Right. Very nice, Hikari. Inconspicuous. I couldn't tell at all that you were uncomfortable. Annie gave her...friend?...a meaningless, social smile, and shook purple strands of hair out of her face. Annie forced herself to remain calm. Calm, calm, calm. Deep breaths, in through the nose, hold...then out. She didn't want to kick Hikari out, not when there was still the question of where she got a baby. Annie thought that if Hikari was on the verge of having a child, surely she would have noticed. "She's a dear." Annie said through a rather painful looking smile.

"A doll." Hikari said with an affectionate smile before noticing the pained expression on the bakers face. She casted her doe brown eyes down to her new daughter and when she met the soft green irses of the young girl, she gave a firm nod. As if the two were sharing a thought, she lifted teh girl up and offered her to the baker to hold. Miaka letting out a soft noise reaching out towards Annie, her hands opening and closing as if asking for the woman to take her.
And then, she turned to the Actor who walked in. She recongized him almost instantly from when she was a younger girl and her and her family would go see plays. She bit back a call and only gave him a nod in his direction before asking "Im sure Annie could make almost anything. She's wonderful l-like that. D-do you want some-something?" She answered for the baker who seemed slightly distracted

What was that? Hikari called her wonderful? Oh dear. It was a sign of the end of the world. Annie was about to say as much before she realized that Hikari had been talking to someone else - and that someone else had asked her a question previously.
"Aah! What? What happened?" Annie shot up out of her seat, looking around with a slightly wild look in her eyes. Her gaze settled on Feyd, who she scrutinized with a single brown eye, keeping her other locked on the suspicious child. "We only have loaves available now, sir. But if you'd like to order something special, I can always switch around the baking schedule." For a price. She gave him a charming smile right back. But he doesn't have to know that. "Won't you sit?" She gave Hikari a piercing look, hoping to startle a confession out of her - then stood up with a sigh and ambled towards the counter. Bread needed to be baked, after all.

The actor grinned at the girl, "I'm sure she is." She had quiet a stutter that one, nothing a few good speech lessons couldn't fix though. The child really caught his eye though, he'd seen his share ofcostume jewelry in his line of work but the babe's heavy gold bracelets look authentic.
Turning back to the baker Feyd shook his head. "No, a loaf will be fine." He mentally sighed, he hadn't really expected any pastries... but he had hoped... No matter. Still smiling he shook his dark head and drew out his purse."How much will it be?"

Hikari flushed and pulled Miaka back into her arms, seeing as how Annie ignored her offer to let her hold her...well...other half?
She sighed as the girl happily sat on her knee and flailed her arms back and forth, causing the gold bracelets to clatter noisly against one another as she cooed happily before pointing to the actor "Ha!" she exclaimed happily pointing a finger at him. "Ha! Ha! Ha!"
Hikari's first reaction was to tell the child not to laugh at the man, but then remembered she was just making noise and not really laughing at him. She hoped.
"N-Now now Miaka..." She tried to hush the child, who seemed to ignore the older girl and went on making the laughing like noises.

Chiaku Looking away from her companion in guilt, Adalei tried smiling as she turned her attention back to Eli. "Beg your pardon, sir, I don't believe we caught your name? ...Ah, and...I do apologize. I suppose we should have introduced ourselves first." Bowing her head politely, she said in a formal tone, "My name is Adalei. Family name's been lost for years, but it doesn't matter so much these days. And my companion's name is Elliot." His free fingers absently fiddling with a stray thread on his shirt, Eli lightly nodded his head at the mention of a missed introduction. Everyone always forgot names, unless the meeting was on purpose. But most meetings are on accident nowadays, and so first you have to give excuses, make a little small talk. Eventually someone's thoughts cross to names and then the little tidbits of sound are exchanged. Why names were so important seemed to escape Eli, because those accidental meetings are rarely repeated with the same person. Guess it's just a habit of society... some last-ditch effort to hold onto manners.
He put forth his best effort of friendlyness, "Well I'm Eli. Nice to meet you two." A little bit of a smile was painted onto his face, and he shifted his feet.So what's all this chitchat for? We're supposed to BE somewhere! Mutt's prancing about Eli's feet seemed to voice his thoughts as the dog continued to circle the human. He bumped into the youth's knees, almost knocking him over. Come on! Let's go now!Eli managed to chuckle a bit, though nervously as Mutt continued to bother him. "I don't want to seem rude, but I think we should be going now," A jerk of his arms, a grimace, and he managed to stay upright. "I really am sorry for any inconvenience the dog might have caused. He is a bother at times." Like RIGHT NOW.

