Eyes narrowing at the Fae, Rave looked at Gambler, "This meeting has gone on over the time I'd prefer... I need to check on Eldin and the others, if you don't mind." With the consent of Gambler, rave went to the space outside of the door, opening his phone and calling Kalore. When his friend picked up, he spoke in their language, "Eri, now."

When he was like this, Kalore knew not to ask any questions. His tone and posture told Eri to do the same. "Sir Rave, what's going on?" Telling the man everything that he knew, the dark haired elf wasn't surprised to not hear anything on the other end. Finally, Eri spoke. "The Unseelie... I'd give them the city, keep them there, and annihilate them once they get comfortable. You said there's no important people, just those insurance things?" "So it seems." He could imagine the nod from the long haired elf, "I see... Let me talk to Miss Gambler once this meeting it over with. With who she is... I'd protect her, Sir Rave."

Rave nodded, flipped his phone shut, and went back inside before anything could happen, giving Gambler his neutral look. "He's doing fine. A little worried, but fine nonetheless." He then glanced at Cyen, his eyes calm, "You were saying?"

Gambler nodded to Rave's request but she had this grin on her face as she studied the Fae closely. "I guess it's safe to say that the cat is out of the bag eh?" She asked the two Fae who looked at her with disgust. If only they knew that Baney baby wasn't a prince charming after all from ten years past. No, he was a snob, insolent, disrespectful and didn't know when to take a damn hint that she wasn't interested in what he was offering her. Stubborn men like that just never learn.

The boss of Area 6 looked at the Fae with a bone chilling grin. She could tell but their eyes and tone and posture that she wasn't the most liked person but really? Could you blame her? At least poison like Bane was out of the good side of the Fae's to make room for someone worthy of leading them the right way.

"Oh? You wish to forge an alliance you say? Hmmm, where have I heard that before?" She looked thoughtful and shot Aria a sympathic gaze. "I apologize to you Aria. Looks like no one loves me. It's okay really. I'm used to this but then I'm also used to that kind of tone biting someone in their a**." She said in a mock tone of sadness. "An alliance? What would this alliance intail? Please, don't offer anything with the word marriage or you will get what Baney baby deserved." She warned. This woman may not look it but she was highly dangerous when mad. Piss her off and she would just lose it. Get her angry? That's as far as any warning goes.

As Rave returned her attention went to him with sincere concern. "I'm glad to here that Eldin is doing good. I miss him. I should get in a fight so he could visit and heal me." She said joking because she knew that Eldin wouldn't heal her but murder her. Then Gambler looked at Cyen. "Yes, you must tell Rave what you said. All of it." She said, dumbing her fingers softly on the table.

Alouthiani stood suddenly from her chair, knocking it back. "You know what? ******** this! ******** this and ******** you! No one's said a thing wrong to you since we swore to keep our minds about us if you did the same. But you couldn't keep your mouth shut!"

"Alou-" Aria began to interject.

"And as for you? Aria? Kiss your dreams goodbye. Kiss your seat in the Court goodbye, kiss any hope of redeeming your family name goodbye, and kiss your lover goodbye. We're handing this place over. This b***h deserves to become the Dark Masters personal handmaiden!" She snarled in their grizzly tongue and stormed out of the room. Aria watched her leave and with it any hope of peace at all. Cyen stood staring Gambler down coldly.

"I'll speak with Xander Kahn immediately, and I think he will agree. I think all of the Seelie Fae would agree, regardless of Bane's betrayel we don't associate with those who spit on the Court. And if anything, my sweet little song, you've shamed your clan more than graced it." Cyen whispered, his voice a soothing ballad.

Muscles worked in Aria's jaw and she felt deflated. Cyen turned to Rave. "We were saying that perhaps the Seelie Court is better off abandoning this false hope of a project." He turned sadened eyes on Aria who refused to return his gaze. "This place signed their lives over the second they let this woman as their leader. I know Xander is your friend, but he is Prince first. He can't afford to play favorites, I believe it's time you go back home, to truly remind you where your loyalties lie." He hissed and followed Alouthiani out of the room leaving Aria still slumped in her chair facing Gambler and Rave.

Rave sighed, standing up as he returned the chairs to their rightful place, muttering, "Some people don't know how to act in a church..." He glanced over at Aria, sitting by her as his cold gaze was gone, replaced with a warm, reassuring one that showed that he knew more than he was letting on.

