Watching everybody crowd arround the injured boy, Aysel quickly decided that her joining them would only smother him..and so, after packing her things, she went to stand before Bardane's desk, quietly waiting for his acknowledgement. She had a few things to ask him...and she yet was curious about him. She'd go find Antigone afterwards..but she didnt even know where her love had run off to. It wasn't like she had informed Aysel, after all...just left, and tarnished her record. Aysel sighed softly, as she did understand Anti's motives...but still found herself upset that she would do a thing so drastic.

Moving closer towards the classroom Yalitza's fears had been correct when she heard some voices. Class was indeed over, she had miss a class because she lost her way. Frowning slightly she shook her head as she rested against the door. She would have to see about making hte class up later. It shouldn't be too hard, at least she hope.

Pushing her hair from her face she look over at the fellow students, she wasn't all that sure what she wanted to do at this point. Normally she just walk up and say hello. Today wasn't that day though, with it already starting off bad, she just wanted to go to her dorm.

Stepping aside when the door swung open she watch the boy walk pass her before she slip into the classroom. She might as well go admit she miss class.

Kallisto merely watched as the last of the laws appeared on the wall then shoved her untouched parment and the rest of her supplies into her bag. Class was over. Finally. Rising, she made way for Grave as he passed her by and the four boys gathered together.

She watched for a moment, thought about checking to see if Torrid was indeed alright but from the way they were all being so tender and quiet, she dismissed the thought. She was neither wanted nor needed there. Flashing a scathing gaze at Bardane, she caught the smile he had offered Torrid and immediately dismissed it as false, empty.

Somebody who felt justified in metting out pain would not have a warm smile or anything behind it. Scoffing, she turned and made her way out the door glad to be rid of Bardane's presence. That was one person she would never ever even consider approaching with any of her concerns. As far as she was concerned it would be a waste of time.

A her face growing flushed the more she thought about it, she found herself in the hallway before she realized it. Stepping off to the side, she breathed deeply, closing her eyes and tried to calm down. It would do no good to go to the next class fired up and looking for a confrontation.

Each class is a clean slate. Yet to be written on.

She couldn't colour her opinion of the professor who's class next simply because she found herself despising the Law Professor. A final deep breath and she opened her garnet eyes, gaze sweeping the hallways. What class was next? It was important she wasn't late.

As Aysel's shadow cast a pool of shade over Bardane's hands he looked up, aghast and surprised. The only sign of the emotion in his face was a lucid widening of his eyes and his lips pressing into a thin, cautious line. Student's never approached him. Seeing the person before him was Aysel, Bardane relaxed a little and exhaled silently. "Yes, Aysel?" It was all the Law Professor said. He wasn't really sure what else to say, students approaching him was really a rare occassion. Bardane placed his hands along the lip of his desk as if he were about to push himself upright and backwards, but froze in that position, awaiting Aysel's reason or question for standing before him.

Dariyn slipped out, expression thoughtful. For some reason the laws themselves irked him, and he couldn't say quite why. But who was he to challenge something that had been around for far longer than he himself had? So instead he went searching for Morrow...after all it wouldn't do for his love to miss anymore classes just because he was out painting...and if he was painting, then the Melancholy was also very likely not eating either.

Drat.

His pace increased just a fraction with that thought. No...he didn't want anything to happen to the slender artist.

There was something about Bardane's expression that reminded Aysel of a cornerd wild animal. It almost made her smile at him in sympathy and perhaps comfort...but she stopped herself before she could do so. Bardane was a Three- what comfort could he gain from her? And so, she merely asked her question, deliberately keeping her eyes locked upon his. "Professor." She spoke clearly, sure of what she was saying, a slight frown creasing her brow, "I do not understand why it is that Zeros are thought of as less-thans, and why any fault done to one of them-us- may not be directly addressed by the Chorus. There are those of us that do not have any Ones, let alone Threes that we would trust...what then, if injustice is done? A Zero may not seek the help of the Chorus. A blind eye is turned, merely because we may not leave the White District. Would you please, if you can, explain to me why this is, or else correct me if I am wrong?"

Yalitza held back as she heard the other student start speaking. She was starting to wonder if actually admitting she miss class would be a bad thing. She wasn't the type that would lie either, she rather be truthful and get punished. Breathing in she held her bag close to her side as she listen to what the professor had to say to the other student.

She might as well learn alittle while she could.

{*decides to bring in all her Empyreans* 8D}

Antigone had wound her way back from the gardens quite a while ago, and had been lurking about the door of Bardane's classroom. She had been tempted- oh so tempted- to go back in, to apologize and sit down and take notes... But no. That would have completely gone against her own nature, if there was one thing she did understand, it was being true to herself was the way she would be happiest and of most help to others. So she stood, golden eyes scanning the faces of her classmates as they spilled from the room. Where was Aysel...?

Blayk yawned, and scratched idly at her cheek. Apparently, she had missed a class... But then, she wasn't the one in charge of the Awakening process, so it wasn't her fault she'd missed it. Yawning, the Choleric female brushed back a lock of brown hair, clear green eyes surveying all the activity that was going on around her. Law class, it seemed, was the lesson Blayk has missed. She gave a snot of laughter. "I'm glad I missed that... Incredibly dull stuff, I'd bet," she mused to herself.

Cashimer was not as relaxed as the Choleric female. In fact, on the inside, he was quite jittery. His stomach was alternating between dropping to his feet and rising within his throat. Of course, his calm green eyes and steady hands betrayed nothing of his inner feelings. Outwardly, he appeared to be a confident, if somewhat rushed, Empyrean that was eager to know what he had missed. What unfortunate timing his Awakening had been at... He would have liked to have arrived that the beginning of such an important class, rather than the end of it. Still, perhaps he could make up the work...? He devoutly hoped so. It would put off his being thrust into class with others. If he was this distraught without the distraction of trying to fool others into the illusions he wove about himself, Metatron only knew how he would do in an actual class setting.