Raynai Eli managed to chuckle a bit, though nervously as Mutt continued to bother him. "I don't want to seem rude, but I think we should be going now," A jerk of his arms, a grimace, and he managed to stay upright. "I really am sorry for any inconvenience the dog might have caused. He is a bother at times." Like RIGHT NOW. As Adalei began to question the cause for the man's leaving, Elliot interjected quite abruptly: "Yes, we must be on our way as well." Squeezing Adalei's hand firmly, he turned towards the other direction, as if to signal that he had had quite enough of this.
"Ah, it's always a shame to party company," Adalei commented, even as Elliot was dragging her away. "Perhaps our paths shall cross again in the future. Take care of yourself!"
After they had rounded a corner, Elliot lifted his eyes to show Adalei the fear that had pained him during the encounter. "Adalei, I know you were fond of them as a child. But no matter how tame they appear, they're still beasts."
Distrubed by her companion's reaction to the dog, Adalei fell silent, feeling terribly guilty for making Elliot submit to the circumstances. She wanted to cheer him up, and remembering how fond he had been of meeting the actor from yesterday, she declared, "Ah, Elliot! Then shall we go on an adventure to see the theatre? Let us go to see our actor friend once more."

Eli managed to blurt as the two rounded the corner. It seemed her companion was as eager to leave as Mutt was. Looking down to the upset pup, he made faces at him. "Yeah, let's go then," he grumbled, Mutt immediately taking off to the east. Eli trailed behind the loping dog, as the two headed to the Boneyard.

Feyd blinked at the laughter-- it was laughter wasn't it?
She was strange child to be sure, though he had little contact with children Feyd was quite positive that pink was not a natural color for hair. What's more was that few could dress themselves half as well as the child was dressed.
Edging closer Feyd peered at the babe, faint albeit slightly awkward smile on his face. "Something... amusing?"

Miaka let out a pleased high pitched giggle at the actor's comment. Her tiny hands thrusted out and grabbed some of his interesting clothes within her tiny fists. "Ahboo!" She exclaimed happily, one of her hands patting him, the other still clinging to him.
Hikari looked from the actor to her daughter helplessly lost and could only flush at her daughters reaction, not even thinking to take the man out of the childs grasp.

Feyd stiffened, staring down at the child in something akin to disbelief. In his defence he had very ltitle contact with children being practically raised in the theater-- the youngest apprentice ever.
He recovered quickly enough though, smiling his default smile as he attempted to gently pry his clothes from her grasp. Err, "Ahboo... right." Eheh...

Oh! What was that?! Did he just agree with her?! Oh yes. Definatly a new friend! "Ahboo! Ahboo! Ha! Ha!" She squeeled out happily her grasp on his clothes only tightening on his clothes when he tried to pry her away. Yes, yes. A new friend!
"Erk...Uh Mi-Miaka, l-let go of the nice a-actor..." Hikari stuttered out, now moving to pry the child loose as well.

Feyd was rather at a loss. What was one supposed to do with a child? He was rather pleased that the older girl seemed to recognize him but the happiness paled agaist the fact a small pink haired girl was clinging to him. And squeeling. The squeeling wasn't helping at all.
"Miaka," that was the girl's name wasn't it? "Miaka, you don't want that, really," Feyd fell back to the coxing tone he used many a time on stage, "It's a bad scarf, it was worn by an evil duke last play."
Not that the child could understand him...

The child's emerald eyes seemed to glitter at the sound of her new worlds name on the actors lips. At bad she loosened her grip, not sure what to do with the man talking to her like that. It was just enough for Hikari to snatch the girls hands back to her.
Miaka let out a frusterated noise from the back of her throat, angered that once again- Hikari was getting in the way of something she wanted. Really now! What was the harm and playing with Ahboo!?
But when she felt her "mother's" hand on her head, playing with her hair lightly, her anger disappeared and she let out a content sound. Then a rasbarry noise followed, causing the little girl to giggle happily. Pleased to find a new thing to do with her lips.
"A-ah. I-Im s-sorry ab-bout that." Hikari stuttered out, still playing with the girls hair who was busy blowing air out of her lips

Feyd was rather relieved then she finally let go. Giving Hikari a genuine smile he shook his head "It's alright, they're tough at that age," or so he heard. But just to make sure he moved back a step.
It was as he was straightening his clothes that he realized his card had been dislodged, now peeking out of his vest. He didn't why he kept it on him really, curiosity he supposed. With a frown the actor slipped the troublesome card back into his vest.
