ZavierTrist liz_bliz Ontop of Trevian; Kira, Terry and Alex had nearly reached the manshion when Alex, looking over the side of Trevian's body, saw something. They were flying low, which allowed Alex's already better than perfect vision to see the ground quite clearly. "Hey guys," he said, "I see someone down there, in the lake. And he's not moving, his horse is next to him though." "So what do you want us to do about it?" Terry asked, looking at the manshion that was now visible and then back at Alex. "Well, I think we should go see if he's alright, turn it arond Trevian." Alex said as he motioned to their ride, who turned his head in aknownldgement as he swung his body around and went back to the lake. As they landed the three riders jumped off as their draogn ride shrunk into a human form. They walked up to the man laying in the water, only Alex walking all the way up to him. Alex knelt next to him and splashed a little wateron his face as he said, "Hey, you alright? Do you need help?" Z stirred a little at the splash to his face, but didn't wake. Finally, after several moments and more than a few more prods his eyes fluttered open. He starred at the man who had woken him without seeing, his eyes where fuzzy and distant. He blinked and looked to the sky, blinked again looking at his horse. He had no idea where he was or how long he'd been there. He gave a deep sigh and his eyes fluttered closed again, his body going limp and his breathing weak. "He's very weak," Alex said, "I think I need to give him a little transfusion. My blood is highly regenerative, so it could give him a bit of a energy until we can get him some food. Which, by the way," Alex said as he motioned to Terry, who cracked her knuckles and turned around, heading into the forest before Alex finished. Alex pulled out one of his small kodachi's on his lower back and cut first a small slit in the man's wrist and then his own, placing the cuts against each other so that his blood would flow into the man's cut. Alex's blood was one of the things that let him regenerate and keep his energy up for long periods. Once it was in the man's blood system, it would allow his body to recooperated for a small time and give him enough energy to get up and eat and drink. It didn't take long for both Alex's cut and the man's to heal, Alex's blood doing it's work well. He lifted the man's head up and tried to wake him again by cracking off a small crystal of smelling salts and holding beneath his nose.

Fai scrunched up her face and turned the map around. Was she reading it right? According to this thing she should be at a large medow and the town would be on the other side. Whomever had made it hadn't done a very good job. All she could see was thick brush and tall canopied trees. Some medow it was. When she'd first set out to find this town, she'd been eccstatic. Now after about three days, her enthusiasm had begun to wane. Was it really supposed to be this far?
As if to answer her question, the trees began to thin out and a large lake could be seen just ahead. Breathing a sigh of relief, Fai picked up her pace to a quick trot and then to a light jog as she became closer and closer to the twinking blue water. Once she had broken free of the tree line, her jaw dropped and she nearly fainted. When they had said she was supposed to go to this town marked on the map, she hadn't expected it to find a building the size of a small mountain. If one thing was certain, it was that she had ended up in a completely different area than she should have been. Instead of turning back and returning to the hospital or finding some one and asking for direction, Fai continued towards the mountanous structure.
SOmething called to her, compelled her to continue onwards. It made her want to stay there at that place and a small sense of wonder passed though her mind, thinking that whomever lived here might be in need of a healer. It was a long shot but she could always hope. Deciding it was to be, she began to skirt the lake with new found excitement.

Draeken was only able to mutter a few unintelligable words when Phia found him and picked him up. Even after being put into the bed, he was only able to grunt a bit then fall quickly to sleep. He was incredibly tired, and the bed was very comfortable.

The pain was starting to fade away, but his mind was still troubled on what seemed so different about himself. It was something profound and huge, but he just couldnt nail it down. He was so engrossed in his thoughts that he barely felt Phia lift him and put him in a room. It would be some hours still before he would realize he was even in a bed, let alone before he would realize what was different about himself.

*It felt like a gaping hole in his chest. He clutched it feeling his heart pounding under his flesh and fell on his side, spilling his tea on the floor. He felt drained, as if there was a void within him, but sat himself back up and picked up the now empty cup*
"I apologize, I must be more exausted than.. I.... thought....."
*He trailed off, noticing that many of the others in the room looked the way he felt. Suddenly he knew what was going on. Dothreme had heard of this happening when a lot of energy suddenly enters or leaves an area but had never experianced it first hand. Someone had just preformed a rather large ritual near by*
"..... or not shielding myself enough to ignore that much energy radiating from this place. If you'll excuse me I must rest, I feel drained."
*At this Doth carefully stood and walked in the direction that Phia had told them the rooms were... He put out the lights in one of the empty rooms, and pulled out a small chunk of bread from his bag. Dothreme ate, hung his still wet cloths to dry and began meditating in the darkness, recollecting the energy that he felt had left him.*

