"أتكلم لغة أخرى أيضا" Ian bellowed, over the sudden onset of Russian and gave the two young men and Quinn a sparkling smile.

"See, I can do it too," he said. "Now, the real question is - what the hell are we even doing with these things because really I just want to get back to eating."

"Did... ya'll just call me a girl?" Otto narrowed his eyes at Stormy, a blonde brow twitching angrily.

And then gale had to point out that part too.

"Okay, s-seriously, ya'll need to shut yer traps. I already wanna puke, yer makin' it worse." At least this was distracting him from the overly happy to serve wait staff.

Offering a shrug of genuine uncertainty to Melvin, Mimsy put her hand back on the door before frowning at Lucky, then Kostya shortly thereafter.

" Нет...больше Русский," she quietly said, lamenting the amount of energy that it took to slowly translate everything. "Please."

Then, to Lucky: "Is he your comrade?" She already knew the answer to that one, but it might get them to stop arguing. Maybe.

There was another hysterical shriek of Russian from across the room: "это не время для проклятый проклятый поэзии!"*

Kostya glanced sidelong at Mimsy, then at Polish Guy, then heaved a deep sigh.

"No more."

He would not comment on the poetry jab. He would not.

It wasn't the first time he heard the unique language from the other man, but it definitively woke the Frenchman from his reverie, blinking up to the man. "A lot of things 'ave 'appened and I am confused."

Gotta be honest.

"That's a shame, Patches . . . I'll make a movie night for you," she suggested, her eyes trained on the ghost waiters.

Well at least until Gale pointed out the coupling part. Then she broke eye contact to laugh a little.

"I was calling you a pirate queen~" Stormy corrected Otto airily. "Which is a great rank to be on the ship! But if you feel sick, I have some water." In the glass on the table by the waiters. "Or take deep breaths and look at one place, sometimes that helps."

She was following her own advice, her palms already getting sweaty even though she was doing her very best to look pretty calm.

"Besides, I'm sure they mean well . . ."

"Eating dinner, giant monster, reversal of time, zombie waiters, spoiled dinner," said Ian, Cliffnoting the whole version very helpfully for Dorian. "And lots of miscommunication, methinks."

The waiter just stood there patiently as he was, quite effectively, cleaved in almost two even parts. His head, clacking on the ground, started up at the half-severed area, surrounded by ribs. Each of the ribs slowly dissolved into large centipedes, crawling up the waiter's skeletal body to reform again. He picked up his head.

CLANK.

And then, almost too conveniently, the lights went out again.

Instead of being dark, it was grey. Instead of being entirely black, hundreds of red eyes stared back. The waiters, the guest, the rest of the crew. The doors were barricaded now. Even the ship itself began to flicker, one moment bright lights and fine dining, the second tattered capes and howling winds and-

- "Are you sure?" the waiter's head on the floor said, as he picked himself up and placed it back onto his forehead with a light click. "Are you sure you don't want anything else? We are professionals at our job."

"Please stay a bit longer."

"We mean no harm."

"Would you like something else to order?"

And yet they moved closer, surrounding the table. There was no mistaking their appendages now, slightly seeping at the ends, the black sockets of nothingness representing their eyes and then red, just red, staring right at them, hundreds of red.

All of them moved closer.

"You can stay as long as you want, really."

A little closer. -

- And then was interrupted as literally, the barricaded side doors burst open, or smashed open, skeletal revenants and wood splinters flying all directions as one massive, claw-shaped appendage stuck itself into the opening. A second, and then a third formed equally large holes before the entire wall broke down, revealing the other side of the dining hall.

The insects gushed in first, black and reds, skittering all directions, mandibles and claws searching for contact. Feet, hands, legs, clothing, tables, they didn't differentiate, as hundreds, thousands of them dribbled from the figure taking up the entire grand hall.

To be fair, both the Death and Life leads looked about as pissed off at each other as the boss, taking a personal time out from their little scuffle with each other to address the (not really, but possibly) slightly bigger issue at hand. Another long leg burst from the creature's chest, shifting into claws, shifting into bugs that dropped off all directions-

- Which the Death lead cleaved in two, and then conveniently moved away when they started to reform into thousands of spiders. Really, they should have seen that trick coming.

The entire boat groaned, it shook, and then absurdly enough the ceiling above them collapsed, as more insects poured in.

