Holo looked off to the side "Don't you have a child to care for?" she asked as she walked over to the trees. Jumping up into the nearest one, she climbed until she couldn't be seen.

Miki rolled her eyes again. She said loud enough for Holo to hear, "He's made it clear he doesn't want my help, and he doesn't need it." She looked at Damion, thinking about what he said for a few seconds. She then shook her head, "He said those things because he doesn't want you getting hurt."

Holo couldn't help it, after hearing Miki say that, she started laughing. It wasn't a funny laugh, no she sounded like she was insane and needed to be admitted in a mental center. Jumping to a lower branch, Holo smirked "That was a brilliant answer. Nice try though. I don't have gullible tattooed on my forehead."

Miki laughed. She said, "Believe what you want, but it's true. I know my son better than anyone. He probably figures that it's better this way. Almost every girl he's ever cared for has died."

Miki thought for a moment or two, before realizing who Holo was talking about. She said, "Kazumi? It doesn't matter. People in the FireClaw pack can't mate with other members. The only one allowed to mate is the alpha. The penalty for going against that rule is death."

Holo was actually a bit shocked "Really? You'd think those power hungry freaks would want to have little soldiers running around." She shook her head and sighed.

Holo nodded and leaned back. Making an apple she held it out to Miki "Want one?" she asked trying to remember a story she was told as a kid about power hungry person.

Shrugging, Miki grabbed the apple. She took a bite into it, and looked at Holo. She waited for her to say something.

"When I was younger, and my sister wasn't insane, there was a story teller that would come through the village." She started staring out. "It was about bugs, ants no less, and grasshoppers." she chuckled "The grasshoppers pushed around the ants. At the end, the ants ganged up on the grasshoppers, because all of them were stronger than the few of them." Taking a bite into her apple, she thought maybe it would work in this situation but scoffed at her own self idiocy.
