Sephriea Noir Hey Aerliss. Should I call you that or Shard? No one's ever referred to me by Aerliss before... either is fine by me. Gotta say now; Aerliss came about many years before FF7 existed, it's not based on Aeris/Aerith at all... Quote: And for Lucrecia..She looks just the same as she did in DOC, If you played it yet? She may just be like how Vincent was. Older, but never looked to have aged because of being asleep so long..In her case, asleep in that crystal. I live in Britain sad It's not out here till November... Cool, thanks for all the info, Sephriea... Yo, Koranger... wanna tell me what is going on with Sephy?

Basically, he shows up every now and then, whenever it suits his fancy, but until we get around to establishing a plot, he's faded into the background for now. Currently, he's residing within the partially-rebuilt Shin-Ra building, in what (by my idea) was once his personal quarters. He sealed it off so that the Shin-Ra cannot enter, and comes and goes as he pleases via a large window.

Shard Aerliss But why is he good? And why is he alive? Sorry to be a pest but I wanna get this right before I enter the RP... No worries. I understand the cause of confusion. (Yes, this is Korangar..this is my Sephiroth account) He is...well...better to answer the second question before answering the first.. He is alive because, in the game, when you went up against Bizarro and then Savior Sephiroth, when the group went down to confront him, the Sephiroth they fought was standing atop a large red branch that held a large chunk of materia. However, this large chunk of materia is what Sephiroth was in previously, when Cloud gave up the Black Materia. And this large piece of materia was still intact, meaning that the real Sephiroth was actually still inside it. How could there be a second Sephiroth standing there for them to fight, one may ask? The Sephiroth that they had been following since Midgar..the one that Cloud encountered in the Shin-Ra mansion at Neibelhiem...the one that killed Aerith and the Shin-Ra president....was a clone. A duplicate forged from the JENOVA project, which involved the injection of all members of SOLDIER with JENOVA cells. As Hojo had stated earlier, hosts of JENOVA are capable of altering their appearance at will. All those failed clones that the main clone had pitched off the cliff could very well have landed near each other, and the cells from most of them found the successful clone after it was killed (after having taken on the form of another JENOVA piece), and restored it to health for the final fight, leaving Sephiroth within the materia chunk he had been spotted in before. When the Northern Crater collapsed at the end of the game, that chunk of materia would have been buried, but given its location at that point, it would have been actually sent into the lifestream. Over time, the chunk would have melted away, as ice does in water, causing Sephiroth to float freely through the stream. While in the stream, he would be accessible for contact by the spirits within the lifestream, such as Professor Gast, for example, who was the only human he actually respected. Gast then would have the opportunity to teach Sephiroth about all he had found through his research about JENOVA, even informing Sephiroth that JENOVA was not a Cetra, and that JENOVA had deceived him into doing that whole escapade, in order to give her the power needed to consume the planet and continue on her way. Upon surfacing (either at the southern island or remains of the Northern Crater), Sephiroth would awaken, fully aware of all that had been done in his name, which he had done in the name of the being that convinced him it was his true calling. And he would be also aware of what JENOVA truly was, and that the past seven years (although, this having been after Advent Children, so it would be nine years), had been all a hoax. Now sane and armed with that knowledge, as well as (due to having been submerged within the lifestream for so long, from which is forged both materia and mako) immense power, he would be free for the first time in almost a decade to do as he saw fit. Why he is good, now, shall be answered. He was 'good' before Neibelhiem, if you consider a powerful general for the Shin-Ra army to be good. He is returned to that mental state, only more powerful and more informed. He has a personal war against JENOVA, and, due to what he had learned as well, against Shin-Ra. However, due to his training and experiences, his methods cause him to be more of an anti-hero than anything else. He is 'on the good side,' but his methods are far from ethical.

Thanks for the er... essay, lol. Nice way to bring him back and make him not-so-bad. But, I gotta contest something...
Sephy was controlling JENOVA's cells during the events of FF7 and AC (as confirmed in the Ultimania Omega). He was the one forcing JENOVA to do his will, he was the one who created Kadaj (his cruelty), Yazoo (his allure) and Loz (his power).
Sephiroth's will and ambitions were too powerful for him to be controlled by JENOVA, and he became its ruler instead.

But I must disagree with you on this point. Within the Neibelhiem incident, he began his spiral into insanity when in the reactor, when confronted with the method by which he was made. He did not sleep for the next few days, absorbing all information about Jenova as he could. When he finally snapped, he went to the reactor to take Jenova with him as he began his campaign to conquer the world. At every step of the way, he devoted his actions to Jenova, always stating it that it was Jenova's will that he do things.
In AC, the three were seeking Jenova's head to do her will, as well. Kadaj even stated that when they found the head, Sephiroth would return, and he hated that, and hated Sephiroth for being Jenova's favorite, but wanted to do Jenova's will, anyway. All these actions, the gathering at the Northern Crater in the game, geostigma in AC, and everything done under the influence of Jenova's cells has been to bring Jenova back together and feed her power. I've no idea who is behind Ultimania Omega, but from the game and movie alone, every piece of evidence points to it being Jenova who was behind everything, beginning with Sephiroth when he was suffering with sleep deprivation and the beginnings of psychosis.
Sephiroth was a General, first and foremost. While he had the mind to command an army, he was a soldier, and would willingly obey the commands of someone he believes to be superior.
