"Oh man do I hear yo...Oh s**t." Around them flames began erupting, lighting the tree on fire. All around trainers were attempting to put the fire out, using all sorts of objects, and pokemon attacks. He and Ezekiel were almost too far to be much of a use but as Carter fumbled with the pokeballs on his belt, he felt a sudden surge of brilliance.
"Alright Sofie, let's give this a nice Rain Dance! Do what you can to help put out the flames!" For once he was glad he had used that shady TM the Linoone had 'acquired' a few weeks ago.
The oddly colored ferret pokemon raced forward, joining it's companions in a struggle, calling forth as much rain as it's small body could muster, focusing it in the general hazard area.
"Come on Zeke, can I call you Zeke by the way, we gotta help."

Khol starts. Did she doze? She sees the blaze. Ak! "Taka, dig! If you value your boyparts, do what I say!" She rummages throug the packs and pulls out a shovel, not waiting to see if her Pokemon obeyed.

Krac continued his water gurgling, spitting water to the lower branches in case they smoldered off and fell to the floor below. Yea. He was important all right. Putting out a fire, yo. With water from him, yo. He better get a hug after this is done.

As the fire continued to grow Jay suddenly acted, without thinking about the dangers. He took off, sprinting towards the fire, headless to the heat. He got the horrible feeling that there was at least one pokemon still in that burning tree and despite having no pokemon of his own or protective gear of any kind he ran for the tree. He had to shield his face with his sleeve as he neared the tree. The heat getting to him, ember flying threatening to catch his clothes on fire. Jay put all that in the back of him mind and continued forward in spite of it all. There was a pokemon in danger, he got that horrible feeling, and he wouldn't just sit by and watch.

Lisa and Temporal Gate both approached the fire cautiously. "Come on out!" she called, hoping whatever was trapped inside would at least make a cry to indicate it's location. She was becoming increasingly worried, and inched towards the fire despite the heat. TG kept up his barrage of water, aiming higher up and letting gravity do the rest. He noticed the other pokemon using water pulse and timed his pulses so that there was an almost constant stream of water.

Something was on fire, she could feel the wash of heat, and hear the crackling from a sound that was all too familiar and alien all at once. She didn't want to think of the possiblity of a forest fire, but it wasn't like she could exactly help with her pokemon. Yuzu wasn't a water type...but the cursed Banette could help bring water from the creek. Calling the Banette back from her wanderings she gestured toward the fire before she took off toward the creek, snatching a nearby pan as she went.Click the picture for full size

The third Meowth had been safely caught, and Rhia heaved a sigh of relief before she trained her eyes on the tree again. She squinted against the flames, lifting the hand with the Pokeball in it to shield herself from the heat. She wished she had a water Pokemon, but for right now all she had was her rented Ponyta and Aimee. She hadn't managed to catch Raina's attention, come to think of it...
A fire and scared Pokemon and she was thinking about that?! She could find her when all of this was settled!
"Doesn't anyone else have water Pokemon?" She called, looking at the gathered trainers. This many, and no water-types? There was a Tentacruel-- was that Meeka?-- and only a few other water Pokemon out. Rhia hugged her backpack close, thinking of her beloved Aimee inside, and looked around. What could she use...
A sudden shout and a burst of water cascaded over Rhia. She glanced only briefly at the Lugia, then did a doubletake and stared. A legendary Pokemon? She looked back to see how the tree was faring, and prayed that the Hydro Pump, combined with the other Pokemon, would do the job.

thyPOPE Nina actually had no idea what to do. Ponytas were not very helpful when it came to putting out flames, and she had a bit of water in a canteen - but if she used it she'd be parched for the rest of the trip, and while it was possible to go around without food, going waterless was a bit of a far stretch. (Unless there was a river around somewhere, but Nina did not see any rivers, thank you very much)
"Yeah, uh..." she said, stepping aside to see what the others did. She wasn't going to be able to do anything here. ((you should get on messenger btw ninja )) Luna had already been half asleep, curled up against Albireo's fat, when she heard panic race through the camp. She glanced at the direction of the commotion and noticed that there was smoke rising from the distance. "...well..." Luna yawned. Albireo, her dewgong, mimicked his trainer's motions. "There are a lot of other pokemon handling it..."

