Chronicler

After what happened yesterday, Morana offered to take care of the shop today and Altus went to help her. The Cherrim had spent most of the morning sulking in her hammock, writing in one of the many books she kept, until Incultyr told her to get out and get some fresh air. He said he would take care of Acer, and Chronicler was touched.

Incultyr hated taking care of the baby. It goes to show that he really did care.

So Chronicler wandered off by herself through the castle, petals folded tightly and protectively around herself. She was still horrified at the seemingly impossible choice she and her team must make.

The Cherrim stepped out into the courtyard, and slowly unfurled her petals with the warmth of the sun. She took a peek around, and headed for the shade of a nearby tree. The grass-type stopped when she noticed a certain black eevee sleeping under it though, and turned.

Chronicler knew that the eevee had lost a dear one yesterday, and Chronicler couldn't bare to face her. She knew not how to comfort someone, and she didn't want to make it any worse for Zori.

Instead the Cherrim headed for a different tree and settled under it, and draped her petals loosely around her. Taking out a pencil and some paper, she began to write under the protection of her petals, her way to block out the world.

Mitch & Vienna& Cadarl

The three entered again, having left briefly, but now they were back. And even better: Cadarl was awake now! Mitch had "slapped some sense into him."
Well, basically had used an Ember attack until Cadarl finally just got so annoyed he had to start fighting back.
"Tralalalala~" chanted Vienna, skipping towards the same tree she had been climbing previously.
Mitch gulped. That was one of the first signs of a girl going more towards the feminine side then the masculine:
Random humming.
Mitch yelped to himself, skidding behind Cadarl self-conciously.

Zori

Zori smiled at the returning trio of Pokemon, her fluffy tail curled tightly around her body to protect her charcoal flanks from the heat of the Sun. She was lying in partial shade, and sunlight peeked through various gaps in the leaves of the tree above, dappling her black and silver pelt. She nodded slightly to Cadarl and Mitch, watching Vienna skip about. She spotted a vaguely familiar figure off in a secluded corner of the Courtyard. The Chronicler was here, too, apparently. Her heart ached painfully at the memory of yesterday. She'd met the Chronicler when she'd been taking care of Aisu... Her smile faded slightly.

Ruana & Demetri

As the pair walked further along into the courtyard, they began to see some signs of the pokemon that frequented the outdoors area at some point or another. The more they walked, however, the more Ruana got the feeling that this was a place for relaxation or private thought; after all, she didn't see any pokemon running around in the fresh air or anything, but then again, they probably had training grounds for that. Just as well, she supposed, mentally making a note of the place; perhaps she could come practice here when there was no one here to worry about disturbing.

She and Demetri eventually entered into something of a glade in the courtyard, with one or two trees scattered along the open edges. Peering around, she could see a cherrim under one and what looked like an obsidian-furred eevee curled up beneath another. She knew Demetri was probably tempted to go talk to them, but one seemed busy and the other asleep, so she gave him a glance. "May as well calm down some, Demetri," she murmured with a sympathetic smile. "They seem busy."

However, the mawile was fairly sure that those two weren't the only pokemon around; she thought she had spied a ralts when they entered, but she didn't see the pokemon right now, so she wasn't absolutely positive. Right now, though, she didn't really mind; it was more for Demetri's benefit that they were here right now. With a sort of carefree sigh, Ruana padded through the grass to a burbling fountain not far away, taking a seat against it and watching the place.

Demetri, however, chose not to join her- sitting in one place for more than a few minutes was a bit of a challenge for him at times. Turning, the growlithe disappeared into the flowers to look for someone to interact with.

Zori

Zori pricked her ears curiously as she caught the gentle rustling of nearby plants. She moved from her place in the grass, creeping curiously over to the flower beds. She sniffed at them, trying to distinguish the scent of the Pokemon within. It was a canine scent. She didn't recognize it, though. All she knew was that it was male, and about her age... She slipped into the flowers, crouching low to the ground. She snuck up behind the figure, and pounced playfully on his tail.

