Lucca Ashtear Stop making me feel inadequate, Kiddo! xd Dooood, Lucca, you have no idea how long I've been writing and how many short stories/novels I've scrapped or redone. I've got tons upon tons of practice here. I've got stories that I can no longer read because the file format is incompatable with Windows due to the story being written on a DOS based operating system. And yet I'm still unpublished cause I'm a lazyass coward. Go figure. Anyways, didn't get it done last night (stayed up til four am trying) but I am very, very close. I'm debating on getting it done today or getting my research paper done and then finishing up the story.

Now you're making me feel MORE inadequate, because I've always tried to write and never finished anything.

Lucca Ashtear Now you're making me feel MORE inadequate, because I've always tried to write and never finished anything. Finishing stuff is actually pretty hard... there's a number of really big projects I've never finished. I think it's actually hardest to finish something up because part of you really doesn't want it to end. Like, I just finished up the last chapter today... and I'm completely numb right now. It's rough. You don't want to see something you've put so much time and effort into end. In fact, I've only finished a small portion of the things I've started. Most get dropped on the wayside. But if you want to see it you can download it now. The first is a document of ALL the chapters and the second is a zip file of the chapters broken apart. I really recommend the second one. http://kiddo.langleyark.com/total.dochttp://kiddo.langleyark.com/chapters.zip

ZOMG, Mercy, that scannerprinter is JUST LIKE MINE!
Anyway, I just got back from health services, my appointment to see what the hell is wrong with my left knee that's been sore for two weeks now. The doctor takes one look at it, decides it's swollen, notices that it's unusually warm to the touch, and tells me I have "acute arthritis of the knee" and that he doesn't know what's causing it but it might somehow be lyme disease... well, that's why they shoved a HUGEASS NEEDLE under my kneecap to get a fluid sample. They'll tell me what's wrong tomorrow. I sure hope I don't have lyme. I wonder how I would have gotten it...

They'll tell me what's wrong tomorrow. I sure hope I don't have lyme. I wonder how I would have gotten it... Lyme can be dormant in your body for up to five years and is transmitted by deer ticks, which are iiiiitty bitty and are in wooded areas, most heavily found in the New England area. *knows all this because she used to live in New England and her mother treated for lyme all the freaking time at the doctor's office she worked at* In fact, when I started having seizures lyme was one of the things we were concerned about. Never got tested for it though cause I didn't have the fever or the rash. Lucca, if you do have lyme, don't worry - it's pretty minor. They give you some pills for it and it goes away. I'll be hoping for ya though that it's not a problem and it can be cured easily! heart

Didn't know about it lying dormant for so long... I did know that it's easy to cure, though.
Damn, my knee hurts.

Yeah, it's a nasty little illness in that regards. Thank goodness it's so easy to treat.
And in other news I have a ten page research paper I CANNOT bring myself to focus on. I've got five pages so far and I have no clue what to babble about next. *hates on life*

eek LUCCA'S A DISEASED REINDEER!
And just in time for the holidays, good job. heart
Meanwhile...Mercy likes to print out her rough drafts, thinking they are the finished paper and tends to not realize it until she finds herself in front of her chuckling professor.
My back is sore from sewing, but I'm always up for an edit. whee
