...You have in-jokes about alliteration in ablative absolutes and 'c**' clauses, future perfect subjunctives and 'pebbling' when voting (to name a few)
...Despite being nowhere near fluent in the language, you have successfully maintained a conversation in another language to last a whole bus trip, even if it meant you were limited to pointing out walls, flowers and trees
...You have sung a song in the language you were learning repeatedly so that you've been threatened to be chucked off a mountain because of it

... you try to invent new tenses for use by time-travellers (for example, a tense for events that had happened but, due to somebody's intervention, haven't happened anymore)

I've always said that the hardest part of time travel is the grammar. (Well, that and getting enough batteries. You can't exactly plug a time machine into a mains socket, can you?)
Actually, I think there was something in one of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books that was like this...

something that hasn't happened, but when you've gone back in time and done something to allow it, will have happened but will have caused you to have been unable to allow it to happen, so it can't have happened anymore, so you can have made it happen, so it did, so you didn't, so it didn't, so you did, etc.
...be called? The best I can come up with is "Contradictional Perfect".

~ You can fake a conversation with your younger brother just by saying the same word over again, but in different language. And he will never know the difference.
~ You sometimes forget that others cannot read the language and expect them to be able to read what you wrote.
~ You spend hours practicing the lang. a day
~ You hand writing in the language is better than you hand writing in English

It's about twenty times better than my normal handwriting (which I'm told looks foreign). I now have a modified version of it that I use to write English with (I actually added a letter, but nobody knows ninja ). BEHOLD: What it would look like if I wrote the previous paragraph out in Cyrillic. "Ёу схоулд сее мы Чыриллич хандшритинг. Итьс абоут тшенты тимес беттер тхан мы нормал хандшритинг ( шхичх Иьм толд лоокс фореигн ). И нош хаве а модифиед версион оф ит тхат И усе то шрите Енглисх шитн (И ачтуаллы аддед а леттер, бут нободы кношс ninja )." Yeah, it's highly inaccurate. sweatdrop However, it's better than the pseudomixture of Roman and Cyrillic that I had been using.

Demon_darkness1 ...Know you're obessed if people give you blank stares when you talk to them, because you did't realize that you were speaking a Foreign Language. I've done that. As well as.. ..people look at you funny because half of what you said was English, half was the other language, half were words in one language with the other accent. You have no idea how weird social studies teachers can look XP