Mitch & Vienna& Cadarl

Within moments of their arrival, Vienna had noticed the new group that had come walking into the courtyard.
Cadarl had taught her to always be stealthy with this sort of thing, and what could be more stealthy then just suddenly appearing?
So, she teleported and found herself standing in front of the Mawhile, giving the pokemon a grin.
"Hello there! I'm Vienna," she greeted, holding out a paw that she expected to be shaken.
Mitch looked over, not really searching for anything in-particular, and spotted Vienna beginning to make contact with a stranger. Well, that wouldn't do. She wasn't supposed to talk to strangers, right?!
"Vienna, come back!" He shouted, sprinting towards the Ralts and the Mawhile.

Chronicler

Chronicler stopped her writing as she was distracted by the voices of new people coming into the courtyard. Raising a petal so she could see, the Cherrim watched the two unfamiliar figures. She flipped a page in her notebook, distracted from her depressing thoughts.

Monday May 17th, 2010, Year of the Jirachi:
Two unfamiliar pokemon spotted in the courtyard today. One looks to be a Growlithe of a golden colouration, perhaps shiny. Male. With a white pokemon that had a large maw coming out of its head. White body and dress with some black; possible connection to an Absol. Female. Presumably in the same team, probably a new team. Should go check if the Team records have been updated with their information to find out their Team name.

She scribbled quickly. Seeing it as her goal to record the story of this guild, she keeps similar records of every team in the guild. Some are quite extensive and detailed, even though she has had little contact with most of them. As part of her mind raced to bring to her memories the reference books that would help her locate the species of the unfamiliar Pokemon, another just didn't care.

She watched as the members of Team Valor entered and greeted the odd white-Pokemon. The growlithe had gone off to the other side, close to where Zori had been before, but the eevee was no longer in Chronicler's line of sight.

Closing the little notebook with a snap, Chronicler put it into the little bag she wore at her side along with her pencil. For the first time in a long while, she didn't feel like writing. Uncurling her wings fully, she stretched and laid back on the grass, watching the world go by.

Ruana & Demetri

Much to the mawile's surprise, within minutes of sitting down she found a young ralts suddenly standing right in front of her in a flash. Needless to say, the ralts' sudden teleportation about scared the life out of her; if she hadn't been sitting down, she likely would have fallen backwards into the fountain. Oh so briefly, the jaws on the back of her head bared in an imitation of her own instant expression, as they tended to do, and then she calmed herself, realizing it was only a young guild member.

The mawile offered the young ralts a small grin, surprisingly gentle compared to the expression on her horns just a second ago. "Hi, Vienna," she greeted the other in her usual soft tone, lightly shaking the other's -Vienna's- paw. "Arceus, you startled me," she admitted. "But nice to meet you. I'm Ruana."

Just then, another shout caught her attention, and she saw a chimchar racing towards them. Her previous smile quickly dropped in a moment of exasperation mixed with worry; maybe it was just her, but the fire-type seemed panicked, and she knew from experience what panicky fire-types were like. And usually what they were like didn't bode well for steel-types such as herself. Quick as a flash, her paw dropped from the other's, watching the chimchar approach.

Mmm, flowers smelled good. That was one of the few things on Demetri's mind at the moment; the fire-type currently had his nose stuck in a tulip, nostrils full of the scent. He sighed through his mouth, fully entranced for all of those five seconds.

A quiet rustle in the flowers made the growlithe's ears twitch, but it sounded like the wind. Almost instantly after, though, he felt a weight land on his tail, and the young pup yelped loudly, forgetting about the pokemon that were likely trying to relax. He jerked his nose out of the flowers and rolled over, sneezing in the process, as he tried frantically to dislodge his would-be attacker; thankfully, some small part of his mind said likely this was a guild member, so he at least didn't attack, which likely would have gotten him in quite a bit of trouble either with the guild or the attacker's team.

Mitch & Vienna& Cadarl

Vienna beamed back with a second grin at Ruana. She thought mildly about the name; it was pretty, she decided. It reminded her of the moon and the sea.
However, she didn't have long to think about this. She recognized Mitch running up to them at full-speed, shouting at the Ralts for some reason.
Vienna got a contorted look on her face, trying to figure out what it was that she had done wrong. She hadn't upset him somehow, had she?
Let's see: She hadn't disturbed any pokemon, or at least she assumed Ruana wasn't disturbed by her; she hadn't been called out by another guild member; she hadn't hurt herself by accident...
Mitch finally reached Vienna, reaching out with both arms and snatching her away from the Mawhile, causing the Ralts to yelp from surprise.
"Get away from the stranger! Get away from the stranger!" Mitch was yelling, clinging tightly to Vienna. He then noticed what gender the stranger was.
"Especially because it's a FEMALE!" he yowled, bending over and trying to hide his face from the "un-arceusly" sight.

