"I hereby resign my comission to the Rebellion."
The words shocked Kefka as he said them himself. What shocked him even more was the response.
"No."
"What do you mean no?"
"I told you allready no, Colonel. And that's final. return to your quarters."
The door shut forcefully and Kefka found himself back in the hallway.

Zendia gave him a light chuckle, appreciative of his efforts to lighten things up. "Who knows where it really comes from?" she mused with a soft giggle. Thus was the moment that Rusty rolled in with the electronic equivalent of a snicker. "There you are, my little ray of starshine," she practically sang to the little droid. "He's been with me through a lot," she sheepishly told Gendis with a mild blush, as Rusty tweeted acknowledgement.

Orrin stayed in freefall, scanners showing nothing. A ruby pilot flew up in his xwing, and came up beside Orrin.
Seems we thought the same thing. Glorification through exploration.
Hours ticked by, as the Ruby pilot and Orrin stared down each other, metaphorically, hoping to claim the rich taste of finding somehting, the last hope for the rebellion so it seemed, before the other. But soon, Orrin's stamina beat the Ruby's, as he turned around to head for base. It also helped that the Ruby pilot had wasted fuel trying to amuse himself, doing rolls and flying around, but Orrin didn't take that into much account while he gloated.
"Tough s**t little man." He stated, relaxing back in his seat.
Another hour went by, as Orrin's bum was getting tired. He had to turn around, and get out. His time was up, and it was already well past lunch, and most likely, dinner would be served soon. As his Y-wing turned aroung, a blip came up.
What's this? A freighter? And why here? Unless...
"Unidentified freighter, state your buisness and Identify yourself." Orrin commed over. Little did he know he had won the contest.
((okay, Orrin has spent 10 hours flying recon. So you guys got to make up the time... We're moving ahead.))

A few hours before Orrin's discovery, Gendis was about to respond to Zendia playfully when he collapsed sideways, clutching his forehead. "Crap! Oh, s**t!" His cries of pain hissed from his mouth quietly, as whatever it was that was affecting him drained his voice as well as his mind. He quivered slightly before he felt himself recovering and sat up tiredly, offering Zendia an apologetic smile.
"Sorry. Don't know what the hell that was. ...I need to get some rest." He stood uneasily and stumbled to his room, collapsing on his bunk into a restless sleep once more.
((i'll edit that if you don't approve, just thought it would be interesting))

Zendia merely blinked at Gendis. "Hey, are you ok?" she asked him with concern. She then nodded, at him as he went to get some rest. Stilll, it seemed to her to be a rather slow day on Yavin, and she went outside, just outside the gate of the old Massassi temple with Rusty, and merely contented herself with the view. "It looks peaceful, doesn't it?" she asked Rusty, whom merely tweedled an affirmative.

Maybe I just need to clear my head...that's all...we can stay through this....just hold on...
Kefka walked intot he hangar, dazed. He found his way to Emerald Two, the first ship he had piloted for Emerald and lied to a guard about flying recon.
Soaring through the Yavin jungles, Kefka cleared his head, and decided to land near a cavern.
((Kef's gonna be MIA for the DS attack, to let you know))

((oh well kid. Since emsquad gets to watch, it's really not important anyway))
Orrin guided the freighter in. Of course, thinking he actually proved useful, he was sadly disappointed. But who could blame them, the pilots? The information about the death star was now in the rebellion's hands. And everyone was safe.. kinda.
"When we heard about Alderaan, we feared the worst," Orrin overheard, somewhat unknowing about the buisness. He neared his way towards a pilot, ready for a patrol.
"What happened to Alderaan? I've been flying for a good 18 hours in two runs."
"Didn't you hear? it was blown to smithereens!"
"Oh really... Sucks to be them.." Orrin grumbled, as he made his way to the mess hall for some dinner.

Zendia went back inside the temple. It seemed as though a flurry of activity picked up as a battered YT-1300 freighter landed, and it was implied that whoever was on it was important. Though why anyone of any importance would fly in on something that seemed to have been in the shape this particular frieghter was in escaped her. What a piece of junk! she incredulously thought, seeing the frieghter. Still, she was curious as to who just flew in on that particular ship. It's passengers seemed to be a scruffy looking Corellian man, with a Wookie in tow. In addition, there was a young man dressed in the same garb as that of settlers on Tatooine, as well as a regal young woman not much older than her clad in white robes, as well as a couple of droids, a golden protocol droid, as well as a blue and white astromech, which she took to be one of those R2 series models. Quite a motley crew, she mused. And then, upon reflection, it hit her. Is that Princess Leia herself? She then made her way to the mess hall, where she saw Orrin. "It seems that things are picking up around here," she simply told the older pilot. "Something big seems to have happened, if Leia herself is here," she added with a burst of excitement. She then shook her head. "I thought I overheard something about Alderaan, but I couldn't make it out," she told him. "Are things all right there?" she asked him, with a hint of worry on her face.

