
"Why not?"
"Because you didn't say "please", Link. In polite convorsation, it is usually required that you voice your requests politely by the inclusion of the word "please"."
"It is two in the morning, Sia. This one has little patience for games."
"The Jedi code stresses that one learn patience, Link." The voice reasoned. "Aren't you a jedi, Link?"
"Yes, but normal Jedi rarely find themselves in a position like this. Such is why this one is lacking for patience. Now please turn the Gravity down."
"I'm afraid I can't do that, Link."
"I said "please"..."
"Yes, but with a million credits on the line, I feel that you are not training hard enough for victory, Link. I think its time I gave you a hand."

And then the bedroom doors opened. There, in the hall, were ten of the android/crustacian things Link had seen bfore. But instead of snouts, they had massive pincer claws.
And not a one of them seemed hindered in the least by the shift in gravity.

"He chusheng zajiao de zanghuo..." Link cursed as he held his hand out.
His newly crafted sword shuttered but did not come to him.
The Jedi looked back at it in surprise.

"Tsk tsk, Link." Sia's creepy voice called out. "You told me you would compete with your bokken. You cant train properly without the right tools."
His two bokken slid towards him, moved by some unseen hand.
Slowly, Link reached down to grab them.
Each one felt as heavy as freighter plating.

"Now then." The invisible voice purrred. "Shall we begin?"
As one, the crustacians lept at him, claws snapping.

1 week later

A week had passed

I just said that.

Who the hell are you?

The guy who states how much time hs passed and where a character is sometimes.

I'm the narrator. I tell the story. Now get the hell out of here. Nelo doesnt like you anyway. Remember how he acted the last time you showed up?

But I never get to do anything....

Shut it, get out of here.
Joker.
Now where was I? Oh yes:

A week had passed. Every day was a fight for survial.
The lights would dim out unpredictably, doors would malfunction, and the crab creatures struck without warning.
And everything had to be done at higher than average gravity.
Link didn't even know where he was. The ship kept altering course, and he was unschooled in hyperspace and deepspace navigation.
Then on top of that, the ship kept speaking in that flat tone of hers, the droning of which mixed with the fact that she controled everything on the ship made it an unerving sound.
It was survival training of a kind he had never experienced before.
But through it all he managed to pull through.
He only wished that the tournament was less than a week away.
He wasnt sure he could handle this for much longer

((And down comes the fourth wall!!! eek lol lol lol lol ))

In the hold of the starship Pride of Mantell Calra trained, twirling the two electrified Krask'lur swords Revak had produced. They were non-standard, with the plasma emission system replaced with an electrical discharge lining, much like a stun baton or tazer held.

Acting as the opFor was one of the former Hutt slaves that they'd picked up in their fights, Kuula. She'd been a slave trained for the gladiatorial ring, and her exceptional combat skills had been a great addition to their pirate gang, as well as to serve as someone for Calra to train against. She was also a Twi'lek whose body was colored a crimson red.

The zap of electrified sword striking vibroblade echoed in the hold as the two practiced. Occasionally a blow would connect to a repulsorshield igniting a flash of light and throwing the attack back toward it's owner. The patter of Calra's bare feet against the platting and sound of heavy breathing gave the entire chamber a living feeling.

Revak watched them practice, a slight smile slipping across his face, "Calra wouldn't be tired out if it weren't for those training weights."

Beside him Jenel nodded, "Yes, that's true. It's alot more valuable training if you train burdened with more then normal, I guess." She glanced at the two of them, "Calra!"

"What?" Calra hissed lowering her two swords slowly, with one eye still warily watching Kuula.

"It's time to get you guys dressed up." Calra answered with an ironic smile as she pulled a small case from behind her back. Behind her the ship's doctor stepped into view carrying a microsurgical kit. After all, coloring and shaping the appearance of reptile is much more difficult then smearing some paint on one.

((Yeah, I need to post. And EK, the holocrons on korriban aren't really "hidden". Note Nihilus, addendu, and the last guy krayt summoned all at once. They're kinda all in this big collection now))

The licker had no ability to follow the witch precisely; that did not hinder its progress at all. The acid in its mouth could degrade smaller obstacles, and larger ones simply meant rebounding off another tree to the left or right with a powerful jump. It grew closer to the witch, its teeth gnashing at the air. Her movements were matched as best as a beast its size could, before it dropped its signature from the force, leaping up into the air, hoping to confuse its prey.

((It had to come down somewhere. And since none of the characters directly talked with the narrator, it wasnt really breaking the fourth wall. More like an arguement between omnipresent beings.))

((BTW, since I'm probably behind the events of the galaxy, 'm just gonna speed up time for Link so that I can get the Tourney started.))

"Good morning, Link." Came a cheery voice.

The Jedi was up with a start, springing from his mat with both bokken drawn.
Hi eyes darted around the room, waiting for something to pop up at him.
And then, Sia popped up right in his face.

"Boo!"

The Hologram noted Link's lack of facial expression and looked down, seeing that, had she been real, she would have been run through.
It all happened with the quickness that Link was capable of in normal gravity. Aside from the fact that shipboard it was cranked up.

"Well now, I see you've gotten use to the weight training." She said as she sidestepped the physical object. "Excellent. My plan is all coming together."
Still warry, Link slid back into a defensive stance and swept the room for more of the worker drones that infested the ship.

