"You... don't have to spend money on me, Seiichirou..." Watari whispered, a very faint blush coming to his cheeks as the secretary's hands tickled him.
The blond had always been easily tickled...
And thus, he squirmed beneath Tatsumi in an attempt to save face and not burst out laughing.
"I don't mind glasses..." the scientist continued, trying to get his mind off the tickling sensation. "I think they give me character." he teased.

"I know I don't have to...but I want to. I want to do everything for you. I want to be there for you like...like...well...a proper...lover."
It wasn't often that Tatsumi found himself having to reach for words, but what was he to say? Boyfriend sounded too young, and husband just sounded odd, not to mention the fact that it was too quick for him to be pulling that one.
"Nevermind all that then..." he ran his hand through his hair, keeping his eyes on the blond.
"I think there are more...pressing...things at hand..." stretching himself out atop the blond, he kissed at the pale flesh of his neck, nibbling gently right below the ear.

"What could be... oh..." Watari blushed again, tensing just slightly in the shadow's hold as Tatsumi's lips began to n** and tease.
Then he laughed.
"Gomen gomen... I'm ticklish..." the blond tried to explain as he turned his head to the side to give the secretary a better range of motion.
Amber eyes closed as Yutaka spoke. "You... aren't just teasing me?" he whispered. "With the lover comment?"

"Does it look like I'm teasing? Does it feel like it?" the kagetsukai asked, pressing his hips forward just a bit, letting the blond feel the obvious against his thigh.
"I've been in love with you for years, Yutaka...it stands to reason that I would also desire you...physically...yes?"
For Tatsumi, desire wasn't even a strong enough word.
What he felt for Watari..after all these years...was something more akin to a craving.
The secretary's mouth nearly watered just thinking about it.

Watari bit his lip for a moment, thinking on his next reply. The knowledge that someone desired him that much was just... well... overwhelming.
"I just don't want this to be a dream or a nightmare or... or you to change your mind..." the scientist spoke, amber eyes focused on the secretary above him. "I mean, the obvious would be that yes you desire what you've wanted and in this case physical desire is logical but..."
Some part of the blond still thought that Tatsumi had gone crazy... or was possessed... or maybe even had an evil twin or clone.
It all just whizzed around in the shinigami's head, none of it making sense, and completely contradicting everything he knew of the man.
Especially the part about spending money on him.
"I love you, Seiichirou..." Watari whispered. "I just don't want this to change us in some way..."

It was then that Tatsumi hesitated.
"Sou ka..." he whispered, almost as if he were speaking to himself.
Pushing himself up on his hands, the secretary shifted off of the blond, sitting down on the desk.
"Yutaka...I'm not going to push you into something you aren't prepared for. You know that, right? I'm sorry if I've been too forward."
It was the truth, Tatsumi was very sorry if anything he had done had upset or bothered Watari in any way at all. It wasn't what he had intended.
"I suppose...once I get going I find it hard to stop myself." he admitted, somewhat sheepishly.
"But...it is wonderful to hear you say it, too. That you love me, as I love you."

Still pinned to the desk by the shadows, and shirtless to boot, Watari simply watched Tatsumi for a long moment.
"It... it's not that I'm not prepared for it... it was just sudden..." the scientist replied.
He felt bad that Tatsumi was hesitating now... but then again, hadn't that been what he wanted?
Or was it?
No... the blond knew what he wanted...
"Gomen... you don't have to stop if you don't want to. I mean... if... if this whole transfer doesn't go right..."
In other words, this could be the last chance Watari and Tatsumi had to really be together. Well, aside from dinner tonight...

The kagetsukai winced when Watari spoke of the transfer...of the possibility of things not going as planned.
The very idea caused him literal, physical pain. It was as if his whole body rejected the idea of losing Watari, of even seeing him hurt in any way.
Using his shadows, he released the scientist's arms, then proceeded to bundle the blond up in the silky, dark threads and moved him into his own lap, cradling the smaller man gently in his arms.
"Don't speak of such things. You're going to be fine, right? You said so yourself."
Whether he was trying to convince Watari or himself, however, even he wasn't sure.

The shadows were warm and inviting... hardly the cold tendrils that one would think of them as.
"You know as well as I do that something could go wrong." Watari replied, glad for the use of his arms as he wrapped them around the kagetsukai's neck. "I'll take every precaution, Seiichirou. I promise. I just don't want you to regret something, or not doing something, if... well..."
Watari was blushing again... he just couldn't help it.

"Yutaka...I already have a world of regrets...no matter what may or may not transpire in the near future. I'd worry less about what we do or don't do and worry more about spending this time we have together being as happy as we can. I know you'll be careful, though. Would you...and don't hesitate to say know if that is what you want, but would you allow me to be there...when you do this?"
The secretary didn't release his gentle hold on his partner. He just kept rocking him, stroking his hair, dotting his hair with small kisses.
There wasn't much else he could think to do....he would let Watari decide if anything became more...intense...from this point on....at least until they had some sort of established understanding of eachother's limits, wants, and needs.

"Of course I want you there." Watari replied, pulling back from Tatsumi enough to really gaze into the other man's eyes. "Having you to back us up will make me feel a lot safer. Plus your shadows might come in handy if Saki gets the better of me at the get-go."
He was being honest. Though the idea frightened him, he knew what needed to be done.
"So... just this once, Seiichirou..." the scientist seemed a bit embarrassed. "Let's enjoy each other... because I know I'll regret it if we just leave things like this..."

Tatsumi felt like he could melt, he softened so much at Watari's sweet words.
"Then I'll be there for you...then...and now..."
Fingers splayed, the secretary traced them down the blond's chest and tight abs, the sensation of the scientist's warmth so pleasant that he let out a happy sigh.
"Tell me then...what do you want me to do, Yutaka?" he asked, knowing that his hesitation would only tease the man.

Watari couldn't help but bite his lip as he watched Tatsumi's fingers and their teasing trail. "Just... be gentle..." the scientist whispered, a slight blush creeping onto his cheeks. "I haven't... exactly... well... not since I was alive really..."
In other words, for the blond... it had been a long time...

Chuckling, the secretary shifted Watari forward, laying him down on a soft, warm, cushiony black surface....
Tatsumi had formed a sort of makeshift bed in the middle of his office, completely out of shadows.
"I don't think I could be anything other than gentle with you..." he soothed, stroking back those long, wild tendrils of hair that made the scientist look like a beautiful lion sometimes.
"And don't worry...I understand completely. I haven't done anything since I was alive either...not..all the way...at least..." he coughed to hide his slight embarrassment.
"So..forgive me if...it isn't as satisfying as you might expect..."

"Just being here..." Watari whispered, keeping his arms wrapped around Tatsumi's neck and back. "Just being with you... knowing that... that you care... I just..." he smiled softly. "I'm already satisfied..."
Teasingly, the blond leaned forward and planted a soft kiss to the kagetsukai's lips.
He didn't care what Tatsumi did or how good he was... as long as they were together... as long as he was loved...
