i decided to name my b&s 4-valve rotary tuba jayjay the jet plane. last year, my baby brother knocked it over and the 4th valve snapped off. it ended up having to be fixed with a part from a model airplane, since the company that made the tuba is in germany and they don't do replacement parts or something. xd

My oboe is Hideki, meaning "excellent wood" in Japanese. Japanese because there was this lovely little tag on the inside of the case saying "Wood; Made in Japan". ;3
He was christened with that name after I got a superior rating for the first time I performed on him whee heart

Well, I named both of my clarinets and I'm frequently looked at weirdly when I call it by it's name. My marching Bb Clarinet is called Al...It's because when you look straight at the mouthpiece the two metal pieces on the top of the liguiture look like eyes and I thought it looked like an Crocodile...but Al sounded better than Croc at the time. My concert Bb Clarinet is named Leo. Basically it just needed a name and It's personalily reminded me of a lion. Say one bad thing about it and it'll stop working for the whole week. ...Yeah. I'm more attached to Al because Al was my first clarinet and it's never let me down, but it's an old clarinet I bought used and it's not the best of the bunch, but I still treat it like royality...
....Now you know why most people in the band don't listen to a word I say. biggrin
