*Shortstraw thought about it as they walked, "well... since your asking me i will be honist. It's true you would be vary well known... andi could see it as a hobby. But... at the same time that means your gong to be tied up if you really get into the modling." he thought about it more, "i guess you can always give it a try, you are a butiful girl... i should know... but you have to promes... nothing... showy..." He blushed and looked away, "soon after people will be hanging up pictures of you and stuff... i don't think i could walk into a place and not get alittle angry seeing you as a wall calinder picture in your underware..."

Kiera couldn't help but laugh a little as she took his hand. "I wasn't planning on doing that kind of modelling anyway. I mean Asher was urging me towards that, but that's not for me." She thought about it for a moment. "Now that I think about it. Asher may just be a pervert." She giggled at the thought. "And besides, I don't think any modelling agency would have the guts to order around any specific times that I would have to come in for them. They'd know that as a princess I am a busy person." She kissed his cheek. "You know it's cute when you blush."

He blushed more, "well... i... um... yea..." He didn't know what say, "okay i guess... but i want a copy of the pictures too. Since they wont be taht kind of pictures... and stuff... oh but you have to have someone there with you." He replied protectivly, "i cant let you be alone anymore, if i cant be there someone else will have to. That the rule." He nodded being protective... then muttered to himself, 'it's almost as if you would be asking for a job... well i guess not.' he smiled to her, "and you have to be home before seven!" He laughed teasingly.

Kiera rolled her eyes as she smiled. "Yeah yeah. Seven? That's soooooo early." She then grinned to him and chewed her finger. "And you want copies of the pictures too, eh? I see how it is." She looked to him skeptically. "And I guess I can make Asher come with me. She was the one who came up with the idea so she should take responsibility. And Mai is always with me anyway. I don't see why I need so much protection, though. It's just around town."

Shortstraw got serious for a moment, "Keria with as much respect as i can give, i love you, but you've even be tooken away from me in our own home in the past. For now on i want eyes and ears on you at all times. Even if they cant stop whoever it is... i will know where you go and i will be able to save you before they can hurt you again. River is still out there, ploting. Same with that pervert man. Same with alot of them. I just wanna make sure your safe, becuse you seem to be everyones target." He stated the odvious then smiled, "though it means i'm closer to you too, and so is the others that go with you." The Inn was just ahead as he smiled at her, "i dont ever want to ever not know where you are again. I cant let that happen to me again. You understand right?"

Kiera looked to the floor and nodded, although smiled. "Yeah. I understand." She laughed lightly and looked to the inn. "It's weird. I used to be able to need to protect myself. And now I need someone with me at all times when things happen." She nodded again. "It's only recently that I started being such a target. No enemies used to approach me before." She sighed, almost sadly. "I'm sorry for causing you so much pain.. I'm sorry I never seem to be able to protect myself."
River, on top of one of the nearby buildings, couldn't help himself to a little laugh when he monitored the two. Then, when he was satisfied, he stood up and started hopping across the roofs of the buildings. Things were going just as planned.

*Shortstraw nodded* "Keria theres no reasionto be sorry, your a butiful princess, you just that important to try and steal away i guess if your a bad guy." He chukkled, "but in the begining i will go with you. Though i really do wanna finish our house too, so dont forget it." He smiled as they walked into the inn and up to there room. As they entered he spoke again, "i do plan on being with you for ever though keria, you do know that right? That ring on you finger, that was organaly going to be THAT ring. Then i found out i was too young at the time and just gave it to you as a gift." He chukkled.

Kiera actually blushed a little as she went and sat on the bed. "I was worried at first that I was going to outlive you. And then when I found out that we had the same estimated lifespans I just.." She smiled more. "And I plan on being with you forever as well, Shortstraw. So I guess that works out nicely." Mai went into his corner of the room and sat down complacently. Kiera looked down to the ring that Shortstraw gave her on her finger then twisted it slightly. "I never take it off..."

*Shortstraw sat down next to her and reached into a side pocket on his pants and pulled out the rose, "While you were gone... i asked veria to make me a single spechal pocket just. I have it with me where ever i go. he put it back and smiled, "at first i thought there was no point getting attached like that to you becuse i woudln't live that long. But when our lifespans were compaired, thats when i knew i would have a chance. I talked with Asher and... then i asked you out back then." He replied with a chukkled as he hugged her, "funny how origanally all i wanted was revenge on the scarfman, and instead if found the greatest love of my life." he stold a kiss, "though i have somthing i want to emitt."

Kiera nuzzled her head into his neck as she hugged him. Although honestly it was just a way to hide all her blushing. Those kinds of things really got to her. She wouldn't admit that aloud, though. "What's that?" She shut her eyes and soaked herself into the moment.

He took a breath, "well i'm not saying anything by this... nor am i really... getting anywhere into it or anything..." He smiled in a daze, "but when i was dieing... and i heard your vioce tell me that were were suppost to make a familiy... sure i knew what you ment but... i begain to wonder a few things at that moment. And even when at dinner, which is why i came out with what i did on accident... and like i said i'm just saying this... i wondered what it would be like. If we could really do it. MAKE a family, not just with veria and donte, and asher and mai and such but..." He closed his eyes, "for that moment back then i pictured it. Just us having a nice happy life, no more enemys. Just us and... our familiy..." He chukkled, "i just kinda felt i needed to get that out." He contined to hug her though.

Kiera nodded and nuzzled more into his neck. "I actually do think about it a lot, too. I can imagine that. It seems... perfect." She stopped for a moment. "I told Veira a while ago that I had no intentions on having children with you. And I guess one of the reasons for that is because I can't imagine myself being a very good mother in any circumstance. The same way I don't feel like I could be a good queen. Nor would I ever stop feeling guilty about bringing something into this unfair world. Otherwise I'd be all for it. I love the idea of having a proper family." She looked up to him slowly. "Is that what you want? Is that what you desire most in life?"

*Shortstraw smiled, "To be honist Keria. That answer is alittle complicated. First of all it's true this world is unfair, but if it ever came to be, your not alone. You have me it would be a team effort all the way. We would rase it together. Keep it safe. In i do wonder what it would be like... to have a familiy like that... with you." He smiled although alittle sadly, "but unfotionly i was just making a point becuse of what i said at the table, i felt i neeeded to come out with it. The truth is we ahve alot of enemys, and if we did ever have a kid they would use it aginst us, and thus it would be... alone. I don't wanna do that to anyone. Which is why i said one day, i mean we do have 5000 years to make anythign we want happen." He chukkled and kissed her, "but it isn't safe for one right now... and it's true i don't think i could be a good father all the way, i mean will be killing demons all my life. But we can make anything possable together." he chukkled, "then agian.." he lost some of his soft vioce and scratched his neck, "whenever that does happen i knwo veria will really take that personal and you two are starting to finally get along well for once." He chukkled ackwordly. "Sorry i couln't answer with a simple answer."

Kiera nodded and smiled to him. "It's all right. I know it's not the easiest thing to answer." Kiera then decided something for herself in that moment. And as she was happy with what she decided, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pulled him close to her. "It's true, we do have a lot of time and we're only in the start of our lives. And yet so much has happened already. And still in all the time we have left I plan on spending each and every day of it aiming to make you happy. I love you, Shortstraw. And I always will." Mai stared at them both with what could almost be taken as a smile. Well, as much as a dog could smile. But he loved to see how close the two were. And he knew that he could trust this guy to look after his master even when Mai could not.
