Constance rolled her eyes and grinned at Lorcan. A slight blush had crept over her cheeks at his comment. She was happy to see him pull Cassandra close. To her, they always seemed to be right for each other. She was glad they had finally admitted it. Cassandra smiled up at Lorcan, her arm wrapping around his waist. Although she hated the fact that Constance had been shot at, and they hadn't been told, Stonelily was right. They had managed to escape unscathed each time. "Hmm, supper at the Abbey," she said as she tugged Lorcan in the right direction. "I can't wait.'"I could go for some food," Merida said as she turned to follow after Cassandra and Lorcan.

Stonelily grinned as she watched Cassandra, Lorcan, and Merida head on towards the Abbey. "`Bout time she found a good mate; she was withdrawn before," she muttered. Merrick shifted his shoulders. He noticed Jess glancing up in the trees as a couple of them shifted slightly as they shifted into a light jog to catch up with the others in time to hear Hobbs complimenting Merida; he knew the others wouldn't get the reference, though he knew he did and wasn't sure about Cassandra getting the reference to the old adder. "When Hobbs refers to 'Poisonteeth', he's referring to an old adder that used to roam around here... imagine a snake as big as a bus and about three times as long, and you'd have Asmodeus Poisonteeth; more than a few goodbeasts died to that old snake," he said quietly. He himself had nearly been caught by the old snake, hence he could compare its size to things he knew the others would recognize. -_-_-_-_-_-
-_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán walked alongside Cassandra. "It's pretty obvious from the way you, Merrick, and Hobbs talk about it the food is rivaling Mariamma's or Constance's," he said quietly. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs tilted his head as he looked down at Merida. "No doubt most humans think because of your small height compared to say, me, that you aren't dangerous. I can see that you may look harmless, but you'd probably scare off ol' Poisonteeth," he said wryly. Jess tilted her head, but remained quiet.

Cassandra indeed knew who poisonteeth was and she grinned. Oh yeah, Merida could most likely scare him off. She had a violent temper sometimes, which meant trouble for anyone she was mad at. All in all though, Merida was a good person, a good friend...a good guardian. Cassandra glanced over to where Constance walked with Merrick. It was still hard to believe the girl was her niece. Still hard to believe that her mother had blocked her memories of her brother, and he had never said anything to her. Oh how she wanted to say something to Constance, but it still wasn't a good time. Right now was a time to relax before they begun training. Constance didn't need more on her mind than she already had. When Lorcan spoke Cassandra looked up at him and smiled. "It is good, but I think they are about the same. Just wait and see." Merida looked up at Hobbs with surprise when he complimented her. She wasn't used to compliments. When Merrick explained who and what Poisonteeth was she grinned. "Sure I could scare him off. I have me one violent temper sometimes and I don't back down." She nodded as they all continued to walk.

Merrick shrugged his shoulders slightly, his gaze scanning around cautiously. "Trust me, I have no doubt the Warbeaks would like her; I know I'm fond of her kinda like a cousin," he said with amusement; he knew Cassandra would know about the Warbeaks and Sperra, as the sparrow had been friends with Cassandra when they were here previously, though he wondered where they were now nor had he known of the connection between Cassandra and himself as godmother-godson. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi leaped out of the trees, hanging inverted from one of the thicker overhead braches that spanned over the path as she grinned. She saw Lorcan jerk when he saw her. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán hummed low in his throat, thoughtful. "Interesting," he said quietly. Lorcan jerked in surprise when he saw the vulpine face of Kasumi, her fur a deep golden amber with black undertones and crimson hair, hanging a few feet overhead; he noticed with interest that she seemed to stick to the underside of the branch as if glued to it or magnetized to it. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs shrugged. He had no doubt of that. Jess shifted her weight, amused as she loped a few paces ahead.

Kaosujin Ryu lol can't look at link just yet...replying from phone Ah the Warbeaks. Of course they would like her. Cassandra felt Lorcan jerk with surprise and she turned to follow his gaze. Her eyes landed on Kasumi and she grinned. It seemed the other woman was having a good time here so far. She was glad. She then glanced over at Merida, seeing the thoughtful look on her face. "Go ahead Nala, run ahead," Amelia said softly. "But don't be doing anything that will get you into trouble." She grinned as her familiar meowed, gave a flick of her tail and took off. As she did Carolyn moved closer to Amelia, and she gratefully placed her hand on Carolyn's arm. Merida pushed her hair behind her ears as they walked. She wondered what had caused Hobbs to give her such a compliment. It was nice, something she wasn't used to.

