Mai-lin shook her head. "No. It's only something I did -do- and sometimes Li-wu use to do it too. But he only did it with other Inuzukas. It was our way of...sealing the deal. When we licked someone that means that we'll keep our promise." She rubbed the back of her head. "Kinda stupid, huh?"

Anekio caught Yuhi's look and nodded at the Hokage's question. "Actually, Sir, I have a small favor to ask. As you can tell, Yuhi-kun over here is the top Chunin in the Leaf. I wanted to give him hands on experience of what a Jounin has to do. With his help it would probably be easier catching this man, since this man probably has the skills of what Yondaime did, or at least the strength level." She stated, feeling it was a good thing she chose to study all the past Hokage for future reference, even if it was a pain in the buttox.

"No, I don't think it's stupid, just a bit strange to me." Kei said then stood up. "I need another drink, do you want something? My treat?" He tossed his empty can into the trash and went over to the machines.
"Pleas give me this chance to prove myself, Hokage-sama. If at any point Anekio or Tori find me just in the way, I'll leave. I've worked really hard so far and I believe I'm ready to be a Jounin."
The Hokage leaned back in his chair, studying the two in front of him. "I have heard good things about you, Yuhi, and even seen some for myself. This mission is an A rank with a high probability of death, much higher than B ranks that you're used to." He looked again at Anekio. "If she is recommending you for this mission, then she must believe that you will be of help. You're request...is granted."
Yuhi wanted to start yelling his excitement but held it in. "Thank you, sir. I swear that I will not disappoint you."

Mai-lin stood up and looked at the different drinks. "Umm..sure...I'll have whatever you do." She said, unable to pick which one she wanted. SHe streached and sighed. "Ugh, today has been sooo fun." Hse said, rolling her eyes, making her voice drip with sarcasm.

Anekio smiled slightly, bowing for a moment. "Thank you, Hokage-sama. I'll be sure he won't disappoint you." She rose back up. "We'll leave you to get to work now. We'll need to rest up for the mission."

The Hokage nodded. "I'm trusting you to keep an eye on him, Anekio. As for Tori-san, you should try looking for her at her house if you haven't already."
"I did check there earlier but I guess a second time won't hurt any." Yuhi said and bowed. "Thank you, sir." He then left the office and hurried back outside where he threw his arms up in the air and shouted, "Yatta!"
Kei got two sodas from the machine and gave Mai-lin one. "We're ninjas, better get used to these types of days." he opened his soda and took a few swallows. "So, do you want to do something to try to make things more...fun? Until we hear from Anekio-sensei, we've pretty much got free time."

Mai-lin opened her and took a sip, raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean by fun? Cause I remember you getting into trouble for pulling pranks at the bath houses. I mean, I'll most likely say yes but I still want ta' know."

Anekio sighed. "Immature." She muttered under her breath once she was out of the office as well. "I guess I'll either go find some Genin or look for Tori-san." She nodded. "They're probably wondering when that practice is." She sighed. Because they're so troublesome...

"Hey, how did you know that was me?" Kei asked then laughed. "Don't worry, I wouldn't want you to get into trouble...though it's going to be harder to think of something to do."
"Do you want me to go with you to see if Tori's at her house? Or I could go check the bird tower again while you do that." Yuhi asked and was still smiling from his excitement. "Later you should let me buy you dinner as a thank you. I don't even care where, you can pick."
Tori left her house and headed down the road. Today I'm going to find out everything about my past that the Hokage knows. I refuse to be left in the dark about my own life.

" Nah, I'll get it over with. You'd better relax." Anekio grinned, "No thanks. I was planning on eating in tonight, besides I don't need you trying to pull a fast one and then claim it was a date." She started walking back down the stairs, mumbling something about how stupid it was to have so many.

Mai-lin laughed. "Thanks. I think I'm in enough trouble with the Hokage as it is. After burning down my appartment the other day." she gave a small laugh. "And I know cause Himi and I could smell the powder on you and we both heard that someone was going on."

Damn, almost had her! "See you tomorrow morning then!" Yuhi called after Anekio before heading home. I better get my stuff ready! I still have to finish cleaning and sharpening my weapons. When he got home he went right to work.
Kei thought for a few minuets, then smiled. "How about hide-n-seek? It will help with our training too, if you think about it."

Anekio smirked as she set off to find Tori. Bet he thinks he almost had me too. Oh well, I'll have to find Tori-san and inform her then let those genin know what's going on and when we'll train. She thought, hating her stupid schedual and life style.

Mai-lin laughed and noded. "Ok, Hide-n-seek it is. We should limit it...To just the park. Anywhere in the park is where we can hide. Can I hide first?" She asked, pouting at the younger. "Pwease, Pei-kun?"

"Only the park? That's no fun...but okay. Go and hide, I'll count to one hundred." Kei turned around and put his head against a tree and started counting.
If the Hokage doesn't tell me what I want to know, I'll have to try and convince father to tell me. He's as stubborn as a mule though so I hope it doesn't come to that. As Tori rounded a corner, she spotted Anekio coming the other way.
