As pitiful as it may have been if Pepin really understood the magnitude of the hunters and their position in Halloween, she didn't and thus her whining remained solely as a plea to be able to function again.
"IIIIIIIIII
halloffaemE entrnumber bulbaszzzzzz cruel master repel game restart-"
This time when the blur of pixels spoke it was much more comprehensive. Or was it?
"NEW NEW NEW Game entr name are u boil or ghoul? fly to walk anywhere virdd virdd ciiiiiiityfly walk anywhere walk let me show you how to carrraaapeeeee minimoooooooomonmonmon- a wild you appears fly vird city walk walk surf number x-x-o-x-5-fossil."
For a brief moment she was able to turn her head and looked straight at Before with glowing eyes. Only the noise in them moved still confirming she was quite conscious.
"six six six sixth slot gain x99 ninety nine surf walk your minimon having evoluted into-" And with that a grateful chime played as if congratulating the hunter for their attempt to "save" her.

Zurine tried to fight gainst the net she really did..but it was so very hard and the more she tried to fight the more things hurt and more tired she became. Vaguely she thought she heard someone yelling at them all not to fall asleep - she almost even recognized the voice because it had yelled at her before..but it was in a fuzzy sort of way that didn't fully compute with her tired mind.
She knew that her friends were hurting and in trouble - and even if she had only met them a couple times she did consider them friends...but it just didn't feel like there was anything she could do about it at the moment, nothing but maybe try and conserve what little energy she did have left..wait for the right moment since fighting seemed so terribly pointless right now. She'd fall unconscious if she kept up fighting. Coming to this conclusion Zurine whined and curled up in a ball within the net. It might look like she was giving up but she wasn't..she was just waiting.

Perhaps the last thing the trainees were expecting were expecting was their esteemed mission leader walking with four monstrosities right next to him as if they were tamed animals. And not just any animal, but the Horsemen: several of the trainees remembered very much how Caelius had treated them during the battle with Red. So why now, the odd change of heart?
The answer was in the look the Death Hunter gave the Horsemen, a sort of expectant, waiting expression as the Heirs saw the nets of fallen students and the rows of red - the hooded figures - that stood freely next to them. There was no other time to speculate further. "You are dismissed trainees, I will see you back in the usual room." As per usual, no thank-you's, pat on the backs, or even a nod of acknowledgement for a job well done. Considering how the last mission had gone, validation that this current one had been a success would have been almost priceless for some trainees.
He waited for the last of the trainees to move their golems back to their hiding places and log off before addressing the forcefully docile Heirs, weapon lowered, scythe blade resting, perching almost against one of the fallen students - it was hard to tell who it was, their expression peaceful as they rested. The Horsemen had seen the Death Hunter pull this trick before: a weapon in close contact with a Fear creature had the ability to drain it of their Fear, eliminating them entirely. It was a threat if they did not behave.
"Now, after you." Caelius nodded to the podium in the clearing as it flickered for a second, and reassembled into an open black door. A hidden portal back to the Human World. As the Heirs walked, he began to scatter the nets, effectively releasing the bargaining chips, several unconscious on the ground, unable to flee. "I only require a moment of your time in your assistance. When you get back to your home you can reconfirm yourself that everyone is... unharmed. I promise."
Summary so far - In the outskirts of the gym, students encountered an odd figure cloaked in red, eerily similar to the secret ceremony held by some of the students post Red's death. They seemed to somehow personally know a couple of students, luring them out of school grounds and into the trap where the Hunter trainees awaited, on the very grounds where there had been a ceremony of the late professor. All the trainees are currently wearing red cloaks, despite looking like creatures from Halloween themselves. The trainees are using nets to capture the students, however several of the students have also followed the perpetrator Caelius, including the horsemen, towards another location. Currently all students and trainees stationed here are locked in battle and cannot run or flee, almost all students have been trapped, and the effects of the barrier around them growing more painful by the second... The entire setup was a bargaining chip against the Horsemen, as they are for some reason asked to come with Caelius back to the Island, with the promise that they would return safely after questioning. As for the students... OOC HORSEMEN:- Apparently Caelius has promised that they will return safely, whether or not they will return is one question, but it seems indeed he has kept his end of the bargain, the "truce", and is waiting on the Horsemen's turn - Feel free to rp a reaction post as they exit the the thread and head into the door hereHUNTERS:- Caelius is not feeling that chatty unfortunately, so they better head back and log out. Simply exit the thread, and post back in the classroom HERE where there will be a final closing post, a chance for follow up PRPS/ mission PRPS and of course, rp points distribution STUDENTS:- Perhaps some of you were conscious enough to see the horsemen leave with a strange white-coated figure, but you are too tired to move or even speak during the exchange as the horsemen exit: the aftereffects of the nets and the Fear barrier has drained you of almost everything. - Now that the nets are gone, and the Fear barrier deactivated, some of the students might also awake to consciousness, able to look around, struggle, too weak to stand up quite yet. There is only one person standing there, but they seem to just be waiting more than anything else