Orrin nabbed a plate and food, thinking over how to bear the news.
"That kinda is the princess of Alderaan, or should I say, former princess of Alderaan. Now she's the princess of a bunch of floating debris. You didn't know? Supposedly the base has been buzzing for hours about the Death Star destroying that jewel. I only heard it second-hand from another pilot."

Zendia felt her heart sink along with Orrin's words. It can't be! she gasped, with an expression of horror evident on her face. Sure, she'd heard the rumors of such a thing being built. Though she'd have never imagined that it would see the light of day, nor truly be capable of the horrific act it just commited. She followed Orrin to the table, and ate beside him in stunned silence. Still, she'd noticed that he said "jewel" in reference to Alderaan. "Have you ever been there?" she flatly asked him curiously, though her usual light cheeriness in which she'd talked to others with was gone, replaced by the coldest sorrow.

"Listen, I'm going to do you a favor that I normally won't bestow upon people often. I'm not going to be pretty, nor am I going to be gruesome. Yes, I've been quite a lot of places, but Alderaan was only a brief day of travel. Looked nice, never really experienced it. But if we talk about it, you'll just get sad, trying to remember all the things that got blown to bits, and it will be my fault. I do suggest, however, you get a hug." Orrin stated, wolfing down a bite or two between sentences.

"Perhaps another day," Zendia meekly replied, taking his suggestion to heart. She meekly reached over and attempted to hug him, but shyly patted him on the back instead. not sure if such was the time or place. "Thank you," she said, as she ate a few bites of her dinner.

"Hey," Orrin stated, Zenidia's face turning him soft. "Listen, I'll tell you a story. A Little while ago I was on Coruscant. One of my many visits there, of course. And like I was sixteen, I got into trouble. Again. However, this old vagabond isn't the swiftest thing in the fleet, if you know what I mean."
Orrin paused to take a sip of his drink. "Anyways, I found myself on the wrong end of blaster rifles. I darted through the streets as well as anyone can, but I've grown too old to jump fences and climb escape ladders like I once did. So, I turned into an alley, and suddenly, I was grabbed. It was forceful, but oddly, delicate, and no voice told me several choice curse words."
Orrin paused again, taking a deep sigh. "A little girl, aged seven or so, had pulled me through her window. She hid me, and watched as the troopers ran by. I owe my life to her. She was growing up in the slums. I vowed to one day make enough money and get her out of that place. But, unfortunately, I found myself in quite a tough place. The empire controls anything, and they don't particularily like me getting a job."
"I found purpose for joining this rebellion, though weak, its the only chance. For Her. Maybe you too have found purpose in this fiasco as well."

In spite of herself, Zendia could't help but give a light chuckle at the comment about the fastest vagabond. Still, she intently listened to Orrin's story until he was done. "My reasons may sound a bit silly, but it's all I have for now." she meekly replied. "You see, it seems that the Empire doesn't like it when folks are bad-mouthing it. Or speaking up when they're being out of line." She merely sighed, and continued. "So, anyways, my old man was a bard, by trade. And, one of his yarns just happened to be about the treatment of non-humans, and the corruption of the Empire. Of course, this got back to a Moff whom took exception to it, and had him arrested." She then paused for a moment, and then continued. "I was out in space with some old timer spacers when word got to me. I was just learning the ropes, and wished to get a job flying frieghters when I turned eighteen. I was sixteen at the time, to be seventeen within a couple months." "At any rate, one of my missions, my reasons for being here is to hopefully find him, and bring him home." She she paused, reflecting in a rather melancholy state. "But, that can't happen now, I'm afraid," she said, shaking her head. "But now, there are many people who are suffering because of this. Many, including myself, have lost families." At that moment, Rusty showed up with a sad whistle. "I know, sweetie," she sadly told him. "Orrin here just told me," she replied, gesturing to the pilot beside her. "And, you're right." She told Orrin. "I have to keep going now. For everyone in the galaxy who's affected by this." With that, Rusty gave a mild chirp.

"I'd offer you a drink, but you don't look like someone who disreguards soberiety. So, in lieu of the situation, how about something of your choosing? Something's got to take your mind off this, and I'm afraid my... suggestions... may not be appropriate at a time like this," Orrin stated, still feeling a bit soft-hearted at the moment.