Bardane did not blink as the question was being worded, merely waited, slowly and deliberately thinking it through. Finally, he nodded and replied. "In a sense Zeros are Less, as you put it; they are not yet grown into true Empyreans. Zeros are, afterall, merely animated Husks. Once your Additions begin to show you will be on the path to becoming true Empyreans. But these facts are irrelevant. These are not the concerns of the Metatrons, and certainly not the reason why they are not permitted to leave the White District." Bardane paused, to make sure that Aysel understood what he was saying. He kept her level stare and did his best to mask his admiration. Then he continued, his voice deep and calming. "The truth of the matter is that it is not safe for Zeros. The spies and Monsters that have pledged their allegiance to the Outsiders target the Zeros above any other simply for the ease with which they can be abducted or destroyed. Those Zeros that are abducted have the essence stripped of them and are turned into Outsiders... Those that put up too much resistance are merely slaughtered. With each Zero They steal, They steal our future. With each Zero They murder, They murder our hopes to survive." Bardane leaned forward and folded his hands atop his desk. "A long time ago, when I was just a Zero, the Chorus at that time, thought that the Zeros might grow stronger and more loyal to the City if they were to be exposed to what dangers they were being protected from. Several of the Seraphim's Barriers were forsaken, and the Zeros were allowed to see the horrors of the world. I was one of those Zeros, Aysel. In the three years that the Amendment lasted, we lost hundreds, not just Zeros, but brave Ones and Twos that tried to protect the Zeros, as they could not yet protect themselves. What friends I had perished. I say this not for sympathy, but so that you will understand how dangerous those times were. The Metatrons were horrified. They recinded the Amendment and reinstated the Barriers, and the old Laws. The price was far too high to pay. These Laws are for your protection. They are to grant you time in which you can mature into the strongest and best Empyrean you can be. You need to fill your head with knowledge so that when the chances for experience come across your path you will be able to hold your own..." Bardane reached out a soft hand and laid it on Aysel's forearm and peering into her eyes with knitted brows he added softly, quietly, "I know that it is not easy to trust those around you. Everyone is so different, even without their Additions. The rifts between Alignments, and sometimes genders are often great and unapproachable things. But if your heart holds no purchase for trust, understand at least, that the Shop Keepers and the Professors have been specifically selected by the Metatrons to be trusted. If there are none you personally trust, then select the one you distrust the most. Any of us would do all in our power to ensure that you are looked after. We were chosen for our loyalty and competance. If nothing else, have faith in us. We will not let you down." Bardane gestured to the doorway. "You'll be late for Art Class...run along." And then he released his soft touch on her arm and sat back, his face once again impassive with the mask he'd spent years perfecting.

((Aaaah, I've been so inactive!))

Yambati took his time packing up after class is finished, not wanting to be drawn in to the conversations springing up around him as the others filtered out. He listened quietly to Bardane's explanation to Aysel, committing select bits to memory. Then, as Bardane fell quiet, Yambati rose and filed out of the classroom.

Art class, hm? Sounded.... fun.

Deciding that maybe it would be a better idea just to head to her next class he carefully backs towards the door. Art class didn't sound to bad, she would just have to look up the laws later and get them down for future use.

Turning she slips out of the room looking around the hallway. She knew it would be a small wait so now all she had to do was find the class. Heading down the hall way she sighs to herself.

Ubel looked at Mathiaz when he spoke to him, and just smiled faintly, before moving to walk with Torrid as the other began to move on, coming to the Choleric's side. "To the infirmary, then?" he asked quietly, biting his bottom lip lightly. "Or would you prefer to go to class right away? Whatever you want is fine with me... I just want to get your hands looked at eventually..." He was rambling. It was time to shut his mouth and let Torrid actually reply.

Lior had been silent, very silent, through the entirety of this class, emotions sliding through him and changing his expression at random, but never bringing words to his lips. When class ended, he was instinctively on his feet, clearing his throat a bit and packing up his things, only glancing at 'brother' Ubel for a moment as the Melancholy shuffled to the rest of his lovers. Then he paused, watching Aysel and Bardane, listening to what the man had to say after the fright that had been class. "Aysel," he spoke up softly, reaching out to touch the girl's shoulder as he came closer. "Do you want to walk to class with me..?" He trailed off, looking towards the door, then smiled crookedly. "Never mind. Anti's waiting for you. I'll see you in class." He turned to go, looking 'round the room for Zethyr as he made his way towards the door to find his way to art class.

"That doesn't mean you can't walk with us, Lior," the Sanguine said, having entered the classroom herself. She appeared rather unaffected by her dramatics during class. Her insides were twisting upon themselves. She could taste the still-fading remnants of her temper, and found it's flavor bitter. "I've no objections, of course." She sent him an easy grin, despite the emotions that clawed and bit at her stomach.

Raelyn had taken up her post at the doorway of her studio, as she always did on the first day of her classes. She didn't want any of the students to get lost along the way, so she stood in front of the open door, fluttering her wings delicately and waving the students in that she recognized to be in her class. She hummed softly to herself, looking forward to a new bunch of students, and hoping they wouldn't dislike her.

Lior looked at Anti in surprise, having not heard her come in. Then he smiled crookedly a this fellow Sanguine, nodding once. "All right then. I shall walk with you," he said, before he dragged Antigone into a hug, not saying what it was for, but hoping she would understand his concern and his pride in her. "Well then! Shall we go, and practice painting lovely things?"
