Elgarez nodded. "I see," he responded. "I will still stay here until you fall asleep, if it helps." He continued to read his book.

She lay down on the bed. "Elgarez?" she whispered again. "If Eros dosent come back for me...will you stay here?" her hand lightly touched his. A child-like longing in her voice.

Elgarez did not bother lowing his book. "What? You mean forever?" The question was quite vague.

"Maybe..." She whispered, really meaning yes. "I'm afraid that you'll all leave and I'll be alone in this place again....I'd miss you..."

The young man was terrified to say the least. He backed away from the stranger slightly. The stranger gave him a friendly smile and offered his hand.
"My name is Eros. And you are?"
This seemed to somewhat calm the man's nerves. He managed to shake himself of his fear enough to take the pale hand into his own.
"I am Lucas. I'm traveling for a while."
"Really now?" Eros was fast gaining interest in this boy. He was willing to take interest in nearly anything to keep his wandering thoughts away from Devivnity.
"I'm a painter. I wanted to travel around countries that seem to be much more old fashioned. It gives me inspiration."
"A painter! How wonderful. And what is it you love to paint?"
"People." The man answered without hesitation.
"People fascinate me. The diiferent features, clothes, mannerisms, walks. It's all so different depending on where one is." Lucas paused a moment to study Eros.
"You're not from around here are you? You look nothing like the villagers."
"You are correct. I'm not from around here."
Another pause, as Lucas continued to search for some sort of answer within the enigmatic smile slapped acroos Eros' lips.
"Do you mind if I paint you?"

Elgarez sighed. "I can't always be here," he said. "As a saint, I am obligated to help the needy and fend off evil. I have the power to do so. If you can, you must... and if I don't... who will?"

Devi gave in, ignoreing him completely, pretending to sleep while waiting for him to leave. She felt she had to find an escape. A freedom she never had before. Devi pulled the blankets over her and curled up tightly. Her thoughts swirling.

Elgarez chuckled quietly. Her thoughts were to active for her to be asleep and he knew it. He would wait until she really fell asleep. He could wait as long as he needed. As a saint, sleep was unnecessary.

"I must leave here...To get away from this rediculous play he continue." Devi tossed in her fake sleep, haveing forgotten Elgarez could hear her thoughts. She sighed, her greatest desire was to leave this place, if only for a moment...

Baylor had gone downstairs to think of somthing to cheer Devi up. He didn't like it when his friends were sad; so with Devi this upset, he couldn't handle it. He then got an idea. He went into the kitchen and fetched a wine glass and a cup. I hope this works... Baylor then stretched out his left arm while grabbing a piece of wood. He placed the wood into his mouth and clamped down on it as he cut a would into his arm and drained the blood into the glass. When the glass was near full, he grabbed a towel and tied it on his arm to keep it from bleeding. He threw the wood and knife into the sink and ran upstairs with the blood. He opened the door slowly and saw Elgarez next to Devi's bed. Thinking Devi was asleep, he quietly went into the room and placed the glass on the bedside dresser for her to have later.

Jusaku came back inside and went to Devi's room, to his surprise, he saw Elgarez sitting by her while she slept. "Is she okay?" He asked Elgarez, sort of worried about why she went into a depression.

Devi jumped up at the smell of something warm, fresh, irrisistable. She stared for a moment at the small glass, the crimson liquid radiateing its heat inside it, rather confused. She soon recognized the scent of it. She took the glass in her hand and sipped it gently. She assumed it was a feeling like what humans get drinking hot chocolate. Something warm filling you up, comforting you completely. She savored each drop that touched her lips. Almost intoxicateing as she drank in small sips, hopeing it would last long enough for her to ignore her feelings. She smelled the still oozeing blood in the house. Her instinct to hunt tugging at her yet she brushed it off. She sighed as the cup emptied...Licking the inside. She had missed that taste. Even haveing had it not so long ago.

The statement itself did not surprise Eros. The mortal's courage to say it was what surprised him, though less than it shocked the human. Judging by the rapid coloration of Lucas' face he wished he could eat the words that had flown through his lips. Eros smiled at the man's bashfulness.
"And why would you want to paint my face?" The tone of Eros' voice could be dismissed as sarcastic, yet there was a grim seriousness in it that could be felt. Lucas seem to feel it for his nervous blush had faded somewhat.
"I want to paint it because, well," he paused yet again. He searched the pale face before him, longing for his thoughts to organize themselves into words.
"I've never seen it before. And I don't think I ever will again." All humor had fled. Both men knew Lucas was very earnest.
"Why do say that, Lucas?" It was the first time either of them had spoken the other's name.
"With other people, I can look at one person's face in any country, and later compare one thousand other faces to it, from all across the globe, and find countless similarities. Yet, I cannot recall a single face to compare with yours."

Devi smiled, vanishing the glass and exiting her room. She felt no need for these people to feel sorry for her. She changed into a tight leather corset and tight leather shorts, pulling on her cloak. "I'm going out little ones, behave while I'm gone." She said plainly
