Dusk sighed. "Just...something unexpected..." She looked at him and sighed again. "I'm just wondering why I can't sleep." Not a lie...totally... "And, I don't think you could make me into a rug." She stuck her tongue out at him, but didn't go back to being the annoying Dusk, she stayed her normal more adult self.

Kyoshi picked up his dishes and put them in the sink. "I think I can turn you into a rug only I would have to seriously consider on where to put you." He began to ponder on other things that needed to be kicked out of his mind or washed away with cold water. He then thought that he was going to spend how ever long it was that she was staying under the cold shower.

Dusk smiled, "I don't think you'd want to see me everyday though..." She finished off her cake and helped Kyoshi with the few dishes.

"What if I don't mind seeing you everyday." He said softly. Then he mentally slapped himself at the blunt words. He scrubbed his dish roughly. What an idiot. He couldn't believe he said that. Now he was really going to do some damage control when he got the chance.

Dusk almost dropped the glass she was washing. "Really? Then I'd say you were odd to want to see something like me everyday..." Her voice was quiet, not nagging him at all.

"There's nothing wrong with being odd." He thought back at how he used to be called odd when he was growing up, before he was chosen to be a warrior when everything used to make sense in the world. He hated that word and hated how it got him in the most uncompromising positions. He hated how it got him to suffer so much. He hated how he would always push away everyone because of it. He hated everything about it. Washing the dish harder, Kyoshi made it crack and not noticing it at all.

Dusk heard the crack and put her hand on his, to get him to stop before he fully shattered the poor plate. "No...there's nothing wrong. It's just...not what I expected." She smiled at him. "And I think that you're gonna kill the dish..."

Kyoshi stopped and looked at the dish. It was indeed cracked and was about to be killed by him. He put it down gently and looked at her. He wanted to say something or do something but he couldn't. He held back so much in such a short time of knowing her. Her smiles hit him and affected him like no other and it was an odd thing. Sure many women smiled at him but they all were not a great as Dusk's smiles. Without warning, he outlined her smile with him finger, taking in the feel of her lips.

Dusk was about to say something when Kyoshi began tracing her lips, them opening slightly in surprise. The hybrid didn't mind at all with what he was doing. For some reason, she actually liked being around this tall, egotistical man.

His finger trailed over her to her nose and then around her eyes and then her ears. Despite how much of a brat she was, he liked her. Alot. He didn't mind her being a pain as long as she didn't leave during the fights or anything like that. He leaned closer to Dusk face like he had before. He took in her scent and the lovely features of her face.

No matter what her mind was saying, 'Run! Get going! Getting too close! Run!' She didn't listen. Dusk sank into the touches, leaning her head to the side, into his hand more. Looking at his eyes, she tried to judge what he would do next, how far he would go. Kyoshi annoyed her to the point of wanting to murder him, but... then he was like this, and she didn't know what to think about him.

He was closing in about to really see how her lips felt and tasted when something in him stopped him. 'STOP! Think about what you are doing! Don't hurt her. Remember what you said to her friend tonite!' His conscience had a really problem catching up to him at the most inconvient of times. It was highly frustrated by this. Then again, it was right and he would stand by his words even though he was proving to be the biggest hypocrite ever. She deserved better than him, even if and only if she liked him. Though he wanted to pull back he didn't move from where he was. Not able to decide on his next course of action.

Dusk sighed and said a silent prayer for her own funeral. She wrapped her arms around him, pulling herself closer. "You're not gonna hurt me, Kyoshi..." Dusk mumbled.

Kyoshi flinched slightly at what she said. "I can't do this to you." He whispered against her lips. "I will hurt you." He wanted to pull away but he wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her even closer. "Please forgive me." He nuzzled her hair with his nose. He didn't want nothing to affect her in any bad way.

Dusk smiled at him. "Then it's a good thing I have a high pain tolerance..." She kissed him lightly. "You won't hurt me, Kyoshi." She was the one who would hurt him. Kyoshi knew nothing about her, or about what she was. Because she was a hybrid, Dusk was always avoiding the Hunters, Collectors, and her own kind. If they found that she was close to someone, they would come after them. That's why Mist stayed as a fox, and why Ziggy always worked with those who were after her, to protect himself.
Kyoshi was strong, but she didn't know how much he could take. But... she also didn't want him to leave her.
