Zeejay stared in confusion at the door after Cordy left, the frown evident on her worn out face. how could he just... leave? Granted, Neku needed to come at peace within himself, and maybe Cordain too, but just going for a camping trip so abruptly... And so soon after the forest fiasco? Was it right?

With a wistful sigh Zeejay reclined against the pillows and focussed he rmind on her breathing. "Seriva, sweet... You're wet."

"Ye, I am Ma'am..." Seriva murmured, watching her mother protectively. "You should relax, I"ll go downstairs and see if anyone has any extra clothing I could use."

Zee nodded and closed her eyes, drifting into a well-needed sleep. Seriva, seeing this, wandered downstairs leaving water in her trail. Worm slinked after her, looking around quite moodily. Stepping into the main room the golden fae child looked for someone she might ask for clothing. "Excuse me... But does anyone have any dry clothing or covering I might use to dry up?"

Carol watched Paine with a giggle, the woman was repeating the same actions over and over, did she know? She herself hadnt relized that she had a patteren going. She would hum softly for a few secounds then rock Kapono, then pick up her sewing and sew a few more stiches put it down, sigh, watch Ms. Paine, then repeat.

She was dragged out of her thoughts however when she heard anothers voice. She span around to look at the golden child so fast that her hair fly in her face and mouth. Giving a disgusted face at the hair, she quickly brushed it out of her face and groaned, pulling it back behind her ears.

Once the process of fixing her hair was done she smiled at the child. "Hi there" She started while letting the thought sink in. It was a long pause before she answered "Well, I dont have extra clothes...but I do have this..." She spoke and stood up, placing Kapono in the chair she had sat in. She tehn shrugged the jacket she wore off her shoulders and handed it to the child.

"That should keep you warm..." Carol spoke thoughtfully and then looked around. "I have nothing to dry you up with, just scarps of cloth..." she spoke truthfully "Maybe Ms. Paine would?" Carol asked leaning over to pick up the wood fae once more and then stared at paine waiting for an answer.

"Huh, what? Did I miss something?" Paine said as she snapped out of her trance. Her gaze shifted from the golden fae to Carol, then to the jacket in Seriva's arms. It was obvious that the fae wanted clothing, seeing how she was all wet. Paine looked at her outfit. Did she have anything the fae could use? Her face was deep in thought as she debated if the fae could use her apron. Paine took off the white cloth and handed it to Seriva. "Here, I don't think you should wear this, but use it to dry yourself" she said with a smile. She didn't care if Seriva took the apron, she only knew that the fae needed it and she was always happy to help.

Seriva gave a small smile and curtsied politely. "Thank you Misses, your very kind." She then sat down in a free chair, a large black furrbal leapt unto her lap and curled up there contentedly. Before she attended to herself Riva tried to dry off the cat, Worm. Once Worm was dried up and lay there, his tawny eyes half-lidded, the golden fae child cleane dup herself and put on the jacket thankfully. Once this was all finished she looked torwards the others in the room.

"Excuse me for prying Miss, but is that a young faeling?" Seriva asked Carol, interest in her voice. "It's just that I haven't met all of the fae in this town as of yet, and would like to."

Carol smiled at Paine as she handed over the apron, before sitting back down. When asked if the child was a fae, Carol had to think for a moment. 'thats what the other child called him...right?'

Nodding softly to herself more then anyone she turned to the girl and replied "Yes, I believe so, his name Is Kapono" She spoke with a smile tugging her lips. "He tends to sleep a lot though. perhaps its just because he was just...." she stopped trying to think of a word that best discribe it. "...um..born" She smiled once more before holding out her own hand "Hi there, Im carol." she spoke remembering her long lost manners.

Seriva nodded and shook Carol's hand. "It's very nice to meet you Miss Carol, I'm Seriva Moratao... My mother's upstairs at the moment." she frowned a tad when she mentioned her mother, but replaced it with a smile soon as she looked at young Kapono. "He's adorable. Mayhaps it's a good thing he sleeps often, if he was awake most young fae can be quite a handful."

With a gold-scaled hand Seriva plucked a soft yellow strand of hair from her eyes, then adjusted her headband. "How long have you been at Astora?" she asked politely. Worm looked up and meowed grumpily until Seriva stroked behind his bat-like ears.

Carol sighed softly. "I'm sure he would be a handful...I'de be the first white haired teenager if he was a handful, I can almost promise that" Carol giggled slightly. Before thinking of how long shed been in the village. "Well...in the village its SELF I've been here for about...hmm...two days? But then again I was also in the forest for the search." She answered truthfully.

Carol looked at the cat for a moment before changing the topic. "So, Whats his name?" she asked gestering with her head to the cat.

