Show Me How To Lie....
It seemed that they were seriously considering the dog aspect, and he was very much looking forward to this. Shaking his head as soon as 'poodle' left her mouth, he was glad that it was immediately ruled out. Poodles were girly, and Adney as a manly man. He could not be seen walking a poodle. "Or maybe some sort or terrier or spaniel." he contributed, knowing they were of a reasonable sizes. They had a narrow range, as nothing too big would be practical and nor did they want anything too small.

The woman had to think of what other types of dogs would match them. Well it would be her dog, but it was going to be cared by both of them. "The only other breed I could think of was a Australian Shepherd." She told him. Now that they had their list they had to narrow it down. "I think a Spaniel could be a little too girly for me. Not that they're not pretty dogs." She said marking one away from the list.

Listening carefully to her narrowing the list, he nodded. "Well, it is your choice. I'm just going to say nothing too big." while it would be her dog, it was still his apartment; he didn't want anything too big crammed into the small apartment. He wasn't going to push her into a certain breed, as everything they covered seemed cute enough. "We can look around in pet stores and check the classified ads in the newspaper." he would certainly help her look, as he believed that that was what a good boyfriend did.

He had a point. They needed to see what was open at the moment. They could talk about something else now. It was nice that he was fine with her getting her own pet. "I need to go shopping for sheets too now that I think about it. Do you want me to pick anything up when I go to buy them?" She asked. She wouldn't be moving until the end of the weak, but it was a good idea to think about it.

Show Me How To Lie....
Considering a moment, he eventually shook his head. "There's nothing I can think of. I generally buy in bulk and just freeze things." it was a habit left over from when they didn't have as much money and it would almost vanish by the end of the month from various bills. He had managed to coerce himself into putting part of his paycheck each month into a savings account so that he wouldn't spend it to prevent it from vanishing. He was getting better about it, but sometimes it was a hard habit to fight after it had become so ingrained in him. "I suggest checking over your things and making sure that's all you need, though."

Adney did have a point. She would probably need more things than that. She need a blanket and pillows too. She also needed her own hangers for her clothes and probably more. "Yeah. You're right I'll have to make a list and go shopping during the week. It's too bad that we wont be able to see each other until I show up on your door step with boxes." She told him.

Show Me How To Lie....
Frowning a bit at her comment, he chose to try and make light of the situation. "Technically, I don't have a doorstep." he pointed out, cracking a smile. Making a turn in the garden as they neared the end of one side, he continued to glance about and take in the sights of the garden. It really was lovely, and he made a note to come here when he was in need of relaxing. It certainly seemed like the gardener was doing their job well. "If I'm free while you're shopping, I wouldn't mind tagging along. I could carry bags." he offered, not minding such.

Sky giggled. She was considering the front door as his doorstep. She guess that was something houses had and not apartments or dorms. "Fine, fine, be technical about it." She teased him. "Anyways I'll probably end up shopping while you're teaching." She told him. That was the only time she could go because of work.

Smirking as he was teased, the redhead looked rather amused. "I will be technical, thank you." he responded, enjoying this now. At the mention of teaching, he nodded, an unhappy expression crossing his face. "Ah yes, teaching. How could I ever forget about that?" while he enjoyed teaching most of the time, there was always a student that ruined it for him. Making another sharp turn, he wondered just how large this garden was.

♈ Tabitha George ♈ Tabitha walked into the gardens looking solemn. As the brisk winter wind hit her, she pulled her jacket closer to her frail body and stuffed her hands into her armpits for warmth. Tabitha saw, in horror, her own breath in front of her, and closed her eyes, nuzzling her chin into the furry line of her collar. Winter was never fun for Tabitha - it brought back memories she would rather keep unearthed. Hard winters flying through snowstorms, searching desperatley for food through the haze but finding nothing behind the curtain of stinging snow...Tabitha shook her head briefly to get the snow off her hair and pulled up her hood.
She began to walk through the gardens, shuffling slowly. For a moment she thought it would be best to go inside and revisit the place another day, but she pursed her lips at the idea. All day Tabitha was cooped up inside those eerily small classrooms, and even if the cold killed her she would stay outside for just a few more precious minutes. For a moment, Tabitha just stood still and watched the snow fall in front of her face. Which once had her so terrified as a bird now looked so beautiful, so much so she even wondered if it was the same substance at all. Warily, she stuck out an ungloved hand and felt the crystals land on her skin. Tabitha let loose a smile. Maybe this season wasn't as bad as she'd thought.
Tabitha continued to walk through the garden, and as she walked she contemplated. What she would have for dinner, where she would sleep tonight, what agonizing class she would have to sit through next. And if it was all worth it. She wanted so very badly to learn about the world of humans, the world of the thing she had become, but there was so much to learn. Would she ever learn it all? And if she didn't, what was the point? At this thought Tabitha frowned and looked off into the garden as if for someplace to hide from her self-destructive thoughts. Realizing how silly this was, the girl shook her head, sending snow in a flurry from side to side. Then she gulped, sending moisture into her suddenly dry mouth, and continued her walk. These were questions to be thought at night, when she was at peace and perfectly alone. Not when she was in a garden, supposed to be looking at the scenery, and there were any number of trees and animals around to peer into her thoughts.

Sky looked up at Adney. What little distance there was between their eyes. The woman was still as tall as ever and it made them the prefect height together. She didn't mind him being technical about it. It would be something silly to fight about. "I'm sorry, but that's why I'll try to get a day job over a night job. So I'm not sleeping half the day because of work. That means a few more dinners and dates together." She told him. It was only going to be for a while longer. "Besides there would only be two ways for me to want to quit my job." She wasn't going to tell Adney the two ways she would do that.

Show Me How To Lie....
Glancing down at her, the redhead waited patiently for her to speak. He gave a short nod at her statement, as it certainly would be hard to set up things like dates when they had alternate work schedules. His interest was piqued at the mention of two things that would make her quit her job, and he raised a brow in question. "Two ways?" he questioned, looking very curious on the matter. It certainly sounded interesting, and he wondered if there was any chance that she would actually tell him.

Sky knew he had to ask. He wouldn't be a teacher if he wasn't curious about things. Any good teacher did their research on the subject. She wasn't going to lie to him. Just like they promised. Be out front and don't lie. "The only ways I would quit my job is if I get an injuring that prevents me from working ever again or, and this will not happen, I get pregnant. I don't plan on either right now." She answered him. She wasn't ready to be a mom just yet and she wanted a better and more stable relationship before she would think about it. She really hoped that Adney wouldn't get any ideas by it.

Show Me How To Lie....
Slightly surprised to receive such a prompt answer to his question, he gave a short nod to show that he was listening. As she revealed the two reasons, he nodded again to agree. They were certainly good reasons, and he wasn't surprised by either of them. "I wouldn't want to work if I was pregnant either." he managed to keep a straight face before eventually cracking a small smile. If, by some strange happening, he got pregnant he wouldn't have to work again; he could make tons of money off of the rights to his life story and by appearing on talk shows. Never having to work again seemed nice at a first glance, but he would probably go insane from boredom with nothing to do.

Sky punched Adney in the shoulder for his smart comment. It was payment for it. "At least you unofficially agreed that if your going to knock me up then you're paying." She joked. She basically she was going to be his leech, at least it was his kid in that case, but another think came to the young woman's mind. A lot of couples got married because of a kid. She didn't know if she would want to marry Adney because of some kid they were having.
