For a moment, it didn't seem to have helped... But then Isto coughed and rolled over onto his side, promptly vomiting up all the water that had chosen to invade his lungs. He groaned, breathing heavily, then wiped off his mouth, rolling back onto his back before slowly sitting up. He seemed disoriented by the fact that he was on land... glancing curiously around, finally allowing his gaze to settle on Mauli, grinning faintly when he realized she was..blushing. "You kiss me, then slap me. Make up your mind, pirate."

A relieved grin spread over her face, and she couldn't help but laugh. For a moment, she just stared, that goofy grin covering her face. Then, she realized she had been insulted, and replied with a curt "Shutup, metal boy." And, with that, she leaned over and kissed him again, effectively 'shutting him up'. For the time, she would be content just sitting there, pressing her lips to his and enjoying the comfort it brought, shoving away the questions that badgered her about the whole situation. He was so warm... So very warm...