"THIS IS MY BOAT." That would be the captain, or perhaps the creature speaking. He bellowed, the boat shook some more, and it was possible that the Hunters would be washing thousands of squirming insects out of their hair for weeks to come. "YOU WILL NOT TAKE ITS HEART. IT BELONGS TO THIS SHIP."

Well at least it gave more of a reason as to why the leads were sort of doing this infighting thing.

Unfortunately that was about as much time any Hunter had to recover before everything pretty much found them at once, waiters, insects - thankfully the Captain seemed engaged with the three leads, joined quickly by Allan and Edith - who while they could go all out, also had to mind the fact that they were indeed on a boat and sinking was usually a bad thing ghost ship or not.

The rest however, had more than enough to contend with.

OOC

FINAL BOSS FIGHT, VERSUS THE CAPTAIN (AND HIS CREW)

Please note, regardless of all good intentions, the battle will cause ship damage. At the end of the battle, the ship will begin to SINK. We hope your character knows how to swim... There are several elements you need to consider. HP IS RESET FROM THE START.
- THIS IS GOING TO BE A CRAZY FIGHT SO PLEASE QUOTE YOUR TARGET. Post in your OOC your damage/healing/ defense done and the OOC HP of the boss just like last round!

gaia_crown [ POISON INSECTS: ]
At any point, if you take more than 20 damage will start to poison you. At this point, all your damage modifiers, after you have taken more than 20 damage will become -10 instead of the usual -6. So if you are a trainee, you are now rolling 2d6-10. This condition can only be cured using the division bonuses below.

gaia_crown [ STEP 1: THE MOBS ]

The mobs, a combination of insects and crew, are more plentiful than actually harmful. The crew members, skeletal, mostly just talk about how they really wish you would consider staying or ordering something else.
- You must clear 3 waves of mobs before getting to THE BOSS. In order to do this, roll your attack dice. Every time you DO DAMAGE, you clear one wave. You take 2 damage per attempt, hit or miss.

gaia_crown [STEP 2: THE BOSS 600/600 HP ]

exclaim DON'T FORGET TO IMMEDIATELY EDIT THE HP OF THE BOSS SO OTHERS KNOW exclaim
- Please note: You must clear 3 waves of mobs in order to get to the boss. (see above). Once you have cleared, you are the boss round. The boss is EXTREMELY OVERSIZED. He has limbs that automatically regenerate and will spawn hundreds of insects. He does 5 auto damage a round. It makes everything CROWDED.
- Attack proceeds as normal: artifacts and Runic weapons are allowed. HP is reset at the beginning of the battle thanks to that food you ate, it's a good thing you ate it eh?
- You want to get OUT OF THE WAY of the division leaders. They will occasionally give bonuses, but if you get in their way it will only spell trouble for you.

BOSS DEBUFFS AND BUFFS :

- All Hunters prior to attacking THE BOSS EACH TURN must roll a 10-sided dice. Match your roll with the buffs and debuffs below. This effect is effectively immediately on your following dice attack roll. Ie. You are at boss turn. You roll a 10. Match the result, rp it out as you wish, and then roll your attack dice. Now roll a 10-sided dice again. Now match the result and roll your attack dice. So on so forth.

Rolling 1: Your attack nearly hits the Death lead (Caelius). He is pissed, you see a sort of not quite sane gleam in his eyes.... You go sprawling and take - 10 auto damage your next turn.

Rolling a 2: You manage to discover just for a bit that following Caelius is pretty much the safest route - until he kicks you out of his path. You take 0 auto damage for at turn, though it says nothing for your ego.

Rolling a 3: The Life lead (H) is exasperated at your attempt to help him as you nearly hit him. He mutters some mildly chastising words, you turn around and stare- your damage modifier drops to -10 for your next attack roll.

Rolling a 4: You manage to actually do your job, and the Life lead takes notice. You get a bandage that heals you for +5 HP.

Rolling a 5. The Sun lead (Allan) shouts loudly and delivers a loud blast, followed by an extremely flashy name like BANKAI GETSUGA BLASTER TEN THOUSAND MAGICAL BLINDING ATTACKING unfortunately blinding you. You are cannot attack for one round.

Rolling a 6. The Sun lead shouts encouraging words, something about nakama and kokoros and Pocky and heart of the cards, moving with you to deliver a blast. It's super effective! Your attack does double damage

Rolling a 7. The Moon lead (Edith) shouts about you not getting all up in her shenanigans and actually minding where they fight! You feel properly chastised as your charged attack tally drops by one.

