"Hey there sis." Gouki said quietly as she greeted him sleepily. "We are not leaving quite yet so if you want to you can get a little more sleep." Although he didn't want to admit it the feeling of Mara's arms around his neck were reassuring even if she couldn't help him if that man shown up again. He turned his head sideways and smiled warmly at her.

Ain perched himself on a nearby building. If he could wait until the little ones were not with the man, then he could strike. He was breathing a bit deeply, his eyes almost completely black. Soon the master would simply take over, and then the woman would be fair game. He shuddered at the thought of what happened last time.

A smile, bigger than the first, spread over the sleepy girl's face as she looked over at Gouki with half closed eyes. "I'm fine." She said, trying unsuccessfully to hide a big yawn. She pulled herself a little closer to him so that her cheek lay pushed against his. "I'm not tired anymore." She said with another forced yawn, and a couple blinks of her eyes. Her ear twitched, flicking some of the hair on his head.

Gouki smiled and gently ruffled the hair on her head. "Not tired huh? You still look pretty tired to me. Are you sure you don't want to nap a little longer? I'll sit with you if you lay back in bed okay?" His words were still quiet so as to not wake Mara's sister but they were gentle and caring as well. All this action must have really drained his poor sister.

Mara pushed herself up tiredly and with another yawn. She moved back to the top of the bed and sat there waiting for Gouki. She balled up her fists and dug them into her eyes where she rubbed them and yawned again. She blinked a couple times and looked over at Gouki. "Are you going to come and sit with me?" She asked and tilted her head to the side, which made her tired and floppy ears all fall to one side.

Gouki nodded and jumped silently to his feet. He moved to eh bed and sat down next to the sleepy Mara as he put his hand on top of her head and gently brushed her hair with his fingers. "Just a little more rest then. I will wake you when it is time to go." Gouki said gently to her. In a way he was glad she could rest in a comfy bed for once since they travel a lot and live off the land mostly.

Mara smiled and looked up at him with her tired, half closed eyes. "Thank you Gouki." She said and leaned against him. She pounded her fist once more into her eyes and yawned. "I won't sleep, I'll just rest." She said despite the fact her consciousness was beginning to fade.

Kyoji put a hand on her shoulder for a brief moment and smiled. "We should be done with this soon. After that we'll get to the others and get back to the road. Hopefully, that guy will have gone off... but I doubt that. When he does appear, we'll have to take him down quickly." He said, more to himself, but still spoke aloud. "We shouldn't be stuck here too long."

Cho felt warm in the face and looked over at Kyoji. Nodding in agreement she smiled happily. "We'll be on the road before we know it." She said in an agreeing tone. "I hope we won't run into him again." She whispered as if the stranger were lurking around the corner. "Come one, let's hurry." She said and hurried the last few steps to the door.

Gouki watched as Mara slowly return to a state of rest. His ears pricked at anything that might sound out of the ordinary as he wondered how long it has been since Cho and Kyoji had left. He assured himself it couldn't have been that long as he continued to stroke his sister's hair. He had a bad feeling in his stomach as though there was some kind of trouble. However just because he felt that way didn't mean trouble was really about there but he has learned to listen to his instincts even if trouble is not there to ensure the two of them have always been safe.

Young ears began to twitch when something pesky, like maybe a fly, began to disturb their peaceful rest. It was Ayaka's turn to wake, groggy and confused. It wasn't that she was waking up in a new place, it was that she was waking up in a new place, and her mother wasn't there when she woke up. At first she thought to be alone, and she became overwhelmed in a fit of sniffles and sobs as she lay very still on her pillow. Soon it changed and she began calling for her mother, but Cho wasn't there to answer.

Gouki sighed as he slowly got up to check on Ayaka. He didn't expect to babysit the both of them. The plan was they get supplies while the girls rested peacefully but luck was not with Gouki today as he got to Ayaka.
"Hey kiddo...Your mother will be back really soon so don't worry okay?" Gouki said as he repeated the same he did with Mara stroking Ayaka's hair. Unlike Mara he wasn't sure what helped comfort Ayaka and hoped he could calm her down before Mara woke again.

Ayaka looked around at Gouki alarmed at first, but then she somewhat relaxed as his fingers ran soothingly through her hair. She relaxed back into her bed, still sniffling slightly, but more at ease. She would not be falling asleep again though. She looked back up at Gouki and asked him, "Where did she go? When did she leave? When will she come back?" Her red eyes began to get watery again as she looked up at him. She waited for his questions, very nearly retaining her tears.

"I do too," Kyoji said softly, as he followed after her quickly out of the inn. Upon stepping outside, his eyes immediately began to search for the vendors that had started manning their stands, and he briskly made his way to the stand that was closest, while keeping close to Cho so she could follow. The stand had a great deal of items on display, both in front of the stand and littered around, and he began to pick through the items looking for a fishing pole that would suit their needs. "You didn't need to come with me, now that I think about it." He said to her as he browsed. "But appreciate you being with me."

Cho followed Kyoji's quick steps as he glided towards the nearest stand of nick knacks. As he began to inspect their wares she spotted a place not far off that looked to be a decently good food stand. She looked back to Kyoji. "Well, if you like I could to look at the produce. I think it would be beneficial to stock up on some fruits and vegetables before our trip, wouldn't you say?" She asked softly. She wanted to be useful on their little shopping trip.