Paine looked at Carol and Seriva, smiling with joy. Ms. Carol was indeed a nice person, and she was especially great with children in her opinion. Looking at Kapono once more, Paine whispered "He is indeed not a handful at all. He's very calm when he sleeps, although when I see human children, not fae children, they're so...loud. Though Kapono...isn't like that at all. Somehow, mature...for his age". As she finished her sentence, she headed back to her paper and sat down. She was VERY confident now about what she was going to draw now. Finally placing the tip of the pen against the paper, and in short strokes, Paine started to sketch Ms. Carol's design.

Worm looked up, knowing he was being talked about, and bared his teeth. "His name is Worm... He doesn't like humans much, he doesn't like anyone much." Seriva sighed and stroked behind one of his large ears. "Kapono does seem to be aa good young faeling. Those are rare to come by of late." she twitched her nose, her mind wandering elsewhere.

"Oh..." Carol murmered banishing all thoguhts of petting the feline. "I see..." She let out a breath she didnt knoww she had held. "Oh well..." Carol rocked the fae in her arms, while smiling down at him. "Well I wouldnt really know" She answered honestly in reply to the 'rare' comment. "As it is, you, shin, Kizzy, and Xue lin are the only children I have met. You, shin and Xue all seem calm. Kizzy...likes pancakes" She said looking over to paine with a smile.

"So" She smiled looking back over to the little girl, "Seriva, what do you like to do?" She asked in an attempt to make small talk.

Seriva looked up at Carol, her eyes mystified, no one had ever really asked her questions like this. She frowned and thought on it for a moment, "I... Like being with my mother, as with Worm.. Ah, I like.. to, patrol with my Mother, but I don't do that often. She still hasn't taught me how to properly wield the dagger she gave me in my own defense, but I think I will like that too." She concluded with a faint smile.

"What do you like to do, Miss Carol?"

Carol nodded as the young child taking it all in. So she was into self defense? Carol let a smile tug at the end of her lips as she rocked herself back and forth while thinking of the things she, herself, enjoyed.

"Well..." she started, "I like sewing, um singing is fun to, but i fear im not that good at it. I like to draw some things, and talking is a great hobby of mine. Some times I like to cook, and write. But I'de have to say my favorite out of all those is sewing. Its a great hobby, or more like the way I survive." She nodded at her own statement. It was great to have a job you could enjoy, it kept things from being to dull.

"I travel alot to, but apperently, the young girl of the Inn wants me to stay here. I think I will...If I can, as I dont want Kapono to be a wonderer like his mother." She added a soft giggle at the end of her statment before looking up at the ceiling, allowing her thoughts to wonder to any subject she might be able to bring up with the younger child.

Sketching different lines and curves on the paper, Paine continued to sketch Ms. Carol's new outfit....or an attempt to draw a NICE one. Her thoughts were a little mixed about how this would turn out exactly, for she had just met the woman, and didn't know what she would like. She stopped her production and took a good look at it, observing it and trying to imagine what Ms. Carol would look like with it on. Sighing as she wasn't completely sure if that was the RIGHT one...she looked at the pen, still in her hand. "Future note to self: Don't use a pen...EVER" Sighing at the scribbling she made, she turned it over and began working on a new piece.

At a new attempt to make this one perfect, Paine looked at the blank piece of paper, the pen sitting next to it on the table. White...White....White...that's all she could see at the moment. "Ah...stressful times" she said, rubbing her eyes in a circular motion. Looking back at the paper she still wondered what to draw. "I shouldn't give up...I shouldn't give up that easily" she said to herself as she picked it up, and tapped it on her lip once more. "That'll do!" she thought as the image appeared in her head. Forgetting of the mental note she made earlier, Paine put the tip of the pen on the paper, and lightly started to sketch the design, confident that this one will blow Ms. Carol away.

Kapono stirred in Carol's arms, his emerald eyes peeking open to see a woman sketching madly at a piece of paper. Reaching out with one small arm he snatched the interesting object away from the woman and stared at it with half open eyes.

Carol sighed and shook her head. "Kapono dear, play with the picture Kizzy drew for you, don't take Ms. Paine's away." she spoke reaching over and grabbing the paper from under the table and handing it to him and trying to take the other away from him.

His grip on the paper Paine once had, however, tightened as he refused to let go. "Give to mommy" Carol said glaring slightly at the little boy who made no move to let go. "Come on Kapono!" The small toddler gave a glance at Carol before letting go and snatching away the other paper with a picture of himself on it.

She smiled. "Good boy" She murmured and reached over to hand Paine back the paper. "Sorry Ms. Paine," She chuckled and ran a hand through her bangs "Um...He just found it...interesting?" She spoke, her tone changing it to a question though, as she smiled sheepishly.
