Lutrin debated letting Aerona help her up. On one hand, she was angry with her. On the other, it felt a little silly to talk to her from the ground. So, still frowning, she took Aerona's hands and wobbled to her feet.
“I'm not gonna get culled,” she said once she was upright. Releasing Aerona's hands, she folded her arms over her chest. That was the first manner that needed to be addressed.
“I know how to handle highbloods.” One only needed to look at all the cool blooded friends she had as an example. Lutrin decided not to mention that to Aerona though. At least not now.
“I'm fine though. Are you?” Getting up on her tiptoes, she glared up at Aerona with a forced scowl. She started to wobble on the ice and grabbed hold of Aerona's elbows to steady herself. She stared harder.

Aerona was taken aback. Lutrin didn’t act this way… That she had known. She’d seen glimpses, but under the glitter and googly-eye coated friend she knew, this Lutrin was intense and keen. Aerona narrowed her eyes.
“Is that so?” Lutrin was challenging her. “How about we go to a Highblood Party? Huh? You can show me. We’ll have so much fun.”
She had the means to do it. Aerona was a hypocrite, but she was a spiteful hypocrite. She stepped forward and smiled at Lutrin, pointedly looking at her in the eyes. She had nothing to prove except for her own insecurities, but it didn’t matter. She didn’t care who she was – she’d commit to whatever she had to do to get on top and bring down her enemies. But Lutrin? Aerona felt like through all of their shenanigans she hardly knew her. Maybe if she backed down she was chickenshit. Maybe she had something else to hide. What else was she not telling her?

That settled it. Aerona didn't think she was capable. Had Lutrin not been so furious, she might have cried. Her lip even wobbled precariously, but she steeled herself. She had some righteous anger to deliver.
“That's very so!” Lutrin replied, scowling as hard as she could. She released her grip on Aerona's elbows and dropped back onto her heels. Her hands balled into fists.
“I will show you! ” she continued.
“And when I do, you're going to tell me why you're being so... so... MEAN!”It was the most terrible thing she had ever said. And she didn't even feel
sorry. With that, Lutrin turned and stomped away.
“Woop!” Not before slipping on the ice once and falling on her butt though.