Marcus looked at their leader with shock. What the hell- this... He was flat out confused as ********. Why were the horsemen just.. why were they not fighting? Looking at the dogs he'd trapped, he glared. "One day we'll put you mutts out of your misery." Walking off into the shadows, Marcus found his spot, and quietly logged off.

Dismissed? Hm. That was strange. Madison's brow furrowed (and that felt kind of weird, given the horn on her golem's forehead), but she nodded in acknowledgement. Before she turned to leave, to let her golem drop into pieces somewhere that it hopefully would never be found, she grinned toothily at the pretty little freaks, all wrapped up like Christmas presents.
The grin had nothing of kindness and everything of <******** you all, we win in it. And she turned a bit of that in the flaming horse-b***h's direction too before sauntering off into the forest to 'log off'.

Cass didn't exactly seem thrilled when Caelius returned with the four Horsemen in tow, her expression serious in the golem. But no, it seemed they would be the only trophies for that day, even their netted prizes left to the elements. She made a point to not fuss, however, fully aware that Caelius was not a kind master and would likely do something horrible to her if she were to rebel against him.
"Yes sir." she answered to him, sighing deeply even as she moved out of the clearing before she exited her golem. She punched Davey and Before on the shoulders lightly as she passed them. "See you on the other side." she bid, her only 'farewell' to anybody.=== He seemed disgusted to see how many of their numbers had been captured by the humans - they really did work disgustingly well in numbers, he hadn't been lying when he'd spoken of such things to their currently failing army. However, the most burning glances spent were after the trainees in red as they retreated away. Typical, to flee like that, but perhaps for the better.
If they had lingered, Invictus would have personally started dismantling the golems out of rage, his eyes narrowing as he seethed in disgust. He'd have to beat a fear into all of these fallen students when he returned from the little...trip..they were being asked to take, though 'asked' was not a very appropriate question. The threat to one student was not really a threat, persay, but if he'd destroy one, he'd move through all of them willingly until they behaved themselves.
They knew that.
"Very well." Invictus said, still hissing through his teeth - he was not exactly one to play nicely with the Hunters, but for now he'd put up his front of civility towards them. He lingered for a moment, watching the hunter as he pulled away the nets from the fallen students - honoring his word, it seemed, before he moved towards the portal and stepped through it. Somehow, he sensed this was going to hurt.

Davey was better-trained than to demand 'WHAT THE HELL' in the middle of an op. But by god he was thinking it. The Horsemen weren't in chains or nets - they were freely walking with Caelius. Which meant someone had compromised. Being told to leave raised Davey's suspicions. His hackles raised, tails bristling visibly. But Davey still turned away. The little kitsune wore a look of mixed mutinty and pouting as he turned to the others in his little group and muttered, "Looks like we're done here." No killing the captives? Not even taking some experiments back for the doctor and Clarice? Davey had no proof that Caelius wasn't still planning on keeping the students or doing something natsy to everyone left in the clearing... but he doubted it. Why send them all away, otherwise? "Let's go," he said and walked off out of sight of the captive monsters and not-so-captive Horsemen. He was looking forward to being back in his own body again. [ Exiting ]

Jordan stared flatly at the Horsemen for long moments. So had this been a trap, not for the small fry tangled in their nets, but for the horses? They might not actually find out, and that fact was immensely frustrating.
He looked down at Remi once more. "See you next time, freak," he said to the unconscious kitsune, and walked off into the woods to log off.

Who or what (the latter seemed more accurate) were those things following Caelius? Eva shot a questioning look towards Otto and Reine, but she didn't speak--it looked like Caelius had orders for them.
So that was that? Overall, not a bad mission in her opinion--it beat the first one by a long shot, and the creatures actually hadn't posed as that much of a threat on this side. She wasn't sure how Caelius' own battle went (the fact he was still in one piece after all those things followed him amazed her) but that didn't seem to matter now. It was time to go back.
A sigh, and then a smile towards her friends. "Alright, let's go."