"Miss Aria... We can't do anything about your place on the Court, at least, I don't believe we can." He glanced over at Gambler, but soon continued, "But there is a chance to save the city. If you'll work with us, then the Unseelie will be forced to turn their backs on this place. I'll need you to at least partially trust us." She was given a rare smile, one that melted any ice from the situation. Rave's hand was in his pocket, fingering his phone as his mind went into overdrive.

It wouldn't be impossible. Eri knew the Unseelie, being an elf of a darker form of magic that liked to make odd allies. No one was an ally of the Unseelie, but Bane would know of the elf if he was of any importance to his new group of Fae. As much as Monty disliked Eri, maybe it was time to show of the man's importance. Kyin would be of use as well, but Rave was hesitant on using the old sage. He had the power to bind anything, as shown before when he bound Kyoshi and Monty, but Kyin also sometimes came at a price if he had to deal with things that he didn't want to mess with. Kalore, Dusk, Talon, and their group would know what to do in this situation; it was what they did.

He sighed and glanced over at Gambler, trying hard not to go into his normal instincts of being the Master of the Elven Guards, but he was behaving. Barely. Just because I'm not in charge doesn't mean I can't plan things in my mind... "Gambler... What do you say? I dislike the situation... But Miss Aria's done nothing wrong, correct?" He raised a brow. There was no point in letting her love die, even if she couldn't get a place on the Seelie Court.

((I hope this was ok >___>))

Not once did Gamblers grin falter for what Alouthiani and Cyen said. Of course, what they didn't know was that while she had stayed in the Fae realm, she learned quickly how to speak their tongue only because if she didn't trust people in general she wanted to know what exactly they were saying. Not once did Gambler shoot back some harsh words because it would have been wasted on narrowed minded scum.

Drumming her fingers softly, they came to a stop once they left and frowned slightly. "Aria. You have done nothing wrong. Perhaps it was a mistake to have done the things all those years ago because it came to bite me in the a** but I don't regret putting the wrong people in there rightful place. I have my reasons that not everyone knows about. That is a story that can be shared another time if you wish." The seraph female turned to look at the Fae with slightly sad eyes but she hid them quickly.

"You have a choice in this Aria. You also have any numerous ways on restoring you and your family. If not, then at least don't give up on Logan. Make your choice Aria, make a choice that you will be happy with, not those who will gain while you don't." She went into her shirt and took out a something that was wrapped in soft cloth that she took off to reveal the flower that the Fae gave her at the park. "Here." She placed if before the Fae. "I have done nothing to earn this great honor and respect, especially now. So, perhaps one day I will ask you for forgiveness for disappointing you." She smiled at Aria.

Standing up she walked to Aria and gave her a tight almost sisterly hug and walked to the door. "I need a few moments Rave. I'll be back so we can talk more." Without waiting for a reply from anyone she walked out to the farther side of the church into another room.

Aria was shell shocked. She was a Van Alen for goodness sake. There was a time when her family had great influence, if her father had seen how far his name had dropped... Oh Great Mother!

And the idea of doing this in any other way... how could she end the war without the backing of her people? She loved Logan, but she was a Fae for goodness sake! They were who she was, where she came from. She listened numbly to Rave's words of kindness, knowing how much it cost him. And stared blindly as Gambler gave her the flower back.

So many emotions wracked through her body, and then she was empty. Receiving the hug from Gambler. Such kindness, and she was a failure. She was a disgrace to her family name, to her people, to her Court, to her Great Mother. If she couldn't bring peace to a struggling people then what was she? She was a sham. The only thing left to live for now was to make sure Logan didn't die, the chances of her persuading Alouthiani and Cyen now? Slim. The outlook of her not being exiled from the Court? Very grim.

Gambler got out of the room she was in, the room she almost broke and walked down the isles to stare at the great figure of the cross. "You know, just for them so much as yelling in the church, I will reprimand them." She whispered to the cross and to the heavenly father above.

Sighing, she got back into the room with Rave and Aria. "Again, I'm sorry you had to go through this Aria." She bowed and looked at Rave. "I was noticing the wheels turning in your head Rave. You got some plans and I'm curious to hear them. No doubt they are going to be kicking a** right?"

Rave nodded, "Eri has knowledge with the Unseelie. As does Lord Kyin, but I would rather not get him involved." Lord Kyin, the oldest elf in history, and such a wise man that even most Fae knew him and respected him. "Also, Kalore, Talon, and his group have similar traits to Dusk when facing the Fae. I don't know why, but it's got to do with their mixed blood. I called Eri and he wants to talk to you and Miss Aria about possible ideas. He's more for giving the city over for a small amount of time, and then doing a genocide, but I don't know enough about the Unseelie to know how they work to allow that. He claims it would work as long as you got anyone that mattered out of the area..."