Merrick tilted his head as Kasumi somersaulted off of the branch and landed in a crouch behind Lorcan and Cassandra, facing their backs. "Don't worry so much, Merida; they tend to compiment people a lot here, regardless of whether its usually deserved or not," he said with amusement. He tilted his head fractionally as Haname darted after Nala, almost landing on the feline familiar with a yip of teasing. Merrick shifted his weight subtly, bumping Constance teasingly as they reached a turn in the path, the large abbey finally becoming visible as they were on a fairly sized hill above a long straight path. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi blinked as she saw the large abbey, impressed at the size. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán sighed as Kasumi landed behind them, but didn't say anything. "So from what it seems, weasels for the most part are not friendly," he said quietly. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs shifted his weight slightly. "Nor are stoats, ferrets, foxes, and sea rats," he said with a sigh. Jess shrugged. She knew for the most part what Hobbs said was correct, but obviously Kasumi wasn't dangerous despite being able to take a vulpine fox form similar to what they were used to. She personally liked the clothes Kasumi had and was curious as to how she'd gotten them.

Constance stumbled a little when Merrick bumped into her teasingly. She grinned and lightly pushed him against his arm. "No fair taking advantage of me when I am not paying attention." She winked at him. She had been watching Haname and Nala playing around ahead of them. The two seemed totally at home here. "No, they aren't," Cassandra said with a shake of her head. She looked over at Hobbs and then to Kasumi. She was one that they didn't have to worry about. They were friends of hers and Merrick's, so Kasumi wouldn't have any reason to be mean to any of them. They slowed down a little as they large abbey came into few. From what she could see at the moment, not much had changed.

Merrick tilted his head slightly as he saw the Abbey, seeing movement on the wall. "Seems like Song already noticed us," he said thoughtfully, seeing the familiar form of the female anthromorphic mousemaid with a cream white shirt and dark blue vest that set off her honey colored fur well. He recognized the vest, as he'd given it to her himself. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi grinned as she got an idea. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán chuckled. "It could be worse; we could be dealing with humans that are literal giants," he said half jokingly. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs shifted his weight slightly as a low rumbling sound came from the group. Jess just rolled her eyes, well aware of what the rumbling was. She saw the vixen and the feline pause in their play as if startled by the sound.

Constance followed Merrick's gaze, her head tilted to the side. "Who's that?" She asked. She looked around with a frown when she heard the rumbling sound. Where had that come from? Cassandra chuckled and nodded. "I guess we could be, huh?" She gave Lorcan's hand a squeeze. Everyone was taking this world so well, and she was happy for that. And to see old friends again after so long, well that was nice too. She had been so focused on her own world for so long, that she hadn't seen any of the friends she had made here in years. Amelia's head tilted to the side as she listened to the rumbling sound. "What was that," Carolyn asked as she looked around.

Merrick tilted his head fractionally, not all that surprised to hear Hobbs' stomach rumbling."That would be Songesme, one of the mousemaids that have grown up in the abbey, though she was only a few seasons old then," he said with amusement as he saw a squirell much like Jess, though lighter in color whose fur was a deep mahogany shade rather than a deep reddish bronze like Jess'. "And that would be Songbreeze Swifteye; she's skilled with a bow and sling," he said thoughtfully. He noticed that Songbreeze was taller and had on a reddish pink shirt over what seemed to be a dark indigo skirt. He knew that they often did clothing coloring through herbs rather than inks. "That reminds me," he said as he pulled out a handwoven bag roughly a third the size of an average chip bag. He tugged it open to reveal easily three dozen two inch long, half inch thick cakes inside; they were actually made of finely ground mint leaves, honey, and baked acorns. Few people truly knew how to turn what most people saw as useless rubbish like fallen acorns into food though Merrick had practiced it well. The real trick was making sure to draw the bitter tanin out of the acorns; he switched the boiling water out roughly every other hour to do so quickly, usually taking six hours per pound of acorns, which could actually make quite a few honeymint cakes when one knew how to make them. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi's form simply faded from sight as if it were made of early morning mist. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán tilted his head as he noticed both the mousemaid and squirrelmaid. He could tell immediately that the mousemaid couldn't be older than seven or eight, while the squirrelmaid seemed about Constance's age. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs exhaled, the sound slightly rough. "Sorry 'bout that; haven't eaten in a while," he said wryly, seeming embarrassed. Jess shrugged as she started jogging down the hill towards the Abbey itself.

