Maybe they met her at a point in her life when she was already cruel and generally evil-ish, and pulled the "If you do our bidding, you'll get this and this and even this" shtick.

Or she could just be corrupted by her own means...er, her own experiences in life and whatnot, I mean.

I had that exact thought just now. Writing a backstory as we speak. Let's pray my ADD doesn't kill it. XD

Now, Banshee, you know as soon as you see a shiny object, you're gonna get distracted for five hours. XD

That actually sounds great! Aislin the Venomess. I like it. XD

What I decided to do with her past:

She was on vacation with her parents around the Lost Woods area, and they were attacked by a horde of monsters (I figured Wolfos and Stalfos... I know it's not THAT important which kinds of monsters, but, well, I just can't stop myself XD) and a couple of exiled Knights of Hyrule (I'm doing my best to stop myself from making complicated back-stories for them O_o), almost pretty much at the same time. The monsters killed her parents, but she managed to take the ex-Knights' weapons and slay the monsters. The ex-Knights realized, oh s**t, we shouldn't have pissed this girl off! And run away into the woods, most likely to eventually become Stalfos, cause well, you know the drill.

Now keep in mind that Aislin's about thirteen at this point. Old enough to kill something, apparently, but not old enough to live on her own. So she wandered through the forest, making it out of the Lost Woods but still being lost in a sea of trees. She had to take care of herself from that point on, so she survived any way she could. She used the weapons (ball-and-chain and dagger) to kill whatever animals she was lucky enough to find for dinner, and when her clothes became run down and useless, she started to use the dagger to make new ones from the skins of her prey. Of course, she was horrible at it at first, with no experience, but after the first few times, she would start to get the hang of it. So she had her hunting prey for food as well as clothing, and she had streams and tiny gullies for water, and she had the thick forest full of trees, leaves, and moss to lie her. But she had nothing but her own gloomy and destructive thoughts to keep her company. Eventually, she became so full of hate and rage that it became all she was, even after the details of the event of those years ago started to blur in her mind. Twenty years had passed, and that was when she met... DUN DUN DUUNNNN!

Yes, and I apologize for that, although I've finally gotten around to making my next post. :3

If you want to make another character, I'd say go for it, although we wouldn't want you to be weighed down by too many. But then again, that's coming from someone who finds it strenuous to play just two characters at the same time. sweatdrop

And yes, it can be hard to take a tremendous step outside of ourselves, so to speak, but it's something we all come to do at some point. It's one of the biggest challenges, if not THE biggest, that writers must face. I look forward to reading more of this intricate story of yours. biggrin