Rolling a 8. The Moon lead is impressed with your work and takes a second to shout to you about keeping up the good work. The boost in morale does wonders, and so does her shield which protects you from damage, allowing you to at least get a charged attack in there. You get +1 charged attack tally bonus, so if you were at 1/3, it is now 2/3 until a charged attack.

Rolling a 9. The Mist lead (Aria) is shouting at you. Yes YOU! Did you notice that they were in formation? What were you up to? Where is the rest of your division? She doesn't really want to take responsibility for you at the moment but hastily shoves you away from getting stomped. The move however, causes you to end up back in the waves. You have to fight three waves of mobs to end up back at the boss again.

Rolling a 10. The Mist lead doesn't quite say anything, but she nods grimly, using her weapon to freeze a wave of enemies. You sense that she's telling you to go for it. YOU HAVE NO DAMAGE MODIFIER FOR THIS TURN. That means your attack does straight on that damage.

DIVISION BONUSES:
- Death Hunters: Evasion bonus allows you to take -3 instead of -5 damage from the boss. Full Death Hunters take -2.
- Life Hunters: Roll 2d12 to heal yourself in battle or another target. You can only do this once. Full Life Hunters roll 2d20.
- Sun Hunters: Attack boost: Your attacks do CRITICAL DAMAGE (x2) if you roll two of the same dice in succession (2, 2, 4, 4, etc). Full Sun Hunters can do also critical damage x2 when they hit under 10 HP.
- Moon Hunters: Status heal: Heal one Hunter of their poisoned status effect. Full Moon Hunters are immune to poison.
- Mist: Mimic: If you are a trainee roll 1d6. If even, you successfully copied an ability. Otherwise if you are a full Mist Hunter simply choose any of the abilities above.

Saya sat there, patting Sin on the head, as he hid behind her chair.

She could hear everyone's shocked discoveries and even saw Otto faint out of the corner of her eye but there was a certain relief in glancing around at other horrified hunters. The food remained untouched, like the other hunters who might have been actively attempting to spit out the food.

Saya could have been so petrified, to the point, that it seemed as if being in a room full of zombie or ghostly existences didn't disturb her.

Or Saya actually had nerves of steel, regarding them as something similar to fear creatures, that they fought all the time. No problem.

Or she thought that their smiling faces were still safe, regardless of the ipad's shocking view.

Or she thought they were all going to expire on the ship.

Or she thought Allan surely had a solution for this, because there had to be some anime plotline with this, with some sort of solution.

All of these possibilities were written on a napkin, with the sudden appearance of al pen, as Saya tried to figure out what to do.

......

.......

And then the insects came.

All those solutions out of the window.

"Pennies, Gale, Otto." Ofelia summoned up Rue and looked at the group. "Now might be a good time ta tell ya that Ah dunno how ta swim, an' if this boat goes down Ah will drown." There was no joking in her voice and the look on her face was dead serious. As her fists flexed inside her weapon she gave one glance back to the monster before looking at them again.

"Please don't let me die."

So then the redhead was ready, very ready. It was time to attack and dish damage and find a way home.

And hopefully not drown.

Gale gave a deadpan look to Otto get it deadpan get it and said, "What? You don't think you're good enough for me? Why Otto, I'm touched you think so highly of me."

He may or may not have been smirking slightly. Gale reached out to take Stormy's hand again -

- just as everything began to grow darker and darker. Gale felt a sense of growing panic well in his throat, and he was gripping Stormy's hand so tightly his knuckles were white, backing up several steps.

<< Uh, now might be a good time to - >>

The ring on Gale's free hand began to glow softly and a second later the rifle was summoned, the skeletal beings closing in on them, and there was a definite sense of claustrophobia in the air -

- and then insects and more insects and oh he was going to be so violently ill after this.

His face a ghastly shade of white, Gale dropped Stormy's hand, looking as though he might follow in Otto's footsteps and collapse right then and there on the floor.

No no no no no no NO -

There was an explosion of gunfire, thankfully all directed at the multitude of swarming insects, Gale's shouts hardly audible over it.

"We should have started hitting them sooner." It was all he said to Kat as Sylvia flashed into his hands before spinning once overhead pointing finally towards the waves of bugs and skeletons.

Thankfully he wasn't a live witness to Julie. It was before his time, but he was sure he would be done with bugs long after this cruise was over.

As if to prove his point further to Kat he went to move forward only to get shoved back against a table when a wave of bugs lashed out at him.

"Getthemoffgetthemoff!"
