(( I have about an hour, it will not have to be too quick so long as you just get your replies in quickly and I do to. ))
After he finished his breakfast, Ben had made his rounds of the place. He had dusted off areas in the bedrooms, cleaned some parts of the place and even organized a few of the items he had to work with on his desk. He made his way back to the main tavern, poured a glass of water from the bar before sitting down at his table. He lit a clove smoke and puffed on it while he quietly watches the place.

*Synge woke up feeling very refreshed and with no hints of her previous sickness. She felt much better than she usually felt actually and was eager to go downstairs. However, the first thing she did was take a quick shower. She wondered if Ben would notice her Gardenia scent again. After drying off she slipped on some clothes and made her way downstairs to the scent of cloves, and instantly noted that she should find Ben down there as well. She was right, as she saw Ben sitting down at a table smoking. She went over to him.*
Hi there. Sleep ok?

Ben is smoking calmly while seeming lost in thought. He doesn't move much until he ashes his smoke and takes a drag. However, when you speak it seems to get his attention. He looked up at the sound of footsteps on the floor of the tavern and hearing a question. He looks up and smiles at you when you approach, blowing his smoke away from you.
Hi there...sleeping? Yeah... I slept alright. My body just isn't as strong as it used to be. how have you been?

*Synge notices that you seem to be a bit out of it and wonders what you were thinking about before she came into the room. However, she is more interested in his comment about his body at the moment. She takes a seat near him and crosses her feet and ignores his question about how she has been.*
You make it sound like you are an old man. So what is it? Are you an old man or have you just been working your body harder than an innkeeper would be?

Ben seems to be ashamed of the answer he has to give but it is the best way to explain it.
I do feel like an old man some days. My body has...well...some complications that make me weaker than most some days. But enough about that, how are you feeling? Has the pain gone away? Do you have any more fever? You are looking much more lively than you used to.
It was apparent that the question he was asked had been answered with as much information as he felt like giving at the moment and he enthusiastically moved on to questions about you.

*Synge was not happy to let the subject go, but felt it was best not to make her only friend annoyed with her already. Still, she had to say something because she felt she could relate.*
Oh, that is so strange. I sometimes think my body hates me with all the times I seem to get sick, or feel sick. Kind of runs in my family I guess. Of course, right now I am feeling good, much better than yesterday. No fever that I can tell of, and no pain...
*She stopped there, suddenly wondered if he knew exactly what was hurting her yesterday. Did she mention it was her eye or give it away somehow? She couldn't remember. Shaking this thought away she went back to her previous thought.*
So, you seemed off in your own world when I came in. Thinking about anything interesting?

Well, that's good to hear. You seemed like you were hurting pretty badly. See...when you have a major pain in your body...well...the rest has to react...often this makes your body work overtime so...it's easy to get a fever from the biological workings and high fevers lead to dizziness...you must have really been hurting bad. I mean...I am no doctor but if you need help again I will do what I can.
Despite the fact that he had claimed to not be a doctor, the way the Ben talked about such things with so much confidence seemed to indicate that he was rather knowledgeable in matters of health.
Thinking about interesting things? Heh...my thoughts are pretty boring...usually about what is next on my "to do" list or whatnot...it would probably bore you to death.

*Synge was impressed by all the things you were saying about her body. She thought for a moment about the knowledge he displayed yesterday as well and wondered if he had maybe studied these things before. The only kind of healing she was capable of doing involved no knowledge of the human body and wasn't something she would ever do again anyway. She thought about the pain her eye caused her and wondered if that was what was increasing her sickness lately. She simply nodded and didn't share these thoughts.*
Well I don't know, I don't think talking is boring. So what is next on this list of yours?

Ben seems lost in thought for another brief instant after he was asked.
Oh? Nothing really...mostly I just want to figure out what to do about my cook...I fear I may have to fire her as I haven't seen her in several days and she left no notice of being gone for so long. I also wanted to update my medical journal about what I did for you so that I can make a diagnosis in the end.

*Synge sat listening with a normal amount of interest until you so casually mentioned your medical journal, at which point she raised an eyebrow in wonder and said the first thing that came to her mind.*
I thought you said you weren't a doctor. So what are you then? And as far as your cook goes, I think she is probably just busy right now. I would at least wait until she comes back and give her a chance to explain.
