  Lisa laughed and leaned forward. She rested her forehead against his cheek and batted her eyes to give him butterfly kisses all over. She stood up, falling back a step to give them some space. "It really isn't the right place, is it?" She asked and looked around. "Memorable, but not right." She laughed, but suddenly became serious. "Dan, what about your life?" She asked somewhat sadly. "If we will be living together some day then I wouldn't want to crush your dreams. Don't you have plans you would like to fulfill?" She asked calmly. "If we one day live in a world about us, then let it be about us, not just one of us, okay?" She said as she straightened the shoulder of his uniform.

"My life huh? Last I checked I got a really cool job selling prop swords to people at conventions and it includes traveling all over the place. I got to tell you a slacker like me couldn't ask for a better job then that." Dan said smiling warmly. "I never really had any plans in life to fulfill and even then God has helped me to where I am today because I do not have goals so I can support yours fully. Its just things are I guess."

Lisa sighed and smiled at Dan. "Are you sure that is what you want to do?" She asked. "What about talking to your mom? Have you run this decision past her?" Lisa pulled out her phone. "If you'd like to call her at any time and talk to her, I do have my phone." She offered, holding it up. "I'm sure she misses you anyway. But I would feel much better about my sister's offer if you talked to your mother about it. I'd hate for her to have bad feelings against me because she feels like I stole you away. Maybe she'll think that already, but I hope that we could overcome that."
Lisa shook her head slightly. "Would you really wait for me? Would you wait for four years for me to get my nursing license before we could really start our lives?" She asked. "Believe me Dan, I, right now, would be happy to have you as my husband. Four years is a long time." She said softly.

"It's funny you say that. I talked to my mom last night but I forgot about the differences in timezones. I didn't talk to her much because it was late for her but she knows I am doing alright at least." Dan said smiling back at Lisa as he put his hand over the phone and her hand. "After today's events I will call her back again and fill her on more details when I get back to my room. I don't even think she will be home at this point anyway."
"For now though you not only need to focus on your degree but I will be working as well. Getting married and starting a family will have to wait for another day." Dan said as his fingers gently traced Lisa's cheek line up to her lips as he gently touched them. "After all its not like you know I love you and whether it is a long time doesn't matter because true love is eternal my love."

"Does she know about us though?" Lisa asked, slightly nervous. "Does she know about the job you've said you'd take? It is a lot to talk about late at night." She said with a nod. She glanced at her phone with his hand over it. If they were really going to be together then she wanted it all to be perfect. She didn't want any harsh feelings. Lisa nodded. "Well then, what are we doing standing around, you want to have lots to tell her, don't you?" Lisa asked with a smile. "But one last thing before we do head downstairs, I appreciate your concern for my education. I will make you proud, dear." She paused, enjoying the sensation of his touch which filled her with goosebumps and shivers. "I hope that you love me." Lisa said and opened her eyes again. "I hope that you love me Dan, because, standing here before you I truly believe that I love you. I hope our love is eternal."

"Well...she does know about you. You see I talk with her about a lot of stuff and she knows you are a special friend of mine. I don't know exactly if she realizes how close we are but she is the type of person that knows i have to make my own decisions and learn from my own mistakes." Dan said after thinking for a moment. The thought of telling her about such a change suddenly hit him though. This was a little different because unlike the military that had rules and regulations his mother didn't know Lisa or her family save for what he told her.

Lisa looked up at Dan as he thought. She was somewhat concerned, but figured that he had everything under control. Lisa knew that she had to call her parents still and give them the news. She loved her parents dearly, but she knew that they would never understand. She prayed they could accept it, for she had already given her heart away. Maybe Jay could help her too. She had met Dan after all.
"Let's worry about that tonight." She said, now concerned about her own parents. "Let's have fun." Lisa said taking Dan's hand. "Would you like to go down to the autograph room now?" She inquired.

"Fun sounds like an excellent idea." Dan said letting his fingers slide from Lisa's face and back down her arm to her hand. His smile was still there unrelenting as he stayed positive that things would work out no matter how many random things could go wrong. "Off we go then into the abyss that is fandom below. An all so colorful abyss awaits us both."

Lisa looked up at Dan with her gentle wide eyes. A smile cracked across her face and she leaned in to give him one more hug before she took his hand in hers. "Okay then, hold your breath, and let's go!" She pulled Dan gently forward onto the escalator. She didn't seem to mind the crowds as much as Dan did, but that only made her worry for him more. Once on the escalator she looked back up at him and smiled cheerfully. "Here we go." She said happily. "It won't be far from here!" Lisa wondered also if she should tell Dan that the halls of the convention center would be like this for the next three days. Maybe he would get more use to it too, she thought hopefully.

"Uh... you might want to be careful on the escalator Lisa. That dress of yours is lovely but it doesn't hide as much from those bellow us." Dan said as they hopped onto the moving stairwell. He hid her on the way up but he was the wrong way on the way down. "I fear I can't protect your dignity from this side."

Lisa laughed softly. "Dan, you are such a sweet heart." Beneath the skirt she wore was a tight undergarment meant to define her shape. If that didn't do the trick she had nylon leggings, or tights that went all the way up like pants. In addition to this she has many layers of skrits taht helped her skirt to have the light and fluffy appearance. Other than that, it wasn't like she had her legs parted, they were together casually in order to keep people from looking up. She really didn't wish to cover all of these precautions with her current boyfriend, so instead she just said, "Don't worry Dan. I've got so many layers I am not afraid of exposing anything."

"Many layers? I'll have to take your word on that since I was doing my best to not look up your skirt while we were on the way up the escalator earlier." Dan said with little embarrassment as he realized he was having a conversation with his girlfriend about protective layers saving her from her own embarrassment. It almost seemed unfair to know Lisa had been faithfully but and he had been with one girl already while he was in high school. Nothing came out of it but with this talk his mind traveled to a place he wanted to save for marriage when it came up.
The two of them made it safely to the floor as many convention goers surrounded making their ways to the next destination they were aiming for. It was chaotic but it was also kinda interesting now that they were mixing in with the crowd and it made it hard for photo opportunities to arise. The constant reassurance of having Lisa's hand kept Dan focused as they made their way to their own destination that also had people coming in from.

Lisa nodded. "There are a lot of nice people at cons Dan, but there are also a lot of perverts." She said matter-of-factly. She looked up at him with her large eyes. "Thank you for not checking, and for looking out for me Dan, the thought is very kind." Lisa hoped Dan didn't feel too badly after what she had said, but she wanted him to have fun and feel safe here too.
"Is everything okay?" She asked as they finally blended in with the crowd. She made sure to keep close to him despite the oppressing crowds. It hardly took any time before they were free and heading past where Jay and Mindy had been and into the room next to where they saw the opening ceremony. "It's right in here." She said as a second thought as they moved forward into the room.

"Yeah I am doing well enough. After all I have you nearby so what can possibly go wrong?" Dan said to her as they weaved through the sea of people. He took notice they had already been through this area t least once and Lisa was now pulling him into a room that had tables and a line going up to one of them. Dan guessed that was the guy Lisa was talking about that did all the voices.

"That's him." Lisa said almost proudly as they stepped into the huge room. "And we're going to be waiting in that great long line there if you're still wanting to stand in it and wait for his autograph." She said. It was something she liked to do, she enjoyed having the autographs. It made her feel happy to have a signature of a favorite voice, sometimes they were voice actors that she swooned over. It then was very valuable to her.
"This is where you will make your best convention memories." Lisa said truthfully. "If you are into the autographs and stuff, you'll spend a lot of time in these lines. There are usually nice people too that are around here." She laughed. "So, would you still like to wait?"