Ruana & Demetri

As soon as Vienna was scooped up, the mawile jumped back slightly, confused. Confusion turned to a sort of twisted anger, though, as she realized his words. Because she was a female? She didn't know whether to be pissed off or laugh. On one hand, it was nice to have someone be afraid of her for reasons other than the giant set of horns for a change (never mind that the young ralts had been completely unafraid, which was new too), but she didn't take too kindly to sexist people, either. After a moment, though, she settled on a sort of amazed "Excuse me?" as a response.

((Got to leave, sorry D: ))

Mitch & Vienna& Cadarl

Mitch was about to explain, or rather make up an excuse, but Vienna quickly teleported her way from Mitch's grasp and stood before Ruana once more.
"You see, Mitch, that guy, has a phobia of women," she claimed. The Chimchar quickly made a sound similar to "eeep" and put a hand over Vienna's mouth, swiveling his eyes in their sockets as if searching for anyone who might have heard what she said.
To him, none of that was true. He wasn't afraid of women, he just was afraid of being near them. Looking at women from afar was fine.
Actually, now that he thought about it, he'd rather just not associate with most of them, if that was possible.
Yeah, let's go with that one.

(( Okay, bye! ))

Zori

Zori laughed, rolling into the dust. She wagged her fluffy tail, and rose once more to her paws. The little charcoal Eevee trotted back over to the Growlithe, her golden-amber eyes bright and sparkling with amusement. "Hey there. I'm Zori; nice to meet you~" She told the Growlithe happily. He had rather dark eyes, and a bright, golden coat of thick, fluffy fur. Dark stripes ran down his back and flanks. Maybe he was shiny, like Kaiyou. The sapphire pendant around her neck shimmered like ice in the sunlight.

Ruana & Demetri

Ruana's expression quickly changed back to one of confusion at that. "....Okay," she said, blinking a couple of times. In all honesty, she wasn't sure how, exactly, to react to that. It was something new, after all; she couldn't recall ever having met a person with a phobia of the opposite gender before. Her eyes narrowed at the chimchar's eep, and she gave him an odd glance.

"Well." She paused, trying to come up with a sort of explanation that would satisfy Mitch's thoughts of her being a stranger, at least. "I'd like to say I'm not a stranger, but I guess technically I am to you two. I just started a rescue team with my partner, Demetri..." The mawile trailed off as she glanced around the garden, realizing that the only person who could have actually attested to that fact was, in fact, somewhere else at the moment.

Thankfully, the stranger that had attacked him quickly got off, giving the growlithe time to get up and shake the dust out of his fur. When he did, he found himself facing a lithe black eevee with a ring of silver fur around her neck and a sapphire pendant hanging off her neck. He gave her one of his wide smiles as she introduced herself as Zori. "Hi," he replied, tail wagging slightly in excitement. He had met someone! How exciting!"I'm Demetri. Me and my partner just formed a rescue team here." Momentarily recalling Ruana, he looked for her in curiosity, but couldn't see much beyond the flowers. Shrugging to himself, he turned back to conversation at hand, curious as to what this eevee had to say about herself.

Zori

Zori flicked her ears happily, her tail swishing back as forth. "You are? That's awesome! What's your team's name?" She asked curiously. It helped to know who was who around the Guild. It led to easier communication and easier recognition. "I'm the leader of Team Stormcloud." She tilted her head in a friendly way.

Ruana & Demetri

"We're called Team Symphonic,"
the growlithe replied, remembering how the name had come into existence. Mostly Ruana's idea, really; he simply had had no objections. Besides, it didn't matter what the team was called, so long as they were good, right?

"You're a leader?" Demetri repeated after her last statement, curious. "Awesome. Have you been on a lot of missions and stuff?"
