RinoaHeartilly Karu_Chan RinoaHeartilly Karu_Chan I get to spend Saturday Feb 12, marching a mile and a half in Wikkenburg's Gold Rush Day parade crying Since i'm a flute, I am at the front, and if i mess up the whole row behind me messes up. sweatdrop I've had to march in a 3 mile parade around the neighborhood, IN THE RAIN. It sucked so much, since we also had to wear our parkas which don't smell too good, and they made us get all hot and sweaty whee By the time we were done my shoulder was killing me. I am sorry to hear that sad that must have sucked, we have to March in 100 degree weather, DAMN ARIZONA!!!! scream eek I think I would rather go through what I did again than be in 100 degree weather xd Afterwards we got to go to a picnic that we had to walk to that was under tents. It was canceled due to rain YEEEESSSS, out teacher wont let us march, because wikkenburg is like one of the first towns ever built n our state and the parade is on dirt, so we'd be ankle high in mud. YYYAAAYYY, THERE IS A GOD!!!

Padfoot_Freak Hehe yeah, my band only has 8 flutes (or is it 7...) then again the band in general isn't that big. We only have 1 trombone! Wow. How big is your band? We're really small, and we've got four trombones (between the two... there's three in one band and one in the other).

I haven't been on in forever and I have to leave in 30 minutes for a performance. We're trying to raise money for an orchestra teacher, or a new band teacher, so all of the bands and choirs are performing. This means elementary schools all the way to college students.
I'm playing with the orchestra, then in the wind ensemble with the symphonic, and then in the wind ensemble with the college wind ensemble. We rehersed it today and it was soo cool. heart For the finale, we're playing Battle Hymn of the Republic, and everyone's performing that together. There's about 200 people on the stage, and there were 400 in the house singing. It's going to be soooo cool!

Last night was really fun. We had a small party afterwards with really yummy, fruity pie. I am a sad person though. My friend let me play her piccolo for a little bit and I could barely get three notes out. Yesterday, two piccolo players, a trumpet player, and a tuba player were all practicing something for a play we're going to be in. The trumpet didn't have her instrument, so she borrowed a piccolo. She couldn't play it, but she could definately make sound. She skawked on that thing the entire time we played. It was funny, but I am sad. The end.

Hmm, I played a piccolo at my friend's house a few months ago and I didn't have a problem with it. o.O;; We played piccolo/recorder duets that were originally written to be flute duets. XD It was fun. Sounded cool, too.

How come there are practically no guy flute players? In my school band there are four, and two say their quiting next year. That'll leave me and one other male flute player in my band.
