Hubert Oswell Strahta Military Lieutenant ♋♋♋♋♋♋♋♋♋♋♋♋♋♋♋♋ Tower of Mana Ruins || Pascal, Zaul
First Aid was a weak healing spell, but Healing Stream sounded promising. "Healing Stream might--" Hubert was immediately silenced when Pascal suddenly seemed to throw herself at the man. He was shocked at first, and his heart may or may not have stopped, but when he noticed she was attempting to feel his ears, Hubert smacked his hand to his head. "Pascal!" The younger bluenette firmly grabbed hold of Pascal's arm and pulled her back, his face red; someone had to express embarrassment. "I'm so sorry about that. Please excuse her behavior. Pascal is a very....She's...." He sighed as he let go of her arm. After getting his mind back in order, Hubert crossed his arms. Instead of trying to explain to their companion, he went on to the next best thing. "Pascal, that was incredibly rude. You can't just go up to people and touch them. We haven't even been introduced for crying out loud." He briefly wondered if she learned anything from when she would constantly try to touch Sophie, but quickly cast that curiosity aside. Considering she still tried to touch her on occasion, it was easy to deduce that she hadn't.
Lloyd was a little shocked as he listened to Dart. The two had a lot in common. Well, except for the whole hometown thing; Lloyd wasn't born in a town at all. At least, he didn't think he was. Maybe he should look into that. This is kind of weird. It's like talking to a reflection in a mirror.Lloyd looked at what Dart had to show him and he immediately tensed. He had an Exsphere? Dart soon told him it was a Dragoon Spirit and Lloyd raised an eyebrow. So....It wasn't an Exsphere. Weird."Can't say I've ever heard of something called a Dragoon Spirit. What are they?"His attention went to Ichi when the kid spoke. He really did seem unfazed by how Issun had hit him. It sounded like it should have really hurt."No, not really. I mean, I go to the school sometimes still, but I'm not an actual student or anything. But, Raine is still my teacher. I can't imagine calling her anything else."As Lloyd spoke, he turned to head to Raine's house. He noticed Noishe blocking the path and sweat-dropped. Lloyd forgot he was there."Don't worry, Noishe. I'll go say hi to Dad as soon as these guys are taken care of. You don't have to hover."Noishe barked before running off. Shaking his head with a soft smile, Lloyd gestured for the others to follow him."Their house is this way. Come on."

Upon hearing where the other group was, Richard blinked. That was actually really close."This guy's so friendly.""Really? I think he's great."Richard dealt with more than a few unsavory types on a daily basis back in Barona. Hiei was actually a refreshing person; he didn't disguise his disinterest and rudeness like the others did. He was blunt with it. When Hiei removed the headband, Richard was only able to tilt his head as he was left speechless. Asbel's purple eye had nothing on Hiei's third one. Crow suddenly took an interest in it, though he expressed childish curiosities. Richard couldn't stop himself from laughing, but he covered his mouth in a poor attempt to do just that."I'd be more worried about it hurting you if you poked it. Sounds like something called the Jagan Eye would have a few tricks up its sleeve. Err....In its cornea?""...Do all kings dress weird and have awful jokes or is that just you?"Richard's eyes closed partially in annoyance and he looked down at Lambda. As Hiei focused on the other group, Richard knelt and grabbed Lambda's front paws before proceeding to lift the fox so he was standing on his hind legs and made him dance."Hey! I'm not a doll for you to play with!""Sorry. You're just so cute I couldn't resist.""I am not cute either!"Looked like Richard succeeded in annoying the little fox, and it seemed he couldn't handle his own medicine.

After everyone seemed to settle down, Euphie had spent a little time browsing the merchants that had set up shop. She realized that other than the food, she had no idea what any of their medicines or other items were. And, through the power of observation, she was quickly able to deduce poke-dollars wouldn't buy her anything anyway. So, she returned to the dragon herd and sat with Yōsei as the two watched the dragon tamer tend to his animals. Maiagaru took to circling the air above the massive refugee camp to keep an eye out for danger."I hope the gym's okay. And, I wonder where the others we helped are."Particularly Gaius. He had befriended an Absol, and he seemed to have experience with taming "monsters" as the people here called her Pokemon.

It wasn't unlike her to be grabby when meeting someone. If only Hubert saw the first time she met Sophie, but that is a story for another time. Taking Hubert's words to heart, she spun around to the towering elf. "I'm Pascal and this is Hu, nice to meet ya! Can I touch your ears?" Her cheerful greeting was met with a pair of grabby mitts, a common stance for Pascal.

