C.J. nodded. "Aww yeah. Took to Dundee like a duck to water. She's like family to us, but she was ADORABLE." he said as he came up and scratched behind Delores' ear. "Still is!"

Misty smiled at CJ and Delores. It was nice to find someone who loved animals too. John loved them, but that whole relationship was a daytime soap drama.
...as were all of her other relationships, but that was besides the point.

It was around that time that Delores wrapped her trunk around Misty's waist hand pulled her up on her back!

Misty let out a small sound of surprise as she was lifted off of the ground, then laughed as the trunk rolled her around over top of the elephant's back. She gently sat herself down on the big girls neck, just behind her head. She smiled down at CJ and rubbed the top of Delores's head. "I think she likes me." she said with a small grin.

C.J. laughed a little bit at the shock, but smiled when she took it in stride. "I think it's mutual, too!" he said, scratchin' his head and smiling. "Shoot, I cain't even get her to do that for US!" C.J. said. He was staying right on the ground . . . last time he tried to get up on Delores' back it was like riding a brama bull . . . and he had to keep his arm in a cast for three months. That was lucky!

C.J. smiled up at her. "We got a few more things to see here if you want. But gotta say, you're hangin' in well up there!" he said as he leaned on a freight car from another train that freshly arrived.

C.J. looked up and smiled. "Don't worry, I got this." he said and looked at Delores. "Okay, Dolo. Mind puttin' the nice lady back on the ground, mah li'l bambino?" he asked, whispering it in Delores' ear. The elephant knelt on her front knees, giving a little room.
C.J. held out his hand towards her. "I gotcha, babe." he said.

Misty smiled, then moved both of her legs over to the side. She carefully slid down off of the big girl, and into CJ's waiting arms.

C.J. smiled and caught her, helping her down to the ground. "Getcha a li'l something to tell Alex, huh?" he said and put his arm around her. The other arm petting Delores.