Jenn's eyes followed the huge burst of light to a flaming tree. "Oh, shoot." She managed to say, swiftly turning to look around the camps. "If anyone has a water pokemon, they'd be HIGHLY favored right now? Anyone?" She called, trying to bring some semblance of order to the chaos. Not seeing much help, Jenn cast a look about and started flinging dirt at the flames. "If someone has Airlock, that'd be awesome too!" Jenn said, hoping the ability could still the air and take the oxygen the fire had to feed on.

"Heh, rodents? Pikachu is technically a rodent, and everyone loves Pikachu. Rattata has it rough, doesn't it? Well, unless it's in the top percentage of rattata... ...Did that tree just catch fire?" Lamen blinked at the tree, then sprang into action. "DONUT! COMERE!" She yelled just as she was releasing her Breloom Potatobi from her pokeball.
"Potatobi, Tauros- you know what to do. Or if you don't, mud-slap the heck out of that tree, please. Pile MUD on the FIRE, got it? Sasha, I'll be back in a sec."
The grass type nodded and both she and Lamen ran off quite swiftly to attend the mess. A few moments later, the Tauros followed, having sort of understood what he was asked to do. (He wasn't bred for using attacks on command... he was just a farm pokemon, cmon!)

Tinnunculus Alex ignored his little sister through dint of long years of practice and shook his head at Lumina. "Just the rental," he grinned, looking sheepish about it. "Be kind of cool to have an Eevee as my first. How 'bout you - you have any, or just take notes?" He glanced over at her notebook, politely inquisitive, when he became aware of more than just the fire's heat.
"..crap."
The brunette looked to the other trainers. They had to have some water types. Before she could reply, Lumina had already bolted from where she sat with the pan to try and wash down the fire. She paused by him, "Sorry, could you grab that second pot there? Try filling with water from the creek. Or move things back?" Her voice sounded like she was about to panic, but her movements stayed steady as she made another dash to help calm the fire.

((Ryuu!))
Alexa saw a fire off in the distance and figured that was where they groups were camping for the night. However as Vincent ran closer she realized that it was a tree on fire. She cursed herself for only having fire pokemon. There was no way for her to help out unless she used one of the jugs of drinking water. Finally stopping Vincent near a trainer with a ponyta she slid off his back. "Here use this!" She unhooked the jug and passed it to the ponyta's rider.

(Fire out! >B Next pokemon stage right!) The fire finally died down after what seems like an eternity. Smoking limbs reached towards the starry sky as the remains of leaves and branches smouldered amid the charcoal around the base of the tree roots.
Thankfully, it didnt look like any pokemon were in the limbs in the oak during the blaze, so-
Huh?
A thick rustling from the bushes nearby sounded and they parted as a soot-covered Meowth stumbled into the open, sounding like it was coughing up a lung. It looked extremely dazed and confused from the events that has just occured and fairly weakened in it's state of minor shock.
But what happened to that pokemon that the Meowth picked a fight with? Surely it wasnt....

Ridley was disappointed that they were interrupted, hurriedly following Liam up and watching the healer whip into action mode, surprised and impressed, feeling Soulcrusher nose his shoulder as Nitro and Liam charged off towards the blaze. "Damn... he's hot," the Rocket murmured to his pokemon, lifting a hand to stroke his muzzle.
Soulcrusher snorted, moving his head back, and Ridley rolled his eyes, swinging up into his seat on Soulcrusher's back and kicking him into a charge. "Soulcrusher, use Mud Shot!" he commanded, aiming the attack to suffocate the forest fire.

"Oh! I forgot, Skylar, use Rain Dance!" Sienna commanded. Her other two birds were hard at work to put the fire out, and now her swablu summoned rain to drizzle down on the forest fire. Sienna jumped as the cool drops hit her head. Aw crap, now it was raining again. She hoped the other trainers wouldn't be *too* mad...
