Kasiya climbed higher and higher, knowing exactly where she was going. Manny rested on the uppermost floor, which was also where the wealthiest of trainers laid their beloved Pokemon to rest. The upper levels were more expensive because the Channelers and Sages believed it to be closer to a Pokemon's final resting place. Lt. Surge had insisted that Manny be buried here, on the top floor. He had been well loved in the Gym, and nobody questioned him. Kasiya didn't pay any attention to anyone that may be following her, nor to Vaporeon or Pikachu who barely strayed an inch from her heels. Her heart racing from the steep climb, she bowed to the Sages who guarded the top floor, and walked silently along the rows of gravestones, her eyes resting on the very last one. She stopped in front of it, and knelt down. She lit the candle that sat next to the grave, and closed her eyes, thinking of Manny. He had been the kindest, most gentle Pokemon she had ever known. Even when she was young, he'd take care of her like she was his closest friend in the world. He also taught her not to fear thunderstorms, something which she always remembered whenever dark clouds loomed overhead. Kasiya didn't realize when hot tears, a mix of grief and happiness started sliding down her cheeks, but she prayed on, remembering Manny and hoping that he found peace in the afterlife.
Pikachu and Vaporeon stayed at the door with the sage, not daring take a step inside, but both had tears in their eyes.

Mike turned to Nina, a small grin on his face. "You can communicate with Ghost Pokemon can't you."

As they reached the docks, Kevin saw a small fishing boat tied to the dock bobbing in the waves. A man was loading various supplies and fishing gear into the boat. "Excuse me sir, would it be too much trouble to ask for a ride to the mainland while you're out fishing?" Kevin asked while approching the man.
The man turned to Kevin, "Why sure young feller. I was heading back to the mainland anyway. I never fish in the open sea, I always stick to the rivers and lakes. I only come out to Cinnabar to get the best bait in all of Kanto."
"Thank you sir," Kevin said greatfully while climbing into the boat and lifting Squirtle in aswell. Moments later, they were out in the open ocean heading for Fuchsia City.

"I knew it, I could see it in your eyes, you were more comfertable than anyone else in this place." Mike said, proud of his correct assumption. "I had a feeling you were special, you always seemed like you wanted to tell everyone your little secret. Plus, how else could you keep such a close bond with your ghost Pokemon?"
Charmander looked at Mike with a smile on his face, Mike was always good at reading people, thats what made him such a good friend.

"Alright Ralts, lets go!" Mitsu said, careful not to raise her voice too high. "Double team!" she said. Ralts appeared to be split into many ralts all circling the Ghastly.
"Now Pidgey! Gust attack!" Ken ordered.
The Ghastly was struct head on it took quite some damage before hovering up again. The ghost Pokemon flew behind Ralts which had stopped it's Double team. The Ghastly gave it a lick with it's wet pink tounge. Ralts cringed a bit.
"Double team again Ralts!" Mitsu said cheering on the little fellow.

Hearing the commotion upstairs, Mike bolted upwards untill he came across the battle. He started cheering Ralts and Pidgey on. "Go team!" he cheered, forgetting about being quiet.
Charmander let go of Mike's leg and walked closer to the battle, his thirst for action overriding his fear of ghosts.

Nina smiled sheepishly. "Was it really that obvious?" she asked, kind of blushing, and petting Marill every now and then.

Ralts once again seemed to mulitply iteslf while Pidgey used another gust to hack away a bit of Ghastly's hit points. Mitsu dig threw her pack only taking a few seconds to find a Pokeball. She was about to let it fly, but Ken abruptly stopped her.
"Wait you want to weaken it first as much as you can. it makes catching Pokemon easier." he suggested.
Ghastly took the moment of advice to give pidgy a nasty Lick attack and then follow up with a Hypnosis attack putting Pidgey to sleep. Now fousced on Ralts Ghastly once again tried to lick the small Pokemon. Mitsu was prepared this time. "Double team once more Ralts and make many." she instructed.
Poor Ghastly became confused and in that moment Mitsu let the ball fly hitting Ghastly on the head. The Pokemon was turned into a beam of red light was proceeded to be sucked into the samll red and white ball.

"Hey, what--?" Before Nina could finish her sentence, she was pulled upstairs by Shiver and saw Pidgey and Ralts battling a wild Gastly. Mitsu had just thrown a Pokeball at it and it was sucked inside.

Kasiya finished praying, and sat in front of the gravestone (a grey, marble tombstone with a carving of Manectric and several dates, and also the words: "Loyal Companion and Loving Friend to All" ). She still had her eyes closed, tears seeping down her cheeks. Her chest heaved from holding it all in. "I can't believe it's already been a year," she choked between sobs. "I really should have told everyone the truth, that it wasn't years ago. Only a year...." she buried her face in her hands and began to sob uncontrollably. Vaporeon suddenly jumped to her feet and ran over to her trainer, putting her head in Kasiya's lap. Pikachu looked up at the Sage, expecting him to scold Vaporeon, but he merely nodded in their direction. Pikachu scampered over on all fours, and climbed into her lap opposite Vaporeon's head, and just stayed in that very spot, trying its best to console her.

"If only I was a few minutes earlier..." Nina muttered, almost sadly, to herself. Misdreavus rubbed her head against Nina's cheek; "Don't worry, honey... there's more than one Gastly in the Tower."
Nina nodded, and watched Charmander kick the Pokeball. "Sh...should I help too?" she asked Misdreavus.

The pokeball landed with a 'clink' sound as it hit the tiled floor. It occasonially moved back and fourth. Chrmander wanting to help ran across the battle field which was now hushed and kicked the Pokeball.
It froze for a moment, Mitsu held her breath, and then erupting from the Pokeball a red light which was Ghastly.
Mitsu gritted her teeth. She threw another Pokeball bofore the ghost Pokemon decided to flee. Once more it was sucked in and rocked back and fourth. Time seemed to freeze.