Seishin smiled and his tail wagged at Solaire's gratitude, though more so he could show he acknowledged his words of thanks. But, he did love it when he knew he did something good. Watching as Temmie was hit the ground, Seishin's ears perked as he prepared to cast Frigid Rain in order to contribute to the actual battle. However, his arte was interrupted when Temmie suddenly began to roll towards them with its legs whipping around wildly. The creature was absolutely terrifying. He moved out of the way, but was immediately distracted when someone suddenly spoke to him. He knew that weird little echo. "Oh! Someone I can talk to~!" Having completely forgotten about the battle, Seishin failed to notice he was still within fleshy whip range and was only made aware when he was struck across the face. Letting out a pained yelp, Seishin immediately ran out of range. Azura told them to use fire and Seishin, one eye stuck in an infinite blinking state, raised his staff as he cast Fireball at their opponent. Once he cast his spell, the single large ball of flame shooting its way towards Temmie, Seishin rubbed his eye as his ears dropped to press against head. It didn't naturally occur to him to use Healer on himself as it had when Solaire was injured. That hurt. Now I know why Lady Maxwell is always telling me to never let my guard down.

Nia Teppelin Former Anti-Spiral Messenger ══════════════════════════ Location: A desert |Company: Two strangers
Nia wasn't entirely sure what was going on. One second she was almost being cut with a knife and the next there was a boy biting into the man's shoulder, She was at a complete loss for words and felt a little sick at the sight. At least his assault distracted the thief and gave Nia the opportunity to run. Of course, she couldn't just leave these two to fight. That would be far too cruel; even if they did seem to be protecting her. But, she really didn't know what to do. Getting to her feet, Nia saw they were doing fine, but that didn't mean she stopped wanting to help.
Nia immediately began digging in the sand for something to use as a weapon. She managed to dig up what looked like a rusted dagger. It was better than nothing. When she attempted to pick it up, she found it was held tightly in the skeletal remains of a hand. "I'm sorry, but I have to burrow this." When she went to pry the dagger from the hand, she ended up detaching the arm's lower portion and probably would have screamed or fainted if her adrenaline wasn't so high. Looking back at the thief that was now relentlessly attacking the boy, Nia changed her tactic and simply grabbed the entire bone, hand and all, only to have the radius snap off. That was not what she had in mind, but again; anything was better than nothing at this point.
Settling for what she had in her hand, Nia ran at the thief. A bone probably wouldn't do much to hurt him, but before she could let that worry sink in, she felt something hot form beneath her and looked down. "Ah...! Wait, no, I...!" Not knowing what the odd orange circle was, Nia attempted to run out of it only to find that it seemed to be stuck on her. "What do I do!?" The circle suddenly disappeared and she watched as three balls of fire appeared and shot at the thief. The amnesiac slumped, face expressing nothing but how dumbfounded she was. She couldn't believe what had just happened. Nia wasn't even convinced she was the one that did that.

After some searching, Soul pointed out the girl he wanted to talk to before walking ahead of Maka. Honestly, if he was only going to flirt with her, she was going to Maka Chop him so hard he'd never recover. Following after her partner, Maka was relieved when she saw Soul had stopped to wait for her. "So, why do you want to meet her so badly?""I just thought it was cool she has a dragon. Jealous?""As if. I don't care if you like someone." Soul smirked a bit. "That's a huge relief, Maka. Because, you know, I thought she was really cute." Maka suddenly kicked Soul's knee and crossed her arms, turning away from him. "Ow! Can't you tell when I'm joking yet!?" Maka let out a "hmph" before she continued towards the girl. She stopped when she noticed the weird dog - cat? - thing. "Soul, that's a dog. I think you need to relearn what a dragon is.""Do you ever look up, Maka?" Up? Why would she look up? But, upon doing so, she did indeed see a dragon flying around. "Oh, shut up." Maka followed Soul as he approached the girl. "Yo."
Maiku kept his gaze trained on the thief, waiting for him to attack. He could end him easily with Tempest Slash, but he could also attack both the thief and the scorpion with one of Mother Moon's ice attacks. Mabufudyne would probably finish them both off with ease. As he thought, the thief started to slash at him. He managed to dodge most of the attacks, though his outer shirt wasn't so fortunate. Before he could get out his Evoker, the weapon-less girl suddenly did something and attacked the man with spheres of fire. It bought him a few seconds, but the thief turned and began charging for the girl who was just as surprised by her attack as Maiku was. Looked like his mind was made up for him. Taking out his Evoker, Maiku brought it to his head and pulled the trigger. "Mabufudyne!" Spires of ice shot from the ground and engulfed both enemies. They didn't seem all that strong, though the fire attack had barely even singed the dagger-wielding man. Either way, Mother Moon's attack was enough to end the battle. Maiku leaned forward and took a breath.

