soloft EViLgerbilz soloft Do y'all do block marching or the loop marching stuff? Uh, what's the difference? sweatdrop Block marching is straight lines, and loop marching is pretty much organized chaos unless perfected. I think our band is loop marching but at the end they march in a straight line sorta to exit but the like to scater some.

Oh alright, I was asking because one of the bands around here is playing that music.
So many Texans. xDD
We do some pretty involved drill because our band is relatively small. Lots of big circles and backwards marching. eek.
EDIT: I just realized all of our best marchers are turmpets, and then the percussion. The woodwinds er.. suck at marching, to be completely honest. They are really flat footed and it's gross.

Our director totally kicks arse at writing drill for us. But its kind of weird; we march into blocks that melt into swirly things then go back into blocks. But it works and thats all that matters, I think. We have our drill online if you want to check it out: http://www.music.miami.edu/Band/index.html I think its under Current.

At one point we do block marching the cantina band piece. When we play the finale though we make Darth Vader. Some people messed it up big time last performance though and made it look like the left side of Vader's brain had a tumor, they were like 7 or so yards off.

We've made it in the top ten and state marching contest more than any other band in Texas. We've won 35 straight years of sweepstakes at UIL. We played at Carnagy Hall in New York, Marched in the Bush families innagural parades. We went to Hawaii to march in some big parade and did a memorial concert for the USS ship that is really famous over there. And last but not least, we have won the most awards in every contest we have ever entered. We are a really traditional band.

We're here solely to promote school spirit and help our teams win. We're a very competitive sports school, if you haven't noticed.

You're right, we like to win trophies and stuff mrgreen Something is really cool though, Bush is friends with our band director. During his first innagural parade he addressed Mr Storie by his first name on national television. It was cool. We like to be famous, most Texas 5A bands do.
