((I worry for my friend's youngest brother (she has two) who I think is maybe ten now? He's adorable. Not a cry baby. A perfectly innocent pokemon trainer. May he never feel the taint of halo. *prays*))

Mala leaned against the railing, looking out at the horizon as she replied to Van. "That is true. However, when you can't avoid getting hurt it is still better to have the skill to begin with."

"...That's it, I'm going in to lie down...Being able to see the ship rock isn't helping...." Van said wobbling off below deck to the cabin he'd claimed, hoping to sleep through the rest of the trip.

Milly was napping in the corner of the Captain's Cabin, finding the nailed-down bed to be too scary to sleep in. It might've had something to do with what she might've seen involving Jaquel and her mother.

Van held a hand to his head, trying to steady himself as he wobbled into the captain's cabin (when asked why he got it, his response was 'Who's got the hat here?') when he saw Milly sleeping in the corner. Too ill to care about the kid right now, he just flopped into bed and tried not to think about the rocking of the boat.

Milly soon woke up after Van plopped onto the bed. She didn't move from her spot, but she kept her curious gaze locked onto Van.

Van could feel Milly staring at him and grudgingly opened his eyes. "What? Something on my face?" he said somewhat grouchily from the kid unintentionally keeping him from his nap.