Not taking his eyes from the books he had gathered, the Shinigami appeared to be completely unaware of being stared it. He wasn't, of course; Byakuya was simply used to the sensation. Stares were a daily thing for him. As a captain and the head of his clan, people were always prone to stare in awe or envy. So, at first, he completely ignored the feeling. However, he quickly realized that no one around him was from Soul Society and that peaked his interest. Looking up from the book slightly to scan the room, he spotted a brown-haired woman looking at him. Though her attire wasn't at all that remarkable, it was enough to make her stand out. It was far too risky to assume she was in a similar situation to him, but he would soon find out why she was staring at him. Standing, Byakuya met her gaze for only a couple of seconds before using shunpo to disappear from where he was currently standing and appear behind her. His hand gripped the hilt of his Zanpakutō as he spoke to her. "Is there a reason you're staring at me?"

Was this Karma punishing for not stocking up on panacea bottles in Kanbalar before she left? Returning the pistols to their holsters, Elle pulled the sledgehammer from the strap on her back and glared at the scorpion. "Out--!" Elle's arte was interrupted when ice shot up and engulfed the scorpion. That was the end of that. Returning the hammer to its strap, Elle turned to look at the other two. "That wasn't so hard." Of course, now that the adrenaline of battle wasn't distracting her, the poison became much more obvious. She could make it to town, right? Surely they had an antidote or something Elle could use to treat herself. "There's a town just east of here. We should....We should probably head there if we want to avoid anymore monsters." This poison was different than the poison back home. Stronger for some reason. Maybe it was the fact that her body had built up a semi-immunity to the kinds she was used to being inflicted with.

So it would seem that mystery behind the shadows have yet to be solved, though it didn't change Aeris' mind with wanting to help as much as she could. There was no telling that whatever was causing them may also affect other worlds as well. "This will be a long journey ahead of us then, and I'll look forward to learning more about your world as well." She said to Emil. Sorry, Cloud. I hope you and the others can hold on without me for a while longer. She thought to herself. Perhaps she might find her companions along the way. Her gaze then shifted over to Rin when she asked Sesshomaru about Materia. The silver-haired male didn't seem all that interested, even when she explained about it to him and Emil earlier. "Do you remember those orbs I was showing earlier that were attached to my rod?" She asked Rin. "Those were Materia. They allow the user to use magic, summon, or enhance their abilities. In my world, there is a flow of spiritual energy coarsing within it called the Lifestream. It contains not only the essence of the Planet, but also the memories, knowledge, and emotions of all who had lived on it. When condensed, it becomes Materia. There's alot to explain, but I don't mind telling you more if you're interested as well, Rin."
As they arrived at the mansion, Aeris gazed at it for a moment until she heard Rin's comment about Emil's friend living in a castle. She couldn't help but smile from the little girl's deduction. "Not exactly. It's a mansion, but you're close." She said. "I've been to a couple of mansions during my travels with my friends." She thought about when she and her companions visited the Shinra Manor in Nibelhiem as well as their first meeting with Vincent. The other mansion that came into mind was Don Corneo's, though the memory that stood out more from it was Cloud having to dress up like a woman to get inside. Aeris then looked over to Emil when he asked for them to wait outside. "Sure, I don't mind at all." She smiled then looked back to Rin. "Rin, I'm curious about something. What exactly is your relationship between you and Sesshomaru? Is he your father figure?" From what she had notice, Sesshomaru is really protective and fond of the child. She can tell that Rin brings out the best in the silver-haired male like with Marlene and Barret.

Lost deep in his mediations Lutz didn’t notice the rise and fall of sound outside as he channeled the mana he had absorbed into his wounds, the fox breathed out slowly; feeling a great sense of peace as his flesh mended itself and discomfort ebbed from his body.
Lutz had lost track of time’s passage when he heard someone approaching, his eyes flared a bright blue for an instant as he opened them to behold a blue vixen “is there something I can do for you?” he asked calmly
It would seem that Rin did not understand the term 'father figure'. Aeris shook her head softly. "Not exactly what I meant. A father figure is someone you look up to who is like a father towards you. With how protective and caring Sesshomaru was towards you, it gave me the impression that he is a like a father." She said with a small smile, which would then fade into a frown. She looked at Rin with a look of sympathy in her emerald green eyes. "Though I am sorry to hear about the loss of your family. I've lost my parents when I was a little girl as well." She smiled to Rin as she watched the little girl run off to play with a dog. Her gaze then shifted over to Sesshomaru. "So how did you and Rin meet?"