Aria looked up and listened without really processing what was being said. She heard her name... she heard 'Fae'. Nothing more. Two things she wanted most in this moment was to go and be with Hoa-Ki, have the Great Mother tell her what to do, perhaps share words of wisdom with her. Then to be with Logan, to hold him and tell him that she was taking care of everything.

But that wasn't true. And saying that would be a lie. And lying isn't what she did... was it? She just didn't know anymore. "Handing the city over the Unseelie Fae would only allow their Dark Master easier access to reign over the land. At that point I would have to be Unseelie to step foot on such evil ground. I don't want it to get to that point..." she whispered, her voice a faint ghost of what it used to be. She felt hopeless, but some distant part of her mind knew that she couldn't give up. She didn't come all this way to be thwarted. She would save Logan and she would restore honor to her families name.

Or she'd die trying.

Gambler snapped her eyes to Aria. She growled and grabbed her by the arms, shaking her. "Snap out of it." She whispered, only her gaze was icy. "This pity isn't going to get you what you want. Sometimes Aria, you have to do things unconventional to get good results. I have to do things that I should in order to get good results. I don't like it sometimes but it's my job. Your job it do what you want to do and what you need to do in any damn way you can get it." Her whisper was soft as her eyes were a blaze.

"I know your confused, second guessing yourself and maybe even doubting yourself but in this city, you can't do that because it's the surest way of getting killed without knowing." She let go of Aria, seating her back down gently on the chair. "I like the idea Rave has told me but knowing the enemy is what I need so that if they are stupid, then we can blow them to hell. As for the Dark Master? Perhaps some research on that figure is a good idea but right now, it's baby steps before we can run straight ahead." Her tone volume was going to normal.

The seraph didn't like how Alouthiani was loud at her outburst moments before. No one spoke above a whisper in the church. It was rude to the heavenly father who happened to be upset and gathering dark clouds that were heavy with rain, thunder and lightening. Sighing, Gambler looked at Rave. "I'll speak to Eri at a place where it's not holy. If anyone wants to yell here tell me so I can keep your tongue as a souvenior."

Then she looked at Aria. "You are in no danger from me or anyone in my city, Aria. It's up to you if you wish to stay or go but one way or another, the Unseelie will be sent to hell with their Dark Master in a hand basket." Blinking she glowered a bit. "Also, if you choose to go back, tell your female friend that the chances of me being someone's damn handmaiden is slim to nothing. I rather be dead than be like her, the one that opens her legs." Don't say the author never warned you about this one's tongue. It was sharp and deadly and her being disrespected in the house of God was a bad idea.

Aria winced as Gambler grabbed her and shook her. "I thought you knew me much better to know I wouldn't leave. I have to return home and get a few things. But I will redeem my families name and I will earn a spot on the Court and I will be Unseelie if I gave up on Logan," she answered a little fire in her eyes again.

"This just hurts... more then you could know, like I've fallen from all graces..." she shook her head. "I wonder what Xander will have to say."
PostPosted: Wed May 12, 2010 9:09 pm

Gambler smiled slightly at Aria and touched her cheek, her eyes showing the Fae her wisedom and sadness. "Aria. You haven't fallen from grace. You still have a chance to redeem yourself versus me? I have a long way to go for that to happen. So for now, I'm just enjoying what I can down here." She smiled some more. "I have to warn you however, if you do fight with us, it's going to get ugly and very dangerous. I just hope your friend Xander could understand through the eyes of an outsider. I hope he's a good leader who can understand from all sides of the equation." She muttered and turned to Rave. "For now, we let Aria get some of her things and then meet with Eri. I'm starting to like him right now." she said with a small grin.

Nodding, Rave stood, opening the door for both women as his shadows went into him once again, unnoticeable by any of them. "I understand. Eri will meet us, Kalore will not be there. It would be better if he wasn't alerted of these things for a while..." He knew that Kalore would flip...

Gambler nodded and turned to walk out of the room and sit down at the front of the church, comfortably on the pew to wait for Aria and Rave to come out. As she sat there, her mind was over flowing with peace as she stared at the cross and all the paintings on the wall and ceiling. For a moment her eyes seemed to gaze off into the distance.

((I've returned! sorry for being gone so long!))

Aria stood and walked after Gambler. "I appreciate your kindness, both of you. Together we will succeed..." Aria sighed and looked up at the picture of the man and the cross. "Who is he?" she asked curiously.