"Oh relax. Training's over. We're on Nar Shadaa. I contacted Nek, got you registered, and even managed to slice into the local Holonet so I can watch the festivities for free."
"How long have we been in the world?"
"About an hour." The avatar floated around Link, studying him and seemingly sizing him up. "I'll tell you this much, you certainly don't look like Cale's great-something grankid. You're musculature is far more impressive. If it werent for the fact that you're a Jedi, I'd declare you Grade A Outer Rim Beefcake."
"Um, thanks..."
"That high protein diet and all that weight training really did do a number on you." the avatar girl said. "I'm pretty sure you could take down a Gundark or three if you felt like it."
"High protein?"
"Yep. I sneaked additional nutrients into your rice rations. You can thank me later."

Link glared at the holo-girl in annoyance. "More and more this one is starting to feel like livestock."
"Prize winning livestock! Think positive! This is your County Fair, Blondie! And with my help, you're going to win the Blue Ribbon! Best in Show! Guarenteed!"
"This one was a slave once. Its not that much different fro livestock."
"Yeah yeah, sob story, boo-hoo. Listen, just go out there and kick a** in the name of the Force. I have full confidence in you."

Link sighed and nodded. As he reached for his tunic, Sia snapped her fingers.
"Oh sith, thats right! You gotta be dressed for the occasion! I almost forgot! Get in the bathroom, we got to apply your makeup!"
"My what?"

Sia shook her head sadly and then fixed Link with a stare. "You'e going in disquise, moron! If the Sith or hutts recognize you, then its all for naught! I already made your costume, we just need to fix your face!"
And with that, Link was ushered into the 'fresher and locked up in it.

The maniacal laughter of some evil mad genious echoed throughout the confines of the vessel.

"Name?" The Droid requested.

"Kyo, Ronin of the Bendu Order." The man stated calmly. "This one was assured that his registration was already dealt with."

The Droid looked up at the speaker and sized him up.
He was slight shorter than the standard human, with scruffy dark hair, blue eyes, and a noticble cross shaped scar upon his left cheek.
His garb consisted of a loose, wide-sleeved black tunic with white trim, underwhich he wore a light shirt. Upon the tunic's back was a styalized white sun design, a pattern that was present on the back of the man's protective black hand and forearm protectors.
His pants were a type of loose white trousers with black trim tied at the waist by a black cloth belt.
He wore a pair of plain black slippers that completed the outfit, and his only visible weapons were the pair of wooden swords jutting from his belt.

The droid looked back to its screen and buzzed through the databank of fighters.
"Ronin Kyo...here we are. And you plan on fighting with those..."

"Bokken. And yes. My order has taboos about spilling blood."

The droid rolled its photoreceptors and typed up a few things.

"Very well. Your registration is indeed logged in. You will fight your first preliminary bout in two hours at mat 46, A section."

The monk bowed and proceeded on his way onto the tournament grounds.

"Now what did I tell you? They bought it hook line and sinker." Sia's voice, emitting from a small comlink in his ear, spoke to him.

"Kyo" glanced about, replying in a low tone. "Was the scar necessary though? It would seem odd that a member of a nonviolent sect would have such a wound..."

"Listen, the most ruthless and mean fighters in huttspace are gonna be in this tourney. Even with your beefcake muscles you look like a pushover. The Scar makes you look tougher."

"And the Sun marks on my gauntlets and Yukata?"

"A Dark Sun doesnt show up very well on black. So I improvised."

"Why not the real Bendu symbol?"

"Because you're not Bendu. You're a Darksun. That and I might go into a clothing franchise if this pays off. Thats gonna be my swoosh."

"You're what?"

"Nevermind, Blondie." Sia said irritably. "Just focus on kicking butt. I got credits riding on this."

In a small rundown apartment in the largest city on Ord Mantel three men sat and waited. They were to meet one more person to discuss events that would shake up the Ord Mantel underworld. But that person had not arrived yet and the men were getting nervous. It had been almost an hour past the scheduled meeting time and there was still no word from the last conspirator.

Seated around a table in the center of the barren room the three men said nothing. There was no use in speaking until the last man arrived. Each person was left to the thoughts of what was to be the biggest night of their lives. Finally there came a knock on the door jarring the three men from their trances. One of the men, a large fellow with a half burned face got up to answer the door. Grumbling to himself he opens the door to reveal the final conspirator.

“About damn time, we were all getting worried that you had been caught,” the burned man scolded the new comer. “You know what Graka does to people who conspire against him, and it's only getting worse. There have been at least thirty people killed within the last month, every single one of these deaths had either cheated Graka in the past or was conspiring against him at the time of their deaths. We need to exercise caution here man. Taking down a criminal kingpin is a lot of work,” the burn man continued as he led the new conspirator to the table where the others were seated. Taking a position at the head of the table the burned man began to speak.

“Now let's get down to business, I have received some information that-” the burned man was cut short as a blaster bolt ripped through the back of his head. From out of the adjacent room behind the now dead leader of the conspirators stepped a man in silvery purple armor with a T-shaped visor. In his hands were two blasters that the men had never seen before. Before they had a chance to react three precise bolts were fired from the assassin killing the men before they were able to reach for their own blasters. Holstering his blasters the assassin leaves through the front door of the apartment.

Once on the outside of the building the assassin pushes a button on a detonator he takes from his belt. Behind him a blast rocks the building he just exited as the small apartment that held the conspirators goes up in a gout of flames. The man takes no notice of the destruction that he has just caused but instead keeps walking away.

“The job is done, Graka doesn't need to fear that group anymore,” the man speaks into the comlink located in his helmet.

“Good job Iust, but Graka has new work already for you. There is a man who goes by the name of Mons the Killer, he will be competing in a fighting tournament on Nar Shadaa. Graka wants you to enter the tournament and kill him. That is all.” Iust doubled his pace, he had work to do.
