So it's been ages since I have been here so I figured I would stop by and say hello to everyone. I hope everything is going okay for each of you. congrats on another boy Luna, I love your sig!!
For awhile things were crazy around here, trying to get everything set up/put away and we took our childbirth classes but that is all done now. The classes were okay, I think my fiance learned more then I did. From being a member of this guild and doing a research on my own a lot of the stuff they covered I already knew. I did learn however the midwife I go to does water birth's and the hospital here in town has a tub for that purpose. I was really surprised because it's such a small hospital. Their maternity floor has 10 beds and the nurse says they never fill all 10. When we toured the floor there were no babies there (I was kinda sad 'cause I wanted to see babies) I plan to ask my midwife when I see her Tuesday more about having a water birth. I am not 100% sure if that is what I want but I figured it can't hurt to learn more!
Besides that everything has been going pretty good. Starting to have more Braxton-Hicks contractions and I am starting to get excited and nervous for the big day. Yesterday was the 37 week mark so not too long now! Wish me luck!! Oh and I have some more resent u/s pictures. They were done exactly a month ago acctually! I'll put them in a separate post so I don't make this one huge!

Omigod, Syll, those are so nice!
We're home and are at the 35 week mark. Baby is finally too big to do too many gymnastics anymore, but he's still pretty wiggly and likes to stretch when he can. When we went in right at 31 weeks, the midwife [who wasn't my usual one] thought he was head-down already. Next Monday, I'm hoping Dianne can give us a better idea and maybe a size estimate. But it's getting close and I'm ready for him to be born as soon as he wants, granted that he waits two weeks to be considered full term first. whee
Looking back at some posts...Hikari, did you say you both have A negative blood? If you do, you don't need the RH shots because the factor is a dominant trait and if you both don't have it and are positive you haven't been mistyped, there isn't a way your baby could have an RH positive blood type. I chose to forgo the shot because I know I'm O- and DH is B- and been typed that way by a few different sources including the Red Cross. So if that's the case, it's really up to you on that one. If you want to be safe, get the shot.
And those heart moniters you buy in the stores don't usually start to work until your baby is bigger, like 5 or 6 months along. So don't get discouraged. wink

First off welcome back Dirge!
Thanks everyone, I was super pleased with the u/s. The tech lady was amazing and Ethan was being very good for her and allowed for some great shots. I think the tech was enjoying it as much as my fiance and I because she printed out like 15 pictures for us.
My next appointment is tomorrow so hopefully I have started to dialate a little or something. Pretty much all I have left is the wait and it's killing me. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I am so with you Dirge, I am ready for him to be born! 3nodding

If you want to be safe, get the shot. Well, AJ told me he does. And then the doctor told me I have A negative; and she told me I absolutely had to have it because if I didn't that my blood would attack the baby because my blood came back as postive for the Rh factor.

AH. So he's actually A positive then. In that case, shots for you. Last thing you want is your body forming anti-bodies to attack your baby's blood. 3nodding

No I don't want that at all. I just hate shots, I avoid them at all costs. It's just a little confusing. She had told me its something they reccommend for all their paitients who come back as A negative blood types; but that they always test for the Rh factor and that I had come back positive so the shot was mandatory.
But that doesn't make sence if AJ and I are both A negative........I'll will talk to her at my next appt.

Well, my mother is A- and has 6 children, so imagine how many times she had to go through that! The thing is you get tested for blood type and + or -, so unless your husband is 100% sure and has proof, he might be wrong. If both parents are Rh negative then the children will be Rh negative, so that makes sense. Why not just get him tested at the next appointment? http://www.craigmedical.com/blood_typing_facts.htmIt gives a chart of possible combinations and for two negative people it's impossible to have positive children.

3nodding Yeah, the RH factor is a dominant trait so if you both definitely are negative there should be no way your baby could be. I'm guessing he may have been mis-typed then. With me, they wouldn't take my word on Chris until I said the Army typed him as B- and the Red Cross had him typed as the same because he was a regular donator. So a couple sources had confirmed his.

My due-date is a month from today, omigod. eek I can't believe April just came and went that fast.
Chris finally decided on a name: as long as it wasn't one I hated, I was cool with it. Looks like we'll have two boys born in GPG around the same time with the same first name. ninja

Well it's an awesome name for two awesome kids! blaugh I so know what you mean about April, where the heck did it go!?!?
Last appointment I was 2 cm dialated and 75% effaced! I go again Thursday so we'll see what happens! I have acctually been having some pretty decent contractions (they are to the point where they hurt now) but they usually stop if I move around or they are just very irregular. So not the real thing yet! 10 days to go! sweatdrop