Constance giggled as she realized that it was Hobb's stomach that had made the sound. She grinned at him. "Well then we had better keep going so you can eat something." Her gaze went to Merrick once again when he pulled out the cakes. Just the smell of them was enough to make the mouth water. "When did you do those," she asked with a smile. Merida chuckled softly and shook her head. "Ah don't worry about it," she said as she lightly punched Hobb's in the arm. "My stomach is much worse if I don't eat." She laughed as she followed after Jess. Cassandra had followed the movements of the mousemaid and squirrelmaid. Her gaze then went to Jess and Merida as they made their way towards the abbey. "Come on, let's go," she said with a smile at Lorcan.

Merrick smiled slightly. "Last night before we had gotten our gear ready to head to the motel," he said with amusement. He lightly shook the bag, not surprised to see Hobbs glance back his way as the scent of the cakes was caught by a soft breeze that blew from behind them. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi giggled softly from behind Hobbs as he paused momentarily, trailing her fingers along his broad shoulder playfully as she spoke softly behind Merida, knowing they wouldn't be able to see her as she danced around them. "Trust me when mine gets very vocal," she said softly. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán blinked as he saw Jess spin and grin up towards Merrick as he caught the scent of the cakes as well. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs paused momentarily as he loped along, catching a scent of honey and mint with a slightly nutty undertone. He shivered slightly as he felt fingers brush over his shoulder, knowing it wasn't Jess since she was ahead of them and doubting it was Cassandra, as she had been younger and not all that close to him as a friend. Jess blinked as she too caught the scent and turned around to face the hill, spotting the bag in Merrick's hands as she grinned broadly. "So you made some of your famous cakes you came up with the season before you left, eh?" she said with amusement.

"They smell really good," Constance said as she saw Hobbs look their way as well as Jess. She grinned a little and shook her head. Obviously they liked the cakes that he made. The soft breeze that wafted around them sent her hair flying in her face. She pushed it back out of her eyes. Merida giggled when she heard Kasumi speak. "Yeah, as I recall yours is very loud." She knew the other woman was somewhere behind them, but she didn't look around. Cassandra chuckled softly and shook her head. "Between Merrick and Constance we are going to be very well fed, and a little plumper than normal I believe." She pulled her hair up to keep it out of her face.

Merrick chuckled. "Try one," he said idly, his tone amused as his gaze momentarily flickered skyward, spotting a falcon high overhead. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi tilted her head as she danced close to Jess, her form slowly reappearing as she deliberately unraveled the illusion that had been hiding her. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán tilted his head. "It seems to me that we'll have plenty of food when it comes to coven meetings," he said with amusement. "Heck, if they like the idea, we could start a catering company... though I have a feeling within ten or fifteen years, they'd probably rival Rachel Ray," he said quietly. He carefully didn't mention, but was sure that Cassandra knew as well as he did, that it would most likely take them less time than that to do so. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs grinned as they got closer to the Abbey, commonly known as Redwall for its color. Jess grinned as she saw Kasumi seemingly materialize out of thin air. "Interesting trick," she said thoughtfully.

Constance smiled as she took one of the cakes and bit into it. All the flavors hit her mouth at once, bringing on a wonderful sensation. "Hmm, it's amazing." She said with a big smile. Cassandra nodded slowly as she listened to Lorcan. It was true enough. If they wanted, Merrick and Constance could definitely start their own business and she knew it would be an instant success. They just knew how to make good food. Their efforts seemed to easy. Oftentimes the food came out perfectly the first time. They didn't need to try over and over again to get the right taste or texture. "They would be very successful if they ever decided to open up their own place.""She has a lot of interesting tricks," Carolyn said as she looked over at Jess and Kasumi.
