Ignatius Caeser YOU WILL HUNT AND FORAGE FOR YOUR FOOD, EATING WILD POKEMON WILL BE COMPLETELY NORMAL. SUSHI, RICE CAKES, ANYTHING JAPANESE WILL BE AVAILABLE IN POKEMARTS. THEY WILL ATTRACT POKEMON ACCORDING TO WHAT KIND OF FOOD IT IS.
AND SOME ATTACKS CAN HELP.
WATERGUN = FILL CANTEENS, PUT FIRE OUT, WAKE PEOPLE UP, COOL PEOPLE DOWN, YATA YATA EMBER = COOK, LIGHT FIRES, YATA YATA STRING SHOT = HAMMOCKS, CASTS FOR BROKEN BONES, FIXING THINGS, YATA YATA VINE WHIP = COLLECT THINGS HIGH UP, USE VINES TO MAKE THINGS, YATA YATA.
THIS RP IS ALSO ABOUT SURVIVAL. YOU WILL HAVE TO EAT MAGIKARPS AND KRABBIES AND STUFFS. YOUR CAPTAIN GOD HAS SPOKEN. My name is JediKidd, and I approve this message I was always curious on what someone would actually do in this situation. I'm actually excited for this. does that make me a bad person?

Wait a minute; he doesn't have anything besides that one bento box... Are matches and pans available at Pokemarts? Or at least the pan?

Yeah should be. The Manga, Games, and Anime don't mention much about the kind of stuff that involves food, clothes or anything about where they buy the stuff, but since this is a rp(Especially one where they're actually inside of the game) it should pretty much be implied this kind of stuff actually exists. Same goes that the Pokemon can actually die, as seen from Flame(Sapphire)'s post with a Zigzagoon.

Yeah, her post actually showed her Torchic with blood on it's claws. It didn't die or anything, but the blood is self explanatory. The whole thing makes sense since they are in the actual game, and Tajiri's/Prof. Birch's words of warning of needing to stick together, as well as the danger they were going to face.

If Pokémon can die, can they be caught when they faint? In a post, how would you explain a fainted and unconscious Pokémon escaping a Poke Bask? Will a battle be won when the enemy faints or dies? What of Trainers whose Pokémon we inadvertently kill?Wouldn't it break a Trainer's heart to see their beloved partner die? Can Pokémon die of old age? Can starters or other Pokémon of our party die? How would we heal or Pokémon if they suffer grievous wounds?
Also, this is a demo at a convention at a public facility; how can we stay in for many days? Does game nutrition equate to life nutrition?
The last two questions are probably overthought, but the first bunch immediately came up when I reread Iggy's red post here and Flame's RP post. Adding Pokémon death to me feels like a redefinition of the whole policy of battling... I understand the need to survive, but battles were defined in all the games as friendly competition...? Also, no NPC I remember believes in vicious Pokémon, and all do view battles as play.
Some ideas I came across elsewhere that might help the guild: maybe if we need a response from a specific person, we can empty-quote them? And might it be eassier to find day stay and end if it has its own announcement/thread?

How would we heal or Pokémon if they suffer grievous wounds?==== You've got to think of if this was taking place IRL. Pokemon AND people are going to die. In the game, they had Lavender town which has a Pokemon Cemetary and they even said Team Rocket killed Cubone's mother, in the game, they gave the feeling of Red accidently killing Green's Ratticate during a battle. Hell, Giovanni died protecting his son Silver. D: Heart Break's going to happen, it happens all the time. Pokemon can die of old age. Yes your pokemon CAN die. You take them to the Pokemon Center, Nurse Joy has an extensive care unit as seen in the anime. ====Also, this is a demo at a convention at a public facility; how can we stay in for many days? Does game nutrition equate to life nutrition?==== Your body was literally ripped from the real world and put inside the body of the character. The world of Pokemon is real to you. You have to eat, drink, bathe, wash clothes. ====The last two questions are probably overthought, but the first bunch immediately came up when I reread Iggy's red post here and Flame's RP post. They use pokemon for evil things, they will kill useless pokemon, kidnap them, make them do hard things that could cause body damage. This is basing the thought of. "What if's' for Pokemon in Real life. Real life for us is not all rainbows like it is in Pokemon, that's what this rp is based off of. Real people from New York, going into a real world of Pokemon.

Thanks for clearing all that. Is a battle still won when the foe faints, then? And can you catch a fainted Pokémon?

Nintendraw Thanks for clearing all that. Is a battle still won when the foe faints, then? And can you catch a fainted Pokémon? The battle is still won when all foes are fainted. And catching a fainted Pokemon, I guess it would depend on the situation. If the Pokemon fainted from a harmless not deadly sickness or maybe it was already hurt, sure, If your pokemon fainted it. No.

Jedi wished me to inform y'all that they are in the middle of battling the Kracken so he has no interweb at the moment, but he's not going anywhere.
EDIT: I was talking with my nephew and he brought up a good question. Are we having Shiny Pokemon in this or is that something that we are not going to mess with?

Well since all 3 series(Manga, Games, and Anime) all contained Shiny Pokemon (Only shiny I remember seeing in the manga was the red Gyarados) I don't see why we should leave it out. It'll definitely be something of a 1 in X chances though. I'm pretty sure there can be an exception to this, when it comes to special events though(As in those event's like how Red first met Aerodactyl, Gold got Cyndaquil. Basically life-changing I just saved you or you just saved me kind of events. So definitely some big back story on that, unless we're going to replicate the whole chain system from the games)
