As soon as they entered his room, Skiaska started talking. "Sorry, hun. My..." Her face darkened some. "...Mother came to visit..." She sighed and sat on the bed, looking a little shamefaced.

'Well, ya know... I was kinda dying in there, you could have stayed while I ate!' Sethe said angrily, raising his voice. 'I...Look, I'm sorry. I'm just a little on edge. I kinda almost starved to death, my head is bleeding... for some weird reason, and I almost transferred my entire life essence to Jaffar to keep him from dying... so... I'm just a little edgy...'
He sat on his bed, next to her, and wrapped his arm around her. 'I'm sorry, babe. I didn't mean to sound angry...' Sethe kissed her on the fore head, and then on the lips.

Skiaska pressed into the kiss and when they broke, she smiled lightly. "I'm sorry... Any way I could make it up to you?"

"DAMNIT" Tokeru was forced to one knee, just feet from the infirmary.
"Riona, if you really want me to beat this thing, get a neuro surgeon. NOW."
His hand slowly moved to his belt. Slowly, inch by inch, the hand made it's way to his gun.
"DAMNIT RIONA, GO NOW."
Tokeru grasped the gun in his other hand and threw it away. "THis will not happen again, I swear it."

Rioan came back, after yelling at the guards, to Haven. She was holding a person by the neck and dragging them along. Why am I doing this? She heard the person start to speak, but she grolwed, making it shut up quickly. Shooting the person one last glare, she knelt next to Tokeru. "Tokeru, this is a surgeon I knew. He has had experience in almost all fields of surgery. He has removed a simular chip. He can help you. Trust him, go with him." The man started into the infriamry, then into solitary.

"RIona, get everyone here. If something goes wrong, i want you to shoot me. In the heart. Get everyone."
Tokeru slowly followed the man into the infirmary. He lay down on the table.
"Doctor, i hope your as good as she says you are. If not, well then we're all doomed."

The doctor sighed. "I'm mainly here to help. Your doctor is well known, believe it or not... But not many know where to find her." He got some scrubs and started setting up.

Sethe pulled her closer, enveloping her in his arms. 'Well... I'm not sure... We could... uhm... I dunno. Any suggestions?' he asked, quite preplexed and unsure of what she could do. 'It's not as if you have to, but if you feel you do, we could just lay here for a while, or something. Maybe we could take a nap?' he kissed her, and nosed her nose. 'I love you.'

Skiaska kissed his nose and thought, wrapping her arms around his waist. "Yeah, let's just... lay here." She smiled gently as they fell back onto the bed. She looked at the ceiling, eyes smiling. "Wanna talk?"

Hokaru Moneru "Hurry up, before i lose control of the chip" ((Ok then, who wants to do the operation.)) ((I guess that I'll be roleplaying as Dr. Hunter.)) Gail watched as her paitent was wheeled into the operating theater. They'd told her all she needed to know; Tokeru had an implanted microchip in his spinal column that was quickly driving him to madness. If someone tried to remove the chip and botched the operation, he'd be crippled or die. If they did nothing, he descend fully into madness and eventually die. Damned if they did, damned if they didn't. At least this way the young Hunter had a chance, as long as she didn't screw it up. Directing some of the people handling him to lie him down on his stomach on the operating table and to strap him down, she slipped into the small medical shower room. Minutes later, she was fully dressed in scrubs and had a tray full of precision surgical tools in front of her. Walking over to where Tokeru's head was, she slipped a mask over his face and started up the gas feeds. "Now Tokeru, I want you to count with me down from one hundred, alright? Good. One hundred, ninety-nine, ninety-eight, ninety-seven, ninety-six..." By the count of ninety-three, Tokeru was completely unconsious. Inhaling deeply, Gail steadied herself for what was to come. Damnit, she wasn't a neuro-surgeon! But she was the closest thing they had to one. Picking up a scalpel, she began to make the first incision.

((OK, back to playing as Will now.))
William Jackson, currently bed ridden leader of the New York Hunters Group, was worried. This was not an unusual thing, since he worried almost constantly about his people's welfare. After all, concern for your subordinates was one of the prime qualities of a good leader. But right now, he was much more worried than he normally was, and that was saying a lot.
Gail had given him the four-one-one on what was going on in Haven right now. Skiaska's adoptive mother, a lycanthrope named Riona, had dropped by for a visit. This wasn't a bad thing since he welcomed the chance to further relations with the other races. But the Hunters were still abuzz with the knowledge of what Bridget had done to those Lunite children. He hated to think what they'd say when he promoted her in spite of his disgust at her actions; he might not like her thinking but she'd proven herself to be a frighteningly effective Huntress and he couldn't deny her the rank that she'd earned. If Riona caught wind of somebody discussing the "Bridget issue", what would she do? Would she report it to the head of her clan, or spread the word to other lycanthropes? If the lycanthrope community learned of the slaughter of as of yet innocent pups, what would they do? Would they demand that he be held accountable and executed for the actions of one of his Hunters, something that he'd willingly do if it saved his people; or would they demand that he turn Bridget over to them to face lycanthrope justice, something that he could not in good conscience do as her commander? Or worse yet, would they just declare war on the Hunters and wipe them all out? Will just prayed that Riona didn't hear anything that she shouldn't hear.
Then there was the problem with Tokeru. Will was really starting to hate any and all systems of government and the secret projects they sponsored. Lydia, Bridget, Skiaska, and Tokeru. All had been fundamentally altered and turned into something more than human. But now it seemed that Tokeru had gotten the worst deal out of all of them. Who would have guessed that he had a chip implanted near his medulla? One that they had no choice but to try to remove despite the danger, lest he be driven insane. Once again, all he could do was pray to God for Tokeru's safety and trust in Gail's skills as a doctor. Lord, but he hated feeling helpless.
Finally, the last issue weighing on his mind... well, besides trying to find out who shot him that is. It had been raining for a long time in New York, and the city had finally flooded. Hunter's was just a one story building, and it was now a good many feet underwater. Fortunately, they had enough sheet metal, welding material, and sealant to make both Hunter's and Haven watertight. The bad news was that they had no good way to easily get in and out of Haven or Hunter's, and food and fresh air was running low. They needed a solution fast. And as luck would have it, Will had one in mind.
A phone call to some very special naval contracters he knew and three hours later, there was a plexiglass tube complete with ladder and a simple pulley elevator connecting the rooftop entrance on top of Hunter's to the floating pier bobbing on the water's surface right above them with several boats and jet skis tied to it. It looked like the Hunters were back in business while the waters raged.

Skiaska returned the kiss as she slowly pressed herself to him. "Or Ic ould tlak about how much I love you... But that could take awhile..." Smirking slightly, she trailed kisses down his jaw line. Ski gave the choker a glance, but shrugged it off. She wouldn't ask unless he spoke about it.