Rhone Craft and Solaire of Astora ══════════════════════════ Location: Open field | Company: Someone from here? I think? Also someone decidedly...not. Plus a summon spirit...thing (Kratos, Azura, Seishin.)
Solaire, without hesitation, runs up to Seishin and places his shield in front of them both.
"Are you uninjured?"
He looks behind him at Seishin. Even through his completely closed helmet, it was still somehow apparent that he was smiling warmly at the child.
The fire attacks launched by Kratos and Seishin collide and cause an explosion of flame that sets fire to Temmie's backpack. The creature leaps back as a loud screech emanates from the pack. Within moments, the strap holding it in place begins to move as the pack falls off, revealing the strap to be attached to a silver-hilted sword with a blue eye in the center of the hilt and a red blade. The eye widens as the wrap unwinds, revealing itself to be a cloth hand attached to the pommel and the living sword starts swinging wildly around, barely holding on to Temmie, who stretches up into the air again. With every swing of the blade, slashes appear in the air and rain down upon the party, like some sort of automated tem-turret. Solaire continues holding his shield up as the randomly-fired blades occasionally hit his shield. Rhone narrowly dodges a few blades on his way to a large boulder he uses for cover.
"Guys! I think if we can separate the two, this will be a lot easier! I have a really dumb idea that might work, but I need a distraction. Something to keep it from firing any blades my way!"
Kratos Aurion and Azura Cantarella The Traitor to Heaven and the Wolf of Azure Shadow ══════════════════════════ Location: Open Field | Company: Rhone, Solaire, Seishin
After seeing Seishin take a rather hard hit to the head, Kratos made his way toward the two while dodging the living sword's air blades. Once he was beside the fox child, he quickly cast First Aid to ease the sting across his face and any probable ache at the neck.
Azura practically grinned ear to ear as the "backpack" unraveled and revealed its true, familiar form to her. Then, at hearing Rhone's request, she nodded and replied with a succinct "Gotcha," before maneuvering her way to the other three. I'm kinda gonna regret trashing my collection like this, though...ah well, it'll be a reason to return to that world, she thought along the way.
Once having regrouped with the other three, she combined ice magic with Improbability Sphere to create a shielding dome that encased all of them. It was transparent and actually didn't look like it was going to last very long, but it would buy her enough time to issue her plan.
"Listen, that living sword thing? I'm pretty sure one of its base instincts is to avoid capture at all costs. Here's the deal—Kratos? Those pretty wings of yours are flight-capable, right?"
"Yes, they are."
Azura took out from within her coat two dark blue velvet pouches and handed one to Kratos. Then she took out what appeared to be some kind of tiny ball device; half blue with red markings, half white, with a black band going around it and a white button at the front. "These are capture devices from that creature's world. You gotta press this to activate—" she pressed her thumb on the button and with a click, the ball nearly tripled in size, filling her whole hand, "—then you try to throw them at the creature. Simple as that. I'm pretty sure it's still energetic enough to destroy them, but capture's not really our main objective here."
Kratos nodded, understanding the implication that he was to fly up and distract the creature with these devices. "But Azura, how are you going to get up there?"
She grinned. "Don't sweat that, I got another trick up my coat. Time your throws carefully, though...we've each only got eight shots." Then she turned to the other two. "Now, Solaire? Seishin? While you're down here, dodge and shield yourselves as much as you can, but also try to fire off as many projectiles as you can at it. Doesn't matter if it misses or intercepts with its own attacks. We're trying to make it forget Rhone's there for a bit."
Azura would conclude asking if everyone's clear, but the icy shield over their heads finally shattered into fine, frosty dust. "Welp! It's now or never!"
Kratos immediately released his wings and took to the air. At first, he let the living sword creature turn its attention and throw some attacks toward him. He'd shield and dodge, waiting for Azura to make her way up, deciding it was wiser to work out a tandem pattern between them.
Azura took out from her coat what appeared to be a thick black wand with a cumbersome device of white metal mounted atop it. Set in the device was an absurdly large blue gemstone. After pressing a button at the butt of the wand, it actually extended to the length of an average staff, and the gemstone started to levitate. Then it went alight with a blue energy flame seemed to fan out into shape of the bristles of a broom. When she set the device horizontally, its function was more apparent—it looked a lot like it was supposed to be a futuristic version of a witch's flying broomstick. And indeed, Azura mounted herself atop it and took off.
Once at Kratos' level at the opposite side, she nodded at him and readied a ball device. Then the two of them pitched at the living sword creature at the same time.

((If my description of the flying broomstick item wasn't very good, it`s this thing.))
