Hindi 7. Japanese (mayb...) 8. Swahili 9. Romanian 10. Portugese 11. Farsi 12. French and mayb Hebrew My list is similar. But not. I won't include Spanish or Russian either. 1. Arabic 2. German 3. Italian 4. Esperanto 5. Indonesian 6. Portugese 7. Chinese 8. Japanese 9. Hawai'ian 10. Latin. Really, Latin's probably ahead of Indonesian... It's just that I've already written all of this and I don't wanna have to change it. 12. Hindi. Same deal here. This should go ahead of Latin.

Double post to bump dying thread.
"Goodbye Perry the Platypus! Or as they say in China, 'Arriiiiiiivaderci!'" -Dr. Doofenschmirtz
Io imparavo (?) l'italiano... cuando avevo dodici anni... e allora no lo so... burning_eyes
Yes, I realize that probably sucks... I used the grammar section in the back of my dictionary for it. xD
Ho una domanda. Quando si usa la parola "scorso/a"?
And, I don't know if this is out of date or not, but in a text book I have, it says "due week-end" and I just thought that sounded so weird.

I will be starting Italian language class soon.
Is there anything I should now?
I looked at my textbook and I am confused at pronouncing the double " L " or ll. Is it the same or similar as in Spanish?
Also the gn sound like bologna, Espagna. Does it make the nasal palatal sound like the Spanish " ñ " ?
PS: What is tutti? like in Ciao a tutti.
I cant wait to start! I started teaching myself a little
Mi chiamo Shokai. Lei come sta?
Arrividecci!
Sorry for the mispelling sweatdrop

I'm pretty sure the ll is simply a double l and not like in Spanish. Tutti means everyone, and you're right about the gn making an ñ sound.

Doppelgaanger I'm pretty sure the ll is simply a double l and not like in Spanish. Tutti means everyone, and you're right about the gn making an mñ sound. I already mentioned that it meant "Hey Everyone" Gn=ñ which you were right on. Ll sound in Castillian spanish is Gl in Italian. For example: Famiglia (family)

Koko.Dk Ll sound in Castillian spanish is Gl in Italian. For example: Famiglia (family) Okay, I am sort of confused. In Spanish, the Ll sound makes an equivalent sound almost to the English " Y " So is Famiglia pronounced like fami-yi-ah? So to the ears of a Spanish speaker, it sounds like Famillia?

I thought Castillian Spanish had the same pronunciation rules for Latin American Spanish, but they have a weird sounding accent with their tongue, like they stick that 'th' sound in there XD