As a magically adept individual, Derrek too was able to feel the sheer drop in magical energy. By his proximity to the source, he felt it more strongly than anyone else in the mansion (save possibly Phia, Aria, and Aethi, who all were used to D's aura). Derrek had taken precautions, though. The magical level drop when unsealing Aiyanna had been noticable too. D's power, since it was so much greater, had a corresponding higher drop in energy. All this ought to have been enough to knock Derrek out save for two factors. First, he had placed a seal around himself as a part of the ritual. The chalk circle in which he sat worked both as a focus and as a barrier for secondary magical effects like this one. The second mitigating factor were the two orbs on the ground in front of him. The energy they put out, so similar to D's, reduced the draining effects of the drop as well. As such, Derrek felt no real effect of the energy drop other than noticing it was there.
When Phia rushed into the room, Derrek was sitting in his now blackened chalk circle. Phia had come and gone twice. When she entered the second time, Derrek was moving to collect the weapons. He didn't think Phia noticed him, but that wasn't terribly important. After gathering his foci, he exited the room and headed towards the parlor to rest and try and remember where all these weapons went.
A powerful binding mage, Derrek was. Terribly good at sensing the presences of others, especially after a drop in magical power like this, he wasn't. As such, seeing so many people in the room caused him to jump back in surprise, dropping the ruby sword in the process. This was far more people than Derrek had expected to be in the mansion and he stood in the doorway looking into the room for a while.

Still feeling partially weak from whatever had caused such a horrendous dizzy spell, Synjii nearly jumped out of his chair when he heard the clang of the sword. Looking at the door, he saw someone holding weapons of various types and styles. Looking at the floor he saw a beautiful ruby blade, Sparkei looked at the blade, then back at the obviously startled man. He obviously wasnt expecting to see at least that many people in the parlor. Setting his tea down he headed to the sword and picked it up, spinning it in his hand and handing it back to him through the hilt, "Here you go, it's a really nice sword you got here." He said gazing at the blade with small admiration, he really didnt know the true value of the blade...but he did know that it was a pretty valuable...at least valuable looking sword.

All the while everyone was being taken, and being helped, Eva stood in the doorway of the mansion still. She blinked, and blushed, embarrasingly.
"Umm..."
Stepping a little more inward, and to the right, she peeked around a corner, and into another room of the mansion.
"Wow..."

"Thanks..." Derrek said, still looking over the many people he didn't know. He adjusted the other weapons in his arms to be able to hold the ruby sword more firmly. It wasn't going so well. Sighing, he took the pike and the throwing sword and placed them on his back, using a minor binding spell to keep them in place. Grabbing the sword was no problem after that. "It's actually not mine. All of these weapons are D's. I was just trying to remember where they went." With the initial shock of many people wearing off, Derrek took more careful assesment of the situation. With the Dojo destroyed, it would make sense the people needed to go somewhere. Derrek had come here immediately, but he had a path to follow and was, very likely, faster than these people would have been for travelling long distances (what with no longer being limited by normal stepping distance). Moving into the room, Derrek set the weapons down (including the ones stuck to his back) carefully beside a chair before almost falling into it himself.

Phia had been sick most of the night from the drop in energy and was even worse off in the early part of the day from combination of the lack of energy and her morning sickness. She had finally passed out after many hours of throwing up. Currently she was kneeled next to the bed D was resting in, her head on her folded arms which were on the bed, she was unconcious.
Aria wasn't feeling too great right now since she could feel what her parents were feeling and her ownself. She had spent the rest of her night curled up on her bed shivering.

Finaly, after a long rest, Draeken awakened and smiled slightly at seeing Phia next to the bed. "You work yourself too hard, love." He murmered before getting out of the bed and picking her up to place her where he had been laying. Smiling again, he made an attempt to get out of the room without waking her. There were a lot of people downstairs and he needed to greet them before he got wrapped up in other pressing matters.

Aethi came into the bedroom that her and Ari were to share and sighed at seeing Ari curled up on the bed. "You okay, Aria?" She would move to the edge of the bed then and kneel there, running a hand over Ari's hair.

"Heh. Silly girl, I'm not as weak as you may think." Draeken said walking into the room and sitting lightly on the bed. "I'm very tired, but hardly weak. It's good to see you again, though."
