A single bead of sweat rolled down the side of her face as Asternyx concentrated hard, trying to pull out chakra from her body. No good...the pain in her central chakra pool was intensifying... She shouldn't push the Jutsu too much or risk further damaging her already injured chakra system. And so, Asternyx dropped the Bunshin halfway through activation, allowing the rest of the chakra to dissipate in the air. She could always meditate some more and regain that lost chakra rather than risk overpushing her rather delicate chakra system...

She allowed a full minute to pass before attempting the Bunshin again. Her hands formed the seals quickly, yet still accurately. This time Asternyx drew out chakra at an more suppressed, average rate, evening it out through the technique. Her effort to control the Jutsu was rewarded, as in a puff of smoke, this time...a perfect clone stood by her side. Asternyx got up from her seat and eyed her doppelganger up and down, before deeming the clone a passable likeness of herself. It felt a bit foreign to watch her clone copy her every movement...

Her expression seemed a bit on the exhausted side but a small smile was on Asternyx's face. She had successfully performed the Bunshin twice now... Her problem with Ninjutsus was intractable but not insurmountable. And one day, she will make sure to overcome her chakra system's handicap. As long as she holds on to this faith...nothing will be able to break her determination... Not for the Hyuuga clan...not for Konoha...but for herself. And...the day she can overcome this handicap...at last...she will be free...

So her last trail did not succeed... That was alright. Exhausted, Asternyx leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes. What did Lady Yokou often say during the meditation lessons? Flow...flow...feel the flow of nature...the flow of chakra...the flow of life...within the techniques. Not to perform them like a doll...that was something scrolls cannot help with. That was something learnt by trail and error...to create the correct flow. So much she does not yet understand...the shinobi arts truly was something mystical, something with a...truly attractive draw...
---
Cp: 2/4
Not yet. She may not be able to feel the right flow yet, but she will get there. Her hands closed the space over her lap, fingertips gently touching... Asternyx willed the energy of her body to flow out. Chakra...was it like a part of her soul in a way? Spiritual with physical energy...combined to manipulate the very elements of nature...the elements of the mind...of even the elements determining life and death... Exchanging a piece of their own life force to save others...with medical ninjutsu... The seals masters...the genjutsu masters...
---
Cp: 3/4
Chakra molding in itself...was balanced. Just like in the final product - the technique itself. The root of this...like the yin-yang symbol... The two sources of chakra alone could not create the symbol, but together, they can. Each with a bit of the other with itself... And to perform a ninjutsu...that balance must be maintained as well... The balance between humans and nature...the balance within chakra, the ninja arts... And for a moment, Asternyx longed...much more so...to really learn ninjutsus... She wasn't really being selfish right? She...she...really prided in being born a Hyuuga...but somewhere there...she wished for a path other than just taijutsu... Asternyx didn't want to live within clan restrictions - she wanted to step free.
---
Cp: 4/4
But was it possible? Her chakra system was hurt to this extent...and to imagine the central pool... But...her mother...before passing away a few years ago...had always encouraged her...to believe in herself...that nothing was insurmountable. Yet...back then she did not have this injury... No...she mustn't dwell on it. Or she may one day blame Lady Yokou...something the child could not accept. Medical ninjutsu...she will become stronger...one day...she will become a great medic-nin... She will use her doujutsu...to help save lives...she...she will study harder...and someday save herself... Never again, will she burden others with her problems.

Then...she cannot stay here. Asternyx didn't finish her technique this time as her resolution became clear. As soon...as soon as she passes the Academy...she will travel... To a distant place...she will learn to grow stronger... And one day she will return...one day, to face the Konoha council as perhaps equals... But where will she go...? Suna and Kiri was out of the question... To Taki? Kusa? Yuki? No...her heart tells her those villages wasn't what she was looking for. To Ame? Perhaps...perhaps even Oto. She wanted to see the world - she wanted to learn how to grow herself. Not simply told...she wanted to experience...

A slight frown crossed her face. Should she really consider Oto? That village was ruled by an Uchiha after all... Which wasn't very wise, considering the animosity between her clan and the Uchihas. And Ame was very far away from here... She did not know the terrain, so it would be difficult, harsh travel. Kusa's kage, the last she overheard Lady Yokou saying, was insane...not smart to go to his place... She may have to wait longer than expected. Perhaps not directly after she becomes Genin. She will need to give this plan some time...most probably late into her Genin year...

Perhaps she should worry about that later when the time comes...and put her focus on the technique at hand for now. Let's see...drawing out energy from her body's cells...combining with her spiritual energy... Of one, yet also of the other... That...was chakra... And to combine that chakra with her technique...and even it out...to manifest the technique...

