"So... you basically spied on my family..." Gustave said, "But... with good reason, I suppose... So... I forgive that..." He sighed slightly, and continued, "Well... I would listen if you told us... I mean, I'm wrapped up in the fate of Hyrule, aren't I...?"

"Of course you are Darlin',"the woman smiled as her son broke away.

This was to much information for him to handle, "About that Ma, I'm gonna be gone for alittle while, so I'm gonna go pick up some clothes and be on my way," Link told her then began his ascension up thje stairs, "Come on Gus."

Alana stared after him and noticed a blue hilt sticking out of his shield. It was just the way her Great grandfather described it.. the master sword, which meant. Alana turned around and suddenly noticed the blond girl in the room, "So, you must be Zelda."

(She knows from the stories that Zelda would have needed to help Link)

"Er... but..." Gustave started to say, but was soon defeated... "Aw..." He soon floated up the stairs after Link...

Link entered his room and began searching through his drawers, "What do you think I should take?"

Zelda blinked, then nodded. "It's good that someone is keeping track of things besides the royal library; there may come a time where it is not a reliable resource." She managed a small smile, still feeling ashamed for her jealousy, but not quite over the jealousy in spite of that.

"Yes, well I've always found that a first hand source is better then some dusty old book," Alana replied, "My father used to tell me stories about his grandfather and all the adventures he used to have. I tried to pass them on to Link, but after a certain age he just stopped listening."

Zelda nodded again, smiling slightly. "I can believe that," she said, almost to herself. She became lost in thought for a few seconds, then, with the skill of long practice, pulled her mind pack to the present. The humor left her eyes. "If, or rather, when Gannondorf finds out who Link is, you could be in great danger; he might try to use you as a hostage to force Link to surrender." She looked down and bit the side of her lower lip. " You should go in to hiding, preferably sooner rather than later." She glanced up, looking intently at the older woman's face, her eyes empathetic and sad. "Do you have anywhere you can go?"

"You're very kind Darlin', but I think I Can handle myself," The woman smiled, thinking back to the arsenal stored in her barn. "The one I am worried about is Link," She sighed and then walked over towards her table and picked up a scroll that was lying out, "After Link left last night, I began looking around for this. It's just a few spells great grandpaps learned on his travels. I've tried to work them out myself but I was just never very good at magic and that sort. But still, I can sense great magic in you and so I would like you to do me a favor, in your travels, do ya'll think you could teach Link?"

Zelda was trying to keep a frown from her face; she was not used to her concerns simply being brushed aside like that. She opened her mouth to protest, but then her attention was drawn toward the scrolls, and she was effectively and completely diverted.

Upon hearing the woman's request, she tore her eyes away from the obviously old scrolls and nodded. "I'm not sure I'll be able to teach him much until he accepts who he is more, and that will take time that I'm not sure we have." She smiled reassuringly. "But I promise to do my best."

"Thank you," the woman responded, handling over the scroll. In that moment, a different thought occurred the her and her maternal instincts kicked in, "I'll bet you haven't eaten all day, want me to whip something up for ya?"

Link entered his room and began searching through his drawers, "What do you think I should take?"

((Sorry bout the delay...))

"I... don't really care..." Gustave said, "I'm not a master of clothes, Link..."

Zelda's face brightened with the first true smile since Link called Epona, then faltered slightly as she remembered that this woman probably had many, much more important things to worry about. "If your not to busy, that would be lovely," she replied.

"No trouble at all, when you have a growing teen aged boy, ya get used to cooking at odd hours," the woman laughed, then walked over to a nearby basket of eggs, "It'll be ready in a jiff."

Zelda brought her hand up to stifle a giggle as she imagined Link waking his mother up in the middle of the night, asking her to cook him something. Still smiling, she moved over to the stairs. "Hurry up, Link!" she called up, "Your mother is cooking us breakfast!"