Leon just watched blankly as Cael gave them the cue to skedaddle without their bounty, if it was what he wanted, the boxer wasn't going to fight against it. Not after how he dealt with the last bout of insubordination.
With a casual shrug the hunter tucked the gun away and gave Tess a light tap on the leg as he walked off. "You got real lucky ghoulie, next time you're going to get it." he muttered aloud and began the sashay into the woods to log off.
Rack time was over for now.

Caelius was walking with them - the horsemen.
If anything, Gale's surprise was not registering on his face. Instead, a dark look of deep suspicion had taken hold, and his eyes followed the paths of the creatures, each flick of their tails, twitch of their ears, haughty expressions and all.
...what is going on.
He did not dare question the Death Hunter leader, of course. And Davey's low murmur made Gale nod mutely.
"Time to go."

Candace felt a great swell of pride seeing all the bodies trapped in nets. They did this all on their own without coaching! it hadn't been easy, by no means had it been easy, but they did it. Candace nearly squealed with delight at seeing all of the students writhing, wriggling, struggling to free themselves until one by one they lost consciousness. Oh dear! Were they going to die? She hoped not, that would mean they wasted their time!
She heard someone approaching and looked behind her to see it was just Caelius.
...Wait, it wasn't just Caelius. It was Caelius and the horsemen. Her eyes narrowed as she spotted the one in red and black. Death Pony. Candace's proud smile fell as she turned to regard the five of them with suspicion. Why was he with them so..casually? She opened her mouth to ask until he dismissed them. Wait, what? That was it? Not a job well done? No praise? Not even a smile?
Goddamnit.
Candace frowned and merely nodded, lowering her gun and turning away from Caelius to leave. What was he up to bringing the horsemen here?

As one of the last to be captured, Yǐn Cáng was also one of the ones still clinging to consciousness. However, that did not mean that he had a clue about what was happening. A white-cloaked figure returned with four others in tow, who spoke, something that he couldn't quite make out.
But all of the creatures in red cloaks began to leave, walking off and then disappearing. Then it appeared as if the nets were being released, and when the figure passed he found himself free. He struggled to push himself up, barely pushing himself off the ground, the effects of the net having drained him of his energy as he struggled to push the rest of it off. He was bewildered, nothing really made sense. This was not what he had expected school to be like.

Ryan had to admit, the fact that they were being dismissed and leaving the captives behind after all that effort of catching them, he was confused. The sight of the four--creatures following after the death hunter obediently confused him further. Regardless, he didn't speak a word of complaint. He only obeyed. He was sure Caelius had a reasonable explanation for this all. Though whether they got to hear it or not was unknown.
"Right, I'm heading back. See you guys there." He muttered, climbing down off of Dakota's shoulders and darting off into the woods.

Ren's eyes flickered, but he was not fully awake - nor was he fully asleep. Rather, he was drifting between that state of conscious and unconsciousness where one does not entirely have control over their own thoughts.
It hurt. His head, his body, his hands, his throat - everything hurt. And all he wanted to do was sleep.
He strained to figure out where exactly he was. He had seen a flash of white, caught sight of something - or rather, someone that he recognized - the horsemen were walking along behind someone wearing a white cloak, someone vaguely familiar. But Ren's senses were dulled, his mind spinning terribly, and he could not bear to move.
Nor could he really find the strength to even lift his head, even after he felt the restraints disappear, the nets falling away from his body. Ren lay on his side, only his eyes, hardly open, searching for the one person he wanted to see, needed to see.
Vaith was the first to appear in his line of vision, followed by Xiu beside him - then Tybalt - Jove, Jove - Ren's heart was aching.
He couldn't see LW.
Where is my ghoulfriend?
The roar could not escape his throat this time; he did not have the strength, and Ren closed his eyes, exhaling in a long, painful breath.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sparrow had remained uncharacteristically silent for the latter half of the captures, refusing to acknowledge the taunts and mocking comments from the hunters who had captured him. Instead he sat there, his back against a tree, completely drained of his strength, his bloodied, torn hands laying limp at his side, Xiu just a few short feet away.
He had seen, through slightly blurry vision, the horsemen walking in this direction - Asia with them, her stance still proud and determined, despite the look of sheer anger on her beautiful face at the thought of being treated like a pack of animals under the control of the scythe wielder. But Sparrow did not understand what was going on. What had happened? Why were they going with them?
What bargain did they make?
His head seemed to want to explode from the inside out, dizziness making his vision waver in and out. He wanted to get his strength back, find out whether or not the few friends he had were all right, if they were hurt, what he could do to help.
Except no amount of struggling made a difference - and even if it would, Sparrow could not seem to fight the overwhelming weariness and aching that covered him from head to toe.
Let me go home. Let me go back.
Someone's face swam in front of his mind.
When can I see you again?