Close... Asternyx breathed out. But not quite. The clone she had made wasn't perfect...and she could see where she had gone wrong. First off, she hadn't captured the colors perfectly...the hair's shade was slightly off and the clothes was a bit wrong - for example, Asternyx had mirrored where she had kept her kunai pouch on the wrong side. She picked up her pen, tossed it in the air once, before aiming the object at her clone. It dispersed into smoke.
---
Cp: 2/4
She didn't have enough chakra to try again...so she might as well rest up again. This time, instead of meditating formally, Asternyx leaned back casually in her chair, simply taking in the classroom fully in her eyes before turning her gaze out the window. A single fat bird sat on the windowsill. A small smile crept across her lips as she watched the fat bird arguing with a squirrel over a nut.
---
Cp: 3/4
In the end, the squirrel won out, and was running away with the nut, while the fat bird was taking chase. And then the squirrel...sort of got lifted up into the sky with his nut...by the fat bird. Asternyx blinked once, watching the bird working very hard to keep himself, the nut, and the squirrel in the air. Which didn't work too well, as the two fell out of sight.
--
Cp: 4/4
Asternyx allowed herself a quiet chuckle. Heh...both the squirrel and the bird didn't know when to give up. The bird, even though knowing her couldn't fly very well...and the squirrel, that escaping from such close proximity was nearly impossible... Oh... She intook a sharp breath as she noticed the squirrel and the fat bird come back up to sight. They had broken the nut between them...and was contentedly sharing their lunch...

Asternyx may not be as 'fate bent' as the other Hyuugas but she...believed this was a sign from above...for her to not lose hope. Somewhere on the line, she was sure...everything will work out fine. As long as she doesn't lose hope, one day...her dream to excel in ninjutsu...will come true. She won't have to abandon everyone...it's true eventually she'll have to train outside Iwa and explore the world...but...for now...for now... She could take comfort in being around...such...strong-willed people...

She had finished with this technique at last. Asternyx leaned back in her chair, as she allowed her chakra reserves to recover. This technique may have taken more work than usual...but that was alright. The red-haired Hyuuga girl eyed the clone next to her. She raised her right hand, and the clone did the same. And she reached out her hand to her clone...their fingertips touched briefly, before...the doppelganger vanished.

It wassent a surprise the hyuga had already finished the jutsu with ease, much as she had flown threw everthing else she had this as well wich was of no surprise. Giglamesh expected tao to be first but he didnt jump fast enough this time and the hyuga had goten the jump on him, giglamehs would simply begin to wonder how well Ayumi was doing, as she was off pratceing so she would be done alreayd as well giglamesh wassent sure though. (even though i know she hassent tried yet.....) Agin giglamesh had to wait around threw the boreing jutsu lessons, it was only his hope yumi would finish quickly and make rapid progress so she could prove to be of some fun once this acdemy class came to a close.

Tao appeared to be fiddling with the rubix cube once more, still wondering how it was possible to finish it in eight moves. After an hour (nearly ignoring the lesson in the process), he came to the conclusion that shenanigans were being performed, and decided to stop letting it bother him.

Tao formed the hand signs, concentrated his chakra into the image of himself, and closed his eyes. In a moment, his form was consumed with a blast of smoke, and in his place, two Taos now appeared to challenge anything the world might throw at him/them. The fake Tao even held a rubix cube. They nodded to each other and continued to twist the cube in additional curiosity until the clone faded away.
((CP 2/3, Success 1/3))
------
Tao made another attempt, forming the same hand signs, but at the last moment lost focus of his goal. The result was a ghastly bloated Tao-clone, sort of like the original but with ten different levels of down syndrome. Tao sighed, and let the abomination of a jutsu fade away, grumbling in minor irritation that such a foul image of himself could have been generated.
((CP 1/3, Success 1/3))
------
Tao continued his attempts, but only noticed at the last second that he was holding his hands about the rubix cube while still performing the hand signs, grossly misinterpreting the jutsu in the process. This time, the result was not a failed clone, but some kind of explosion. When the smoke cleared, Tao lay on the ground, the rubix cube blown to pieces. A part of Tao was glad the distraction was gone. The rest of him decided to just rest.

Tao lay on the ground, still watching the stars dance as he babbled incoherently, letting his chakra replenish itself naturally. His jacket, at this point, was almost blackened by the amount of dirt that had accumulated all over himself between the various training, fighting, and cube-based intellectual challenges.
((CP: 1/3))
Tao yawned, his senses slowly returning to his skull as he began to sit up, rubbing the top of his head and squinting behind his sunglasses. He crossed his leg, leaning forward a bit to wipe the sweat off of his brow. He spit once into the ground, rubbing his palms together as he felt his chakra returning, and the desire to finish this jutsu fresh in his mind.
((CP: 2/3))
Tao slowly rose to his feet, calmly walking along the wall. He could feel himself returning to 100%, at least chakra-wise, and ready to begin work on the jutsu once more. He smiled politely at *, who had beaten him to the punch, though he was convinced it was not a show of difference in ability. He had simply let her go first.
